You guys are acting like summoning a board full of minions isn't affecting the board. xD
I'm not saying this card is great or anything, because I'm keeping my judgements in reserve, but if you manage to summon a Voidwalker, a Doomguard, and two or more other minions, you've significantly altered the board state. What made Call of the Wild powerful? The synergy of the beasts, and the taunt/charge, which is similar to this, except for an additional justicar trueheart effect, and five armor, which compared with a pre nerf call of the wild, is probably way more value. And four demons isn't hard to pull off nevermind building a deck around this like N'zoth. (I'll concede the beast synergy has way more value then the demon synergy but meh, I'm sticking to this.)
In an aggro meta, this might not have much value or any at all, but in any midrange to controlish meta (Wild.), which it looks like midrange might be a thing again (even a small %) in standard, then this card will be golden just like N'Zoth is. It's impossible to judge what the meta is going to look like at the release of this expansion, nevermind what the more refined decks will look like? Remember all of those horribly incorrect card ratings of Un'Goro? Who knows, it could be the Rogue DK that wins this expac with a new refined Quest deck.
Plus that hero power, omg!
Edit: and you can always play around discarding this card with your doomguard, sure there's the odd games where you'll lose it, but if that's the case, you should have some sort of redundant win condition to fall back on in place of it if your playing this deck. Priests that have Lyra also have that OTK shit, if you wipe a druids board they have another one next turn, Paladins have their early game murlocs into late game Tirion's (and always, fucking, two Tirions in each Pally deck, now 3).
"Or of course, because you are 'a strong, independent deck builder, who needs no blizzard to tell them what to include', you make your deck deliberately weaker." - Skaduush1
1. play Krul to summon Felguard and Lakkari taunts without their battlecries going off.
2. Play DK to revivie demon taunts.
3. Profit
Almost seems possible. handlock can certainly afford to draw quite a few cards in most matchups. especially if you're running the Doom Bloodbloom combo.
The card is really cool and seems playable but I don't know if this really saves warlock on its own. All the demons in Warlock are fairly weak or have huge setbacks. Lets take a look at some of them together.
Abyssal Enforcer Is decent in an aggro meta with token shamans, but if we are moving into a control meta it loses some value. Similar situation with Dread Infernal
Doomguard Great card, but your still having to play with the discard mechanic that everyone loves to hate. Same goes for Lakkari Felhound as well as Succubus
These are the ones that are going to have the biggest impact from the Warlock Deathknight Card, and will more than likely be the ones used in a demon style deck.
Blood Imp Can't see this really being included in a deck. Flame Imp good card, will definitely be a 2 of. Voidwalker good card, will likely be a 2 of. Felguard unlikely to see play. Void Terror I love this card but outside of zoo, I don't think it will be good enough in a control meta. Unlicensed Apothecary Honestly, I don't know about this one but the drawback seems really huge if your opponent can ignore this for a few turns. Pit Lord Unlikely to see play. If you are combining this with flame imps, and life tapping you are going to die by turn 7, you are unlikely to even get your death knight card. Krul the Unshackled This ones curious. Its the turn before you would use the hero power, maybe it pulls out all your demons that would normally discard. But you have to build around it.
Illidan Stormrage is worth considering but hasn't really seen play much in the past.Prince Malchezaar Dilutes your deck a little too much for constructed.
I think that the hero card is really cool and definitely will help warlocks moving forward, I know they have shown us one good demon coming in the new expansion but, I just wanted to start a discussion as to how this card will play out given the current demons we know about.
EXTREMELY bad card. I don't get it why people are saying it's good. Discard is bad, and will remain bad. The Hero power is strong, but the battlecry is discard oriented -> bad card.
there is no mention of dicard, the deamons do not need to be discarded, they need to die to be brought back, just like with N'zoth.
True, but the best demon is, perhaps, Doomguard which requires a double-discard.
Also, there is another problem. A ten mana minion should affect the board immediately.
Handlock is one of those control decks that holds great tempo at turn 10 and is a defensive deck with lots of taunts, thats why Lord Jaraxxus was played in it, a great anti tempo card. It's not your regular control warrior, priest, paladin.
I wonder, when did you play Lord Jaraxxus against a full board? You should setup the board in order to play Lord Jaraxxus, because 15 damage is not that much. You agree that, right?
So, what I am saying is this card would let you play itself against a full board. But in order to play this card against a full board, you need some stabilization tools. If you don't have a taunt or charge, which you don't, this card would be unplayable. If you want to play a late game card against an empty board, you can play Lord Jaraxxus as a better win condition (Not against mage but the other classes). I hope I make myself clear.
You didn't get it I think. What I said is handlock is often the deck that holds the board on turn 10. That means you already have taunted giants and drakes etc on board, you are ahead on tempo, you are protected and not threatened. Handlock is all about surviving the early aggression, in the midrange game, it absolutely obliterates any deck. Against say Jade Druid its much more powerful than Jaraxxus, it brings great tempo that allows you to put pressure. Against say decks that run huge AoEs, this allows to refill the board.
Unlicensed Apothecary Honestly, I don't know about this one but the drawback seems really huge if your opponent can ignore this for a few turns.
Yeah, about that, you are taking anywhere from a luky 0 damage to 30 damage from this returning, depending on it's summon time. I'm referring to the DK battlecry.

Good rundown.
Unlicensed Apothecary gets into lots of trouble with things like Cornered Sentry or even a Dirty Rat. You also need to trade it before you summon much else. It's a weird card.
EXTREMELY bad card. I don't get it why people are saying it's good. Discard is bad, and will remain bad. The Hero power is strong, but the battlecry is discard oriented -> bad card.
WTH, the Battlecry is discard oriented ?! Text say - and I quote: ''Summon all Demons that died this game'' Most Demons don't discard and are nicely stated, exception made of a very few I think this is one of, if not THE, best DK card revealed.
My guess is as good as yours, but saying this is extremely bad couldn't be more easily disproven ^^

You are right, I didn't get what you said before. But the thing is, what can you pull off with this hero card when you play Handlock? You don't have many good demons. Despicable Dreadlord, Abyssal Enforcer, Voidwalker are the only ones worth to play. You cannot play two Abyssal Enforcers, they are slow and they make your face hurt a lot. Two Voidwalkers in Handlock? It seems pretty bad. Despicable Dreadlords are good demons and might worth. 5 demons make your hero card's battlecry very inconsistent. Because you might not play them in ten turns.
This is why, I don't think this card would be playable in this set.

who knows man some people just don't read. Seriously even this plus the two new Demon Cards that do 1 damage to enemy on end of turn is like a non-symmetrical Baron Geddon plus bodies, plus armor, plus EXACTLY what you want toward the end game - life plus targeted damage. it's bonkers.

only problem is that it is competing with jaraxxus. maybe run both, play the death knight first and switch hero powers to jaraxxus later? who knows
Better than Jaraxxus for sure

Welp, Warlocks can now do a double hero swap. Jaraxxus, spam 6/6, then revive all of your Dread Infernals with DK Guldan.
Release the Kraken!
The dream is this reviving two Doomguards and Mal'ganis.

Hands down, the best DK of the expansion.
Also, I need to know how DK Druid HP and DK Warlock's are balanced.
