so you are happy that 2 cards see competitive play and other 3 cards are sometime used as meta call.
That out of a 132 cards expantion...we surely have different concept of "good" mate, that's for sure :D
I'd rather that than seeing another Patron/Boom/Undertaker. A expansion isn't good because it makes all previous cards irrelevant.(GvG)
Also if you still think only 2 cards see competitive play from TGT than I really can't believe that you play Hearthstone, or have read the statements above.
There's not only 2 card that see play but is still a really small amount. A good expansion does not have to replace old cards but Blizzard coul have made much more. For example as a stand alone Piloted Shredder is the best 4 drop and for a card to replace it is going to have to be really good(not trying to make a better card is a good idea)But they could have taken another route.
Look at classes that run an additional or a different 4 mana creature because of the good sinergy or effect that it has even if they are not the "best" 4 drop like Keeper of the Forest,Auchenai,Houndmaster,Voidcaller. They even failed at this.Hell they gave shaman three 4 drops on 3 content patches and each one of them is worst than Piloted Shredder instead of giving the class some good 4 mana minion with an interesting, helpful effect.
Is not about about powercreeping current cards is about making cards that give us more choices and are still playable.

Ok, you are right then, the ladder is full of TGT card and the fact that the top tier decks are Druid, Handlock and Patron is just a mere coincidence, Just one last thing : you can't fit Arcane Blast and competitive play in the same argument. It's against any logic
First of all your saying Secret Pally (and to a lesser degree Dragon Priest) aren't a top tier(or near) decks. Second Druid runs Aspirant, Roots, and as I said occasionally Combatant. Yes Handpick and Patron didn't change too much. As I said a expansion doesn't have to make the cards in sets before it completely useless(GvG) to be good. And as I said, Arcane Blast is quite playable in Tempo Mage. Not the best of decks but still not as gimmicky as you make it out to be.
Rhonin, Dreadscale, Coldarra Drake, Garrison Commander, Murloc Knight, Refreshment Vendor, Chillmaw, Twilight Guardian on top of everything mentioned here. just off the top of my head, but back to the topic:
I would be disappointed if they keep refusing to do Ulduar, as it has mechs and dragons and is their most successful raid to date.
Let's be real most TGT cards are awful, Inspire and Joust are cool mechanics but the cards introduced are beyond terrible, all other expansions shits on this piece of crap.
Let's be real most TGT cards are awful, Inspire and Joust are cool mechanics but the cards introduced are beyond terrible, all other expansions shits on this piece of crap.
All other expansions? All other expansions were for the most part the same. A few cards are used in top level play but most are simply gimmick effects or for balance in arena. You also haven't played any other TCGs. For the most part expansions suck. (most cards)
So for Blizzcon i serously dont expect more than...
1. Some more Hero portraits, nobody will realy care about
2. Some wine monologe from Brode about why 99% of a set needs to be unplayable crap and why Random is the best thing about the game, besides it beeing the most hated thing from the playerbase.
3. Additional Deckslots which can be bought with 5000g in the shop.
99% of the set needs to suck because not all cards can be top tier(common sense) and if they were all stronger than previous cards arena would die.
I really don't understand all the TGT hate. It was a much better expansion than GvG, which was Hearthstone's absolute low point. GvG basically gave us mech decks, a few good class cards for paladin, priest, and warlock (and one each for warrior and rogue), three cards that immediately became ubiquitous (Piloted Shredder, Antique Healbot, and Dr. Boom), and a handful of techy cards that sometimes see play (Kezan Mystic, Illuminator, Explosive Sheep). Everybody's most-hated RNG cards are from GvG, yet the vast majority of the set has never been used in constructed. Lots of people (including basically all hunters and druids) just swapped Shredder and Boom into existing decks and kept trucking along.
None of the TGT cards is as popular as Shredder/Boom (which is a good thing), but a lot more of them are actually seeing play. The rogue and warlock stuff has mostly been a bust so far, but all the other classes are using their new cards, and many of the new neutral minions are seeing play too (including legendaries—let's not forget that GvG may as well have only had two neutral legendaries, Boom andToshley). TGT gave us two entirely new top-tier archetypes (secret paladin and dragon priest), plus new-look control warriors, midrange druids, tempo mages, control priests, etc.
Anyway, I figure we'll get an Ahn'Qiraj or Zul'Gurub adventure next. Can't help but notice that absolutely none of that stuff is in the game yet.
Well it will likely be an adventure, so it will likely be based on an raid or set of raids from WoW. So far they have been based on classic raids, with only the ahn' Qiraj not done yet. Somehow I think this next adventure will be based on a non-classic raid. A caverns on time type adventure would have a lot of neat material to borrow from. We will likely see a new tribe too.
I realize the guy who claims that Mysterious Challenger and Darnassus Aspirant are the only new cards in the game is a troll, but if anybody else is curious what new cards I've been seeing in the game (NA, legend last season, rank 6 right now), I'd say:
Druid: Darnassus Aspirant is in literally every deck, and Living Roots in most as well. Druid of the Saber and Savage Combatant are in many decks, though not a majority. I see Wildwalker and Knight of the Wild occasionally (always with the previous two). I've seen Mulch and Aviana once each, and Astral Communion never (no surprise there). I should stress that this is all a huge improvement over GvG, when none of the new druid cards saw any play (although TGT's beast synergy has given Druid of the Fang a new lease on life).
Hunter: King's Elekk, Bear Trap, and Ram Wrangler are very common, with Bear Trap probably being the most popular. Brave Archer showed up in face hunter lists at first, but I haven't seen it lately. I've seen a couple people experimenting with Lock and Load and Powershot, but those are very rare; I haven't seen the other new hunter cards at all (except for from Lock and Load and Webspinner).
Priest: Wyrmrest Agent is in all dragon priest decks and Holy Champion is in pretty much all non-dragon priest decks. Confessor Paletress is a pretty common win condition for both varieties, though less common with dragons. I've seen Flash Heal a couple times, usually comboed with Auchenai Soulpriest, but I've never seen any of the others.
Rogue: There are hardly any rogues on the ladder, and most of them are running some variant of oil rogue that has adopted only Buccaneer, if that, from the new TGT cards. I have seen Burgle and Undercity Valiant in some of the few non-oil decks I've encountered. I think a lot of the new cards have untapped potential.
Warlock: Although the class remains popular, the new class cards have been a flop so far. Dreadsteed is the only one I've seen on the ladder.
Warrior: Also fairly unsuccessful. Bash is probably the biggest winner, seen in many if not most control warrior lists. Varian Wrynn shows up occasionally and I've seen Alexstrasza's Champion a couple times. I saw Sparring Partner and King's Defender once each (in the same deck). Haven't seen any of the others, although I'm waiting for somebody to exploit that sweet Orgrimmar Aspirant/Gorehowl synergy.
TL;DR: There are about 25 TGT cards I see on the ladder every day, and another 35 or so that have been seeing enough play that I've run into them on a semi-regular basis. That's almost half the set.
This is an infinitely better expansion than GvG, rather than release ridiculous auto includes like Boom and Shredder which reduce variety, it has released a diverse group of cards that encourage building decks in a different way. Cards that aren't straight up superior than past ones. Expansions like TGT is good for the game to be long lived, expansions like GvG which is mostly major power creep will kill the game fast.
If I had to guess it's not going to be an adventure. That wouldn't make Blizz much money around the holidays. I do however think you will see another set, this time centered around WOTK, and DK's will be added. New Hero's, new hero skins, and new card set equals $$$$$$.
Everyone has asked to have DK's in the game for a long time, and it would shake the Meta up quite a bit, and maybe add a Zombie deck into the game (wishful thinking).
As long as it's not more mindless RNG I want mind what it is. I am tired of playing against luck vs skill.
As a competitive player I have to say that I am disappointed in TGT. Just look at the competitive decks, they may have one or two new cards and that's it. This expansion has been a real failure and Blizzard seem to have made a sloppy work..
isMTGBetter for some people the game is: Tournament and Streaming.
So "the game" is defined by the decks and cards that see play in those events.
He hasn't seen Dragon Priest on steam or in a tournament?
Also forgot Effigy and Living Roots.
There's not only 2 card that see play but is still a really small amount.

