I agree with op insofar as I really enjoy Hearthstone when I play my own decks, and I have a weird syndrome that makes me play whatever is the dumpster class of the moment, unable to ever take any satisfaction in winning with busted decks and overpowered cards.
I also can't help but rage at times at my netdecking opponents doing unfair shit turn after turn, and can't help but to have a sense of integrity using fair cards and having my shaman draw engine have me draw almost as many cards as x2 Refreshing Spring water and x2 Cram session.
However, I don't think that my enjoyment comes from the sense of integrity I get. That sense of integrity is bullshit. I like winning like anyone else. The truth is I just like being the underdog. And the satisfaction I get of winning 1 out of 3 games against meta decks is far superior to the satisfaction I would get from 2 out 3 wins with tier 1 lists.
Because of this, I personally want to play against meta decks because the kick I get is taking down with my own off-meta creation. And I want to know how good my home-brew deck is against the field, against the best decks in the field, not against some idiot like me playing weak decks.
I maybe wrong, but I suspect that op might actually want other players to play meta decks. Maybe to feel morally superior - which would be dumb, but some are like that, I know I tend to be. But maybe to actually know how good your own deck is, and to sometimes win as the underdog - which isn't dumb but should make you stop from criticizing other players from playing the best decks.
TLDR : "Where is the challenge in playing decks that are supposed to win ?" Indeed, but where is the challenge playing against decks that aren't supposed to win ?
Meta is a greek term that has many meanings, one of which is « over and above ». It is thus used to refer to the theory you get when you place yourself on a higher level of analysis (meta-ethics is the science of different ethical views, each of which gives you a theory of human actions). So, in video games, the meta is the gamestate as it exists across many different particular games, and can be contrasted with « in game ».
clever acronym though !
As for BG, it is nice to see I’m not alone loosing like mad. Explanations given above seem accurate. I’ll add that Arcane canon seems too strong and swingy in the early game, preventing your attacks to ever go off when combined with the 2/1 deathrattle pirate. This makes me take 10+ damage quite frequently early on...
........you've never seen someone suddenly snap and lose their shit in real life? At a certain point, you no longer can keep it together and all the emotions you've been trying to calm all come back to the surface and you stop being rational. I don't know why it's so hard to believe, since that's how it actually works.
Right, but they still follow some semblance of logic. She snapped, we get it, yet her "emotions she's been trying to calm" were against Cersei, not millions of innocents. If she snapped, she would have gone straight to Cersei and the red keep and burned it down. She's been trying to save the masses all 7 seasons, and you're saying she snapped and decided, I'm going to spend 30 minutes burning this city down in a rage and kill everyone I've tried to protect, meanwhile my true enemy just sits up in a tower right there and I'll ignore her?
Also, let's not forget she "snapped" right at the point she f'ing won. The city bells were ringing in surrender, she won, this would NOT be the time she would snap. If she was to snap, it'd be after Mellesendai or the dragon died, not when she won what she spent her whole life trying to achieve.
It's dumb, and just a gimmick so they can have Jon kill Dany at the end (there's absolutely no other resolution for the series at this point), and then say "see, GoT was never predictable to the end!" even though all the other shocking moments were actually, you know, seamless and in character for everyone involved, and helped /push/ the narrative instead of flip it on its head.
The way I see it, she didn’t want the bells to ring. That was Tyrion’s plan, and Danny wasn’t into it, suspicious as she was that everyone was conspiring against her. She wanted to have it her way and accepting surrender was to have Tyrion’s way, a Lanister. I think if you see her snapping as paranoia, it makes much more sense. Burning the city was a mad way of saying « I decide », and al your manoeuvrings to ploy my will have failed. I’m the queen. And thats been part of jer character for a long time: look at me I’m the Queen. That’s what makes her so annoying.
I completely agree with everything OP said. I would even go further and say that the "Genn and Baku problem" has already been solved, as no decks using these cards feels oppressive. It seems like they've decided to all of fame them to free up design space rather than to balance the meta. As it is, it feels nicely balanced and leaves quite some room for experimentation. As you said, quite a few new decks that have risen to prominence or even been created recently have found success. And you can have fun, I feel, without being punished for it. For instance, I went from 5 to 3 with a Snowfury Giant/Spirit of the frog Shaman which certainly isn't in any tier list. So yes, Blizzard should surely be credited for their recent work...
Sadly though, and as the few answers to your post quite blatantly show, the community is full of netdecking and lazy players that play whatever is on top of the tier lists and then complain when the list starts looking roughly the same for several weeks in a row. Its a shame, really. I feel that Hearthstone as a game is under appreciated because players behave like sheep and then complain its all the same.
I've made an even version of shuffle rogue. I don't think it looses that much from the non even version, and if you like daggering up, its loads of fun !
surely, its possible to get him from a Piniata or something... I’m surd Blizzard have delivered on this one : the sounds from a doomsayer or a noble sac guy attacking are great.

Happened to me as well.

Unless I am mistaken, Y'Shaarj's battlecry, as it is doubled, gets you a maximum of 4 medics and 4 tanks, so that is 4x8 + 4x4 = 32 + 16 = 48 damage.

Here's mine :
Headmaster Kel'Thuzad + Shadowflame
Kill your own minion (8/8 giant), get opponent's board AND your minion back. GGWP.

Why play Violet teacher over Vex crow ? -2 health for +1 costed minions, definitely worth it.

So will this be undisenchantable ?
What if I want a golden one ? Will I still be stuck with the ugly non-golden one if I craft it golden ?
