posted a message on Six Card Nerfs Coming - Naga Sea Witch, Spiteful Summoner, and More!

I actually feel sorry for people who enjoy playing quest rogue (I'm not included). This card was nerfed twice before it even left standard... hell, it's still going to take a while for that to happen.

Press F to pay respect. :LMAOemoji:

    "Expect bugs"

That goes without saying. I still can't get over the fact the ancient bug that causes the mana crystals on the bottom left of the board to incorrectly display your remaining mana, which happens more often when you ramp or overload, is still a thing.

posted a message on Nerf Paladin

The real problem is Divine Favor. It has always been a problem, whenever aggro paladin takes over the meta, it's because divine favor allows for crazy refuels against control... it can't be played around because as a control player you typically are running a slower curve and it's impossible to dump your hand by turn 5/6.

I love paladin, but divine favor was and will be a cancer for as long as it exists as is.

Someone has sand in their vagina.

It's a nerf buddy, get over it. If a card did something and it's changed so that it can't do as much as it could, that's exactly what a nerf is. "But muh 50 battlecries deck argument" - read the last line again.

    --

Honestly I'm surprised they were stupid enough to release the card as they did. 10 minutes of testing it would reveal that it could be abused to make turns last 5 minutes. They obviously knew that was going to happen, and yet they released it like that. I can't understand why they would allow it... but I guess you can't really read people who think more deck slots would be too confusing.

So this forum is basically going to lose every Chinese player? Don't know how many there are, but this certainly doesn't look good.

If you're starting off with the crafting game, don't aim for control cards. Control decks typically require lots of legendaries and epics.

Corpsetaker is ok in midrange, not only in control, but it requires you to have tirion and hopefully fizzlebang to really make it work. Either way the card isn't even that good compared to others.

Hydra is a good option for your midrange hunter, as well as other aggressive/midrange decks.

    Dynomancy is TERRIBLE.

Warleader got nerfed recently, all the murloc pally decks disappeared, so probably not a strong of a deck anymore.

I have tirion but no burnbistle. hydra is a good option for for my druid/hunter/maybe warlock, but perhaps unsuited for paladin? I wanted corpsetaker because I've been trying to make a windfury deck.
You can go for a windfury deck, but I just want to make it clear it will be a meme deck, there are basically no good windfury cards. Notable exception of Whirling Zap-o-matic, but that by itself does not justify corpsetaker for the sake of windfury alone. The only deck where corpsetaker really takes advantage of the natural deck is on a paladin midrange/control, because you'd be playing tirion anyways, and potentially other divine shield/taunt minions, as well as potentially burnbristle. Never seen too much of corpsetaker outside of that.

Hydra would work fine in any aggro/tempo/midrange deck, even if only being used as a filler card until you get one that suits that specific deck better. I just wouldn't use it in a warlock deck because you already lose some life using your hero power.

posted a message on A very interesting weapon concept

I honestly have no idea why you'd think this is interesting. It's not even hinting balance, there's no clear use for it... if it'd say "immune while attacking" this would be insanely more interesting, and would definitively need a cost increase. But at least it'd make some sense... you can't hit face, you don't really want to kill minions using it, but you want to hit minions with it. It'd probably be too strong regardless of the mana cost and the "don't kill" restriction at this point anyway.

What about "phantom dagger" or some shit like that. Your hero ignores taunt as long as the weapon is equipped. Far more interesting concept, imo.

posted a message on Newbie at hearthstone (need advice)

If you're averaging 2-3 wins in arena you shouldn't invest more on it until you get your game to a higher level. Kripparian is a good arena player, you can watch his stream or youtube channel and learn from it.

You should be careful with what you disenchant. Try to avoid it as much as possible because you never know when a mediocre card will find a home in a good deck. If you really need the dust to be able to start playing with a near-complete version of a deck, dust only what you need and try to only dust terrible cards. Golden version give you extra dust, so in order to keep your collection growing it's reasonable to dust them until you're no longer short on dust.

It will probably be worth it to buy the expansion, but probably wait until they release all the spoilers.

Do you like Dragons? If yes, then BRM is still worth it. Yeah there are other cards in there, but the meat of it is Dragons. If you only want Emperor Thaurissan, or Grim Patron, save yourself the money and craft them piecemeal.

I bought BRM like a month ago, and it was absolutely worth the purchase. As a lover of Dragon decks, it was right up my alley.

Don't forget Brann Bronzebeard, the card is very much worth it to have, maybe even more than Thaurissan, and possibly almost as fun xD
You mean Brann the League of Explorers card? :P
Holy **** he wasn't from BRM, that's right. I'm getting old, all those wild adventures are clustering in my memory hahaha

That's pretty interesting. Maybe you're pushing it a little with the KoTFT "bringing the lich king back into the spotlight", but I guess there are enough undead being unearthed to support that line anyways.

I guess I'll watch out for what the next standard year is called more closely next time :)
