Okay, so Bonemare is just so stupid and should have never been printed. For 7 mana you basically get a 5/5 body and a 4/4 charge. If you don't clear your opponent's board by the turn 7 you get extremely punished. This card is an absolute nightmare for any control decks and a reason why meta sucks so bad right now. The decks lack diversity and noone really plays control decks now since that ridiculous card can almost single handedly win games against slow decks. How many times have you felt you've had a decent advantage over your opponent and then they would just play Bonemare and boom you've had to deal with two large bodies and the tables turn cuz of one stupid card. Not to mention that this card played on curve on arena is almost always a win. Seriously, it needs to be changed cuz the power level is WAY too high for a common card. It's also so dumb that a common card is way better than a LEGENDARY that does similar thing - Don Han'Cho. Just disgusting

This card + Cobalt Scalebane are staples in almost every deck at this point. (Save for Priest.)
I play a Buffadin deck and I confess, I use them too. Add in Prince Keleseth and it's the perfect storm.
I am curious to see if anything in the next expansion counters these cards or card mechanics. Not sure how. Could you have a card that says, "Battlecry: Reduce each minion in your opponent's deck by 1/1"?
I don't disagree that it's an overpowered card, but please refrain from making the argument that it's bad because it's a common card. It's not like if it was epic you'd see it any less in the meta past rank 18.
The main problem is that it's a late-game card for aggro. Generally control is fighting against aggro/tempo for the first 6-8 turns, at which point they lose, or they stabilize and win on card advantage the rest way. Bonemare gives aggro/tempo a late-game tool to push more damage and put up two beefy 5+ health minions that are pretty much impossible to take out both. It gives aggro/tempo a new tool that puts out big health minions as well as pushing damage to face, and also with the taunt, preventing the opponent from making advantageous trades, all in one card which means they don't lose steam.

I assume the common rarity point relates to arena specifically in which case it will show up a lot more than if it were epic. And of course it were legendary then you could only have one.
Not saying I necessarily agree with OP but the rarity point is relevant.
I aggree that bonemare is kinda unbalanced for the stat difference it creates (and being common). Yes, we need strong common cards but I think it should have either less body or buff less. Scalebane is also quite on the same route. I think its even worse. It snowballs SO HARD that most of the time it becomes impossible to stop that for most decks. Its like a fldegling but without even attacking.
Nah. No one plays control decks because they get completely demolished by Jade Druid and priest, neither of which even run bonemare. Bonemare’s a great card because it pretty much single handedly revitalized midrange decks again. The new style of aggro decks aren’t just dump your entire hand and either win or get cleaned by 1 solid board clear anymore, they are slower early game but have more resiliency and staying power. Which is completely necessary to stand any chance against priest and Jade Druid right now. Without bonemare control decks still wouldn’t exist, they would just be more raza priest and jades.
I use Bonemare a lot in my decks and every time I play against an aggro deck and I get Bonemare on their possible lethal, I kinda feel bad (unless you are a pirate warrior then I'm not). I can see the argument of it being overpowered. Some possible nerfs I made up after reading this thread:
1. Increase mana cost to 8 or 9
2. Battlecry: give a minion 2-2 with the choice of Taunt, Lifesteal, Divine Shield, or Stealth
3. Lower Bonemare's stats to 4-4 or 3-3
Now if this were a discussion on Don-Han-Cho being buffed, a legendary that the person who made this thread pointed out, then it would make the meta a little worse as we would finally see the Buffadin Murloc Paladin that Blizzard promised us in Gadgetzan. That's my opinion on this but we will see how this fairs out.

Agreed with most of this except "Slower early game" - this has not been my experience. Essentially if you don't have a solid board clear by turn 4, you are often facing 6 minions by that turn. I have had many games where my opponent had 6-7 minions before my turn 4...which is not at all slow. The game pace has definitely picked up and with good ol princy in there, it snowballs quickly.

If you hate Bonemare, you must have really hated Dr Boom! If it was a legendary, people probably wouldn't bat an eyelid too much and if you're playing tempo you probably won't play two in a game, plus it does have pre-requisits. Two of the three tier 1 decks don't even run this card, I'm not convinced it is that astoundingly broken, just a very strong card, and you know what? That's okay.
Imo it is one of those cards that looks better than it actually is. Ultimate Infestation looks absolutely insane but it actually isn't, it's just the fact that you can play it on turn 5-7, and any 10 mana card is devastating then. In fact, I don't think any other class in the game would run UI, not even Raza Priest since your hand will be more than 5 cards each time.
At the moment there is a very good balance between control decks, midrange decks, aggro decks and combo decks. The balance is really good, just some cards are more powerful than others, and that's how it should be, we aren't playing chess, a game where you have no dice rolls and you follow your own path. This is a card game, so expect there to be some strong cards and some weak cards, that's just basic principles of a TCG.
One thing I will also note, tempo/midrange decks would probably not be anywhere near viable WITHOUT Bonemare, and that is a not a meta I would like to be part of. As I said before, there's a good balance of every sort of deck. Each class is viable with multiple archetypes.

No, control is rare because removal is sorely underpowered as a result of the grossly overpowered midrange minions that now exist.

I agree with you but I don't understand Dr. Boom's involvement in this. Yes, both are good in tempo and control and both are very strong but I still don't understand it's involvement... explanation pls xD
it's a strong common card that enables really good tempo plays. You are only ever punished by it if you play incorrectly so I feel the card is just fine. It just requires thought to play around!

I don't hate Bonemare, because I have two Bonemares. I can use them, too!
When I started playing in late '16, I hated Dr. 7 because I didn't have him. Is it turn 7? There's their Dr. Boom. Hope I saved a Fireball with my budget Mage deck at rank 19. I wasn't spending money on packs, and it took me forever to scrape up the dust to craft Dr. Boom. It was a huge sigh of relief when I got him, finally. After that, I was like, yeah, f2p's eat some Boom Botgoodness!!!!!!
Bonemare is a one-of in all my mid-range-ish decks now. It feels good to ride the bone, you know?
Summary: Bonemare is fair because they are common.

Then tell me why not viable archetypes exist like , jade deathrattle rouge, enrage warrior, secret hunter. Dust trap for the naiv beleivers like myself. Blizard should stop creating cards that are weak or maintain globaé balance.

I really wish this was more the case than it is. My favorite archetype, and the one that is best for the game, is midrange. Since jade shaman in gadgetzan, there hasnt been a real strong midrange deck, only aggro or control masquerading as it. The closest thing we have to midrange right now is midrange hunter, which is truly an aggro deck. In ungoro, the closest comparison was probably taunt warrior. I think that rag was too big of a hit to the midrange archetype, and decks have gotten so powerful that everything is squeezed to the extremes; midrange has cut all of the late game to be faster, and control has become so broken that classic control is almost virtually non-existent, maybe with the exception of control warlock. Priest is a combo deck, and jade druid is extremely far from classic control.
Essentially, midrange actually sucks right now, and the only midrange minions that are any good is bonemare. The Lich King should have been strong enough to be the curve topper for midrange decks, but the entire midrange archetype was overthrown by the much faster aggro and the fact that the 'favored matchup', control, is no longer even favored.

Agreed, and Scalebane would be okay if it didn't have the dragon tribe. The fact that it survives a Dragonfire Potion is incredibly frustrating.

It's bone or be boned in this meta. Better make sure you're the first to do the boning.
Yeah! I never see control! Except for Big Druid...or Big Priest...or Razakus...or ....