not to forget King's Elekk and Bear Trap, that are run in Midrange Hunter with great success ^^
I even see Powershot and Lock and Load from time to time

This thread could be renamed "was TGT a failure?"
I realize the guy who claims that Mysterious Challenger and Darnassus Aspirant are the only new cards in the game is a troll, but if anybody else is curious what new cards I've been seeing in the game (NA, legend last season, rank 6 right now), I'd say:

I've seen a couple people experimenting with Lock and Load and Powershot, but those are very rare; I haven't seen the other new hunter cards at all (except for from Lock and Load and Webspinner).
Mage: Rhonin, Spellslinger, Effigy, Arcane Blast, Polymorph: Boar, and Fallen Hero (roughly descending order of popularity) are all used in variants of tempo mage. I'm actually running Rhonin, Effigy, and Arcane Blast in my mage deck right now. Effigy and Coldarra Drake show up in heavier lists too (grinder-style dragon decks, mostly). I've never seen Dalaran Aspirant or Flame Lance on the ladder.
Paladin: Mysterious Challenger and Competitive Spirit are in basically every variant of the new most-popular paladin archetype. Murloc Knight is in every midrange or control paladin (and some secret paladins, even). Tuskarr Jouster is also common in slower lists. I saw Warhorse Trainer and Seal of Champions a few times early last season, but haven't seen them lately. Saw Eadric the Pure only once, but I think he, Enter the Coliseum, and Argent Lance all have potential in control paladin.
Shaman: Also not common, but the new cards are definitely seeing play. Most new shaman decks seem to fall into either a totem-oriented group, using Totem Golem, Tuskarr Totemic, Thunder Bluff Valiant, or a very heavy control/combo group, using Healing Wave, Ancestral Knowledge, Elemental Destruction, and sometimes Charged Hammer. I've seen The Mistcaller two or three times and have never seen Draenei Totemcarver.
Neutrals: Argent Horserider, Clockwork Knight, Garrison Commander, Twilight Guardian, Kodorider, Nexus-Champion Saraad, Justicar Trueheart, and Chillmaw are all common (most of them are restricted to a limited number of archetypes, though—Twilight Guardian and Chillmaw in dragon priest, Kodorider and Garrison Commander in some control warriors, Clockwork Knight in some mech mages, etc.).
I've also seen Gadgetzan Jouster, Flame Juggler, Refreshment Vendor, Maiden of the Lake, Master Jouster, and Frost Giant a few times each, although these are less common. I haven't seen Gadgetzan Jouster in a while; I think people tried to replace Zombie Chow with her and eventually decided it wouldn't work.
TL;DR: There are about 25 TGT cards I see on the ladder every day, and another 35 or so that have been seeing enough play that I've run into them on a semi-regular basis. That's almost half the set.
It's also important to mention that nobody was playing dragons before Alexstrasza's Champion, Wyrmrest Agent, Twilight Guardian and Chillmaw. Those 4 cards literally gave life to most of the cards in BRM. That has to be worth something.
You are not prepared!

people just want better cards so that they not run out of "this card [....] is OP" threads and something to rage and whine about
