Heroes should have +1 Thorns by default: That is to say that any minion that attacks a Hero should take 1 HP of damage. This fixes most of the problems the game has like brainless face decks, brainless face decks and of course, brainless face decks.
That completely destroys aggro and tempo, which is really quite unhealthy for Hearthstone. Priest and Druid would automatically become tier 1, and all other classes would die out.
Also unnecessarily targets swarm playstyles, such as zoo, and increases the power of spells relative to minions, when spells are already at the limit of uninteractivity.
The game would change to a brainless back-and-forth trade, empowering burn, OTK, and Jade Idol.
I would love to see achievements as well. As WoW and Starcraft have them already (not sure about Diablo) I want to believe it will happen sooner or later
Spells disappear once they are used, it takes a lot to become Legendary, and ah ah ah ah staying alive there once you are summoned is one of them
Could you elaborate on this? I have zero idea what you're trying to say. It's not like perfectly mechanically and thematically appropriate legendary spell concepts are difficult to envision.
The reason why legendary spells wouldn't make sense isn't because of the fact that they're spells, meaning that they could be cast multiple times. The idea of a legendary is that there's only one of it, that's why they're named characters, but with a legendary spell it wouldn't make sense to not be able to put two in your deck. So basically, the problem is that a spell is repeatable, and anyone with the right qualifications and knowledge could learn that spell, but it'd be impossible for you to become a specific character, so there's only one of that character.
Oh, I see the problem. You're thinking of spells as like magical incantations and such. That's the general definition of "spells", but that's not all that spells are in Hearthstone. Spells in Hearthstone have a much broader definition than that, including Items (Explosive Trap, Bouncing Blade, Deadly Poison), Attacks (Snipe, Slam, Bash), Tactics (Gang Up, Feign Death), Events (Brawl, Solemn Vigil), Concepts (Equality, Humility), and More (Lock and Load, Eye for an Eye, Beneath the Grounds). Consider that specific historical events, one-of-a-kind artifacts, and unique cities or other locations can all make for thematically appropriate Legendary Spells in Hearthstone.
Something similar to rune/prophey mechanic that exists in Elder Srolls Legends would have been a nice addition.
Both players begin with 30 HP and with 5 blue Runes around your Avatars. Every time you take 5 points of damage a blue rune breaks and you instantly draw a card for free. This gives players a rally mechanic, allowing them to turn the tide of battle, even if they are being overwhelmed.
Some Cards have the word Prophecy written on them. When a rune breaks and the drawn card has the Prophecy ability, you’ll be able to immediately play it for free. Stack your deck with more Prophecy cards to increase your chances of successfully interrupting your opponent’s turn with a potentially game-changing addition to the play mat.
Additionally some cards have mechanics that benefit from a broken rune, such as an increase to their attack or a health boost to your Avatar. Cards that benefit from rune shattering are typically found in Strength (Red) and Willpower (Yellow) decks.
When you squelch your opponent, emoting will be disabled for the opponent (like when you spam too many emotes). If you are a truly nice guy saying "Well Played" to a good play, this minor tweak won't affect you. However if you are playing one of those aggro decks and intend to end it off by salting your opponent, the realisation that he cannot see your emotes will frustrate you.
Then you may think that opponents can simply BM you by preventing you from emoting while they spam emotes. A simple fix to this is...squelching them back.
Yeah that would make a lot more sense, but there's a problem with that too. It wouldn't be too consistent seeing as how they made Gorehowl and Doomhammer epics and not legendaries. Though I will admit that it would be awesome to have a legendary spell Cataclysm or something like that.
Yeah more updates would be nice. It's like if something is not good right now, it will likely stay that way for the next four months when they add new cards, and same thing is the case if something is too good. Getting like 3-4 cards added every month would be a nice way to add in techs or new cards to shake the meta. Maybe like a Common-Rare-Epic-Legendary.
I answer the same as in all threads when this topic comes up: achievements!
There is nothing more I want to see in this game than achievements. Often I start Hearthstone with the thought "let's go through the quests". Then I see that I got one I am really not motivated to do -> reroll -> another quest which is even worse -> I lose my motivation to play at all for this day. If there would be achievements I would have a goal nomather which quests I got. (becomming legend isn't a funny goal to achieve for me)
I am not talking about achievements which bring huge rewards after completion (may be nice for new player but this isn't the important thing) but a small icon in my achievement menue which shows that I have succeeded would allready be enough. I love card games because I am a collector; I don't like playing the game as much if there is nothing I can "collect", so achievements would be the ultimate improvement in the game for people like me :P.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Who can take your trash out? Stomp it down for you? Shake the plastic bag and do the twisty thingy, too?
I'd like a more tavern-like interface in the various menus. You know, like seeing the inner part of a lively Tavern behind the main menu, some tables with pints in other menus, etc. Live navigating through a real warcraft tavern.
I'd also like some mid-term achievements. Something in between of daily quests and getting a golden hero. With minor, yet not meaningless rewards. Possibly one new card release per achievement? Something like 3-4 new card release between an expansion an the other, that you unlock with the achievements?
An option to swap a card from hand to deck once per turn.

more single player content, like es legends for ex
more periodic updates, every single blizzard game gets updated very frequently adding new stuff , shaking things up , balancing stuff out
but hearthstone for some reason is the same game (outside of new cards) since it launched in alpha with the exception of tavern brawl
My Awesome Decks
a little indicator that shows you how many cards you have in your hand..
a draft mode against friends,

A rework on ladder. The addition of rewards for getting to certain ranks was interesting, but it still feels mehish to climb the ladder every month.
Either that or tournament mode, whatever is easier, I assume it would be the ladder rework.
Have the possibility to do the daily quest with friends.
As it is now, it is as anti-social as it can be…

I want the ability to unsquelch yourself after your opponent squelches you.
