I recently crafted Uther of the Ebon Blade and I've started tinkering around with many ideas of how to fit him in Control, Midrange and of course the fabled Exodia OTK.
I opened up this thread in hopes to find some more ideas on how to utilise Uther.
This is the Exodia list I've been using, but I've been struggling against Even Shaman. It melts Control decks, which I guess is the main purpose of the deck anyways.
Hm. Not sure about what you have to be pulled with CTA here.
Wouldn't want to get a Pyromaster yanked out when you desperately need him for board clears. Especially as what's basically Control Paladin.
That actually hasn't been a problematic part of the deck. I run double Consecration. The deck is basically very draw heavy so I usually have an answer.

This is a control deck. When fighting other control decks, CTA will really screw you over in a fatigue matchup. Also, if the horsemen are your win condition, Aunctionmaster Beardo + coins (Burgly Bully) or discounted spells via Thaurisan are way more reliable than the return to hand mechanics (personal experience).
Reno or no Reno, spare parts + Thaurissan + beardo seems like a great way to pull off the combo : better than Pixie, and not reliant on your opponent like Bully.
That being said, forcing your opponent to give you that coin you were going to kill him with has always been to me one of the most satisfying aspects of playing OTK pally.
In a control mirror, your win condition are the horsemen. You can't outvalue any other control deck anyway. So getting your combo pieces is very important and CtA will speed that up.

I'm currently sitting on 2.4k dust after crafting Uther of the Ebon Bladeand Malfurion the Pestilent both in golden. So my question is how much more reliable do you think the Auctionmaster Beardo combination is compared to the bounce effect. Which has currently worked quite fine. Actually played one mirror matchup which I won, mostly because I drew my deck way faster than my opponent. I mean honestly is it worth crafting a unique legendary that most likely won't see any play in any other deck besides this specific Exodia?
Back to the topic is anyone using Uther of the Ebon Blade in any other deck beside the exodia variant? Keen to see other lists.

Actually, have been playing a Reno variant, but I usually ended up either winning by fatigue or I lost before I was able to pull of the combination in the first place. Though that solely might be because of the fact I'm using the bounce mechanic.
Cheers for the suggestions though guys. Didn't expect all that many people to reply!

Actually, I initially tested a version without Deathlords. Instead of using the Aldor Peacekeepers, but they usually ended up really clogging my hand so I removed them in the end.

If you are short on dust, it is not really worth crafting beardo. I do not know any other half decent deck that uses him.
And you can put Uther in a midrange Paladin if you want. He is still okay with 15 heal and damage and a 2/2 is generally better than a 1/1. Unfortunately, in wild you have so much Synergy with silver hand Recruits, that it is mostly better to keep the original hero power (not to speak of the upgraded one from Baku or Justicar).
When KotFT came out, I was on the last 200ish wins for paladin and went for the N°500. I did many with Exodia and then for the last 50 or so made an wild-all-legendary deck.
I don't believe that this is what you were looking for, but I had tons of fun playing it, and Ebon Blade was an important part of it. The +20 health (3 attacks with 5attack lifesteal + 5 armor) gave a safe time.
Seems like a lot of work for OTK. You need to have multiple horsemen in hand and get off the emperor to make it work. I played a lot of pre-WW Exodia and getting different horsemen in hand is a pain. Otherwise you can win non-OTK if you rely on opponent letting one live turn, which no decent opponent will allow. There's a reason the bully-beardo version was the top one pre-WW, rather than trying to play a bunch brewmasters.
This is my personal exodia paladin list. The trick here is rather than attempt to use Burgly Bullys (which is inconsistent, and can be played around), or Blackwalde Pixies, which are standalone dead cards until they win the game, I use clockwork Gnomes to get spare parts to activate the combo, so the number of dead cards in the deck is reduced. You are playing a ton of dead cards in your list, for example, Brewmasters, Pixies, and Gorgon, where I only have Spare Parts (which are cycled into your hand), Emperor, Auctioneer, and 1 Random 1 mana spell in the deck of your choice, but equality also works thanks to Fencing Coach.
Fencing Coach and Ivory Knight are both optional, and can be traded out for tech cards, such as the 3 mana weapon hate ooze, or Enter the Coliseum for big decks like Cubelock and Big Priest. Fencing Coach makes pulling off the combo slightly easier, as you don't have to hit all 3 1 mana spells with emperor, or you can sub in a 2 mana spell that has been emperored, or it can be used as a 3 mana 3/3 over 2 bodies. The way the deck curves also allows it to play like a Midrange deck, until you decide to OTK your opponent, some games will actually just be finished by Uther swinging a 5/3 weapon at your opponent for lethal.
I don't get why everyone is dismissing the bounce mechanic in this thread. In my opinion, the issue with the first list posted was not the bounce mechanic but rather the use of Blackwald Pixie instead of Garrison Commander. Bounced Horsemen and Blackwald Pixie don't give you an OTK unless you hit one of them with Emperor Thaurissan. When using Garrison Commander, you don't need to cheapen anything.
The reliance on Emperor Thaurissan is also something that I didn't like about the usage of Auctionmaster Beardo, which is why I dismissed this option long ago (although I didn't think about Clockwork Gnomes back then and only tried Secrets and Burgly Bully to trigger him).
My current list can be found in my signature, feel free to check it out. I like the way it plays and I am having fun with it for almost a year now.

I'm open to any feedback to the deck as I'm not a genius when it comes to deck building.

I think its better OTK with Burgly Bully and Auctionmaster Beardo.
This way you reduce your combo pieces and can open some spots to tech cards. Double Spikeridged Steed and may a Lynessa Sunsorrow can help hold aggro

I've always wanted to try this deck out :

I personally also prefer Auctionmaster Beardo to the brewmaster combo. You do not have dead cards until you get Uther running and you avoid losing too much tempo. So instead of the Ancient Brewmaster and Zola the Gorgon you could add two Clockwork Gnome (they will synergize with CtA) and a Mechanical Yeti. The pixies could also be replaced. Maybe with Aldor Peacekeeper.

Try to run a control version with Rummaging Kobold so you can get your Grave Vengeance back, might be fun
And i don’t even play Paladins
Here's what I've been playing around with:
I'm also not a fan of Call to Arms because of Hydrologist.

I've actually been working on my Call to Arms Exodiadin deck, and it's gotten much, much better after some feedback in the pally forums.

Exactly true. I like your effort to make Uther OTK without Beardo.

When i play Garrison Commander and then Blackwald Pixie can i use my Heropower 4 times? Does someone know how they interact?
Nope. Garrison Commander says twice a turn, not an additional time.
