The animation is what bugs you, I believe, because it kicks in before the secret. It is working as intended. Longbow makes you immune to combat damage, to damage you could get from the character you're attacking. Attacking the hero directly doesn't belong into this category, as the hero has no attack and therefore can't deal any damage to you. So in this case, the weapon doesn't provide immunity.
Another way to explain it is that you could just think about what happens with a, let's say, 2-HP minion. It attacks and the secret triggers before it is able to attack and therefore deal damage, thus killing it. It is the same with the Longbow - Explosive Trap triggers before the attack. If it makes sense, you might ask? I don't know.
RNGesus hates you when you have a winstreak. You'll lose multiple times even if your deck counters the opponent's and playing with another class/deck wont help at all.

Your explanation about Gladiator's Longbow makes no sense. It says when my hero attacks, he's immune. What does it matter what I'm attacking? I should be immune on the attacking phase against everything. If they have it programmed to work because they think that you will use the weapon only against minions that give you damage, then I believe we need another Beta phase (or them specify it in the weapon like this "You take no damage if you attack an enemy minion with this weapon"). But maybe it's just a bug.

Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
This applies to all Deathrattle effects. They resolve depending on the order in which the minions with said Deathrattle effects were summoned. The earlier such a minion was summoned the earlier its effect will resolve. Another common example here is Sylvanas Windrunner - so think twice when you plan playing her on an empty board. On the other side, playing her when your opponent has a Sylvanas, too, is often a brilliant idea as your Sylvanas will activate its ability before your opponent's in case they both die at the same time.

I didn't say that my explanation makes sense. I just told you how it works. If you don't believe it, try giving one of your beasts Immune with Bestial Wrath and then proceed to "attack" into a Freezing Trap. The secret will bounce your minion back just like the attack never happened.

Ofc it will bounce it. It's immune to damage, not effect. Srry, I thought u were mislead by someone.

a very good information for control warriors would be:
