To be honest, hearthstone was ruined long before that, by too much random and orientation towards small children
Sooo are you a small child playing Heartstone? If not, you are playing a game geared for small children and should rethink your life choices.
I do some quests or play an occasional arena when I have nothing else to do (say in the public transport) so there's no "life choices" involved. Sooo if you are sooo serious about some pixel card game for small children, maybe it's you who should rethink your life choices, mmkay.
Of course it wouldn't, but if you press that play button and leave it running, the opponent will either wait 90 seconds then quickly smorc you down, or concede in case he doesn't want to wait, which is kinda win/win in terms of "playing x games with class y"
On the bright side of it, with these new quests, fresh from teh graet Bobby Kotick, you don't even need to play, just press that round button and go away. Repeat 3 times and get 60 shiny pixel gold, hehe.
Talking about something like hearthstone dying based on twotch views is kinda bold.
Assuming say half of claimed player base is real (not retired/twink accounts/bots etc.), it'll take a while for it to dissipate, that's not taking into account the fact that if even the game is shit, there's plenty of those who will still like the taste no matter what.
I would like to join in the boycott but the problem is: there are no viable alternatives to HS as digital CCG. Magic arena sucks because of the broken shuffler and unfair matchmaking. They literally match you with decks that are of equal rarity-level meaning boring mirror matches over and over.
Shadowverse has the most subversive business practice I have ever seen. The game is so broken on steam you can literally wipe your account and not qualify for a refund. That is right, the game has a bug which allows the player to accidentally delete his own account. Not sure what they are doing is legal. Grossly unethical.
Hex is a joke. A laughing-stock of the industry. Is this game even alive?
All other games such as Elder Scrolls and Eternal are pretty generic.
Umm, may I ask what is so "non-generic" about hearthstone - crappy mobile client with its clunky menus, childish color diarrhea of the latest sets, overpowered cards, the lack of proper graveyard mechanics or maybe his majesty Random?
All this people saying they will boycott Blizzard, but they will continue to use their phones, laptops, desktops and every other electronic device, shoes, etc. ALL of which were built in China or use Chinese parts and puts money directly in the pockets of the Chinese government shows people don't really care what China does as long as they get their stuff for cheap and everything else is just flavor of the month fake outrage.
What other options are there beside Chinese-made versions of those goods?
Well, by using second-hand devices/clothing/whatever else from now on you won't be paying china anything, technically. So it's a way of sorts.
Suddenly so much drama. Even in "democratic" countries some person being too loud on some "unethical" topics eventually get democratized, cause spherical democracy in a vacuum is an illusion, same as "communist threat" somebody mentioned here.
Umm, just in case, I'm not a fan of activision/blizzard for quite a long time.

Nope. Used to buy pre-orders for quite a while, but this game in its current state ain't worth paying for.

You most likely should ask Actiblizzord's support about that, on official forums.

It's hearthstone, mmkay. No need to go all "balance" about it.

Well, probably OP has a revelation of sorts, but bobbystone is far from dying, just stop taking it seriously, mmkay.
Still fine to play a couple games on toilet or in public transport, just don't expect it to be sophisticated in any way, it isn't.

I have no emotions while playing bobbystone.
