posted a message on Looks like Hearthstone is officially done with Warcraft

Cthun, even in an alternative form doesnt count?

Also i am PRETTY sure that the wow TCG had plenty of characters that didn't exist in the lore before. And talking about lore... why so you even care so much? In a game where you literally play horde and alliance characters on the same side... or you as a "priest" are able to cast spells that are not from priest at all... or that you can polymorph an old god... why is your concern now a thing? Just enjoy the game.

Tbh I couldnt care less if the current expansion has few or no old characters. We had quite some of them in the latest exp anyways

This should be obvious, you can't play a minion on a full board, magnetic is a keyword used on minions only = therfore you can't play magnetic minions on a full board, shouldn't even be a question

Why shouldn't it be a question? When the magnetic minion is played on the left side of a mech, it is no longer a minion, it's a buff on an existing minion already on board, so realistically speaking you're not 'gaining' extra board space.

I'm glad you think it's obvious but I think it's a valid discussion

I think he means it kinda "needs" to be a minion first, therefore not able to play it ina full board

posted a message on Increasing use of The Wussy Move

You can use he concede button at any time. This is not a player issue but a blizzard one. If blizzard designed the game without a concede button then fine. But it isnt. This shouldnt be an issue for anyone. Is not like "honor" or whatever quality is required to play hearhstone.

I dont think this is not good sportmanship. In Magic e.g you can concede at any time if you see your opponent combo is about to go off or you are about to draw an empty library or about to die to combat or any trigger. People usually concede to this and their opponents dont complain in any way so... xD

Also with the amount of time people usually take when doing their "combos" or even atracking thank god there is a concede button.

posted a message on Activision-Blizzard has gone too far with the Mega Bundle

I dont see the issue here. You either like the hero and buy the mega pack or you dont. If you say things like "its behind a paywall". Like many other hero skins you mean? Or preorder cardbacks? Why is this different now? Its basically blizzard decision how we get many things, specially aesthetic ones. People that dont spend money on this wont even pay for the regular bundle anyways.

    1-you play murmuring elemental

2-you play electra, eating murmuring elemental battlecry and generating "your next spell is cast twice" twice, which by own murmuring elemental's rules is redudant so it will add nothing.

3-you play a spell that is cast twice but that also spends the other trigger from murmuring elemental. This trigger will not wait for you to play a second spell so it triggers twice as well.

posted a message on MTG Arena and HS

    Quote from Raemahn >>

    Quote from EquinoxHS >>

MTG is a very different game from Hearthstone - Paper MTG costs hundreds of dollars, but idk about MTG Arena.  However, yes, it is easy to get into, but very hard to master.  Even the aggro decks require a decent amount of skill - you can't just "go face" as easily.  I'd recommend watching gameplay of it to get the hang of it, and see if you'd be interested.

Agreed. I haven't played M:tG since 199...? and I certainly haven't played the technology enhanced version. It has been a long time, so take my perspective with a (very large) grain of salt.
From my experience, M:tG has always been fairly expensive. Not only do their physical cards fetch a high price, but they cycle their "Standard" list every three releases, and I think it is based on the most recent three releases, so once the fourth release comes out then the first release is retired to "Wild." While they do maintain a "Classic" set, it also changes over time (just not as frequently as the Standard list). This adds to a fairly vibrant meta, but when I was playing there were typically only 2-3 decks ever being played whereas HS seems to have more variety. (Probably due to 9 heroes vs. 5 colors.) You should also be aware that M:tG has 60-card decks with up to four of any given card in it, so that also drives costs up. (I am uncertain if they have a "Legendary" equivalent, so you could get very expensive very fast for very desirable cards.)
Is M:tG less RNG oriented than HS? Based on history, I would say "yes", although it's possible they've adapted to the technology. In my mind, HS is very RNG oriented because the technology permits this type of play whereas physical card games do not. You cannot (easily) do most of the RNG stuff HS does with a physical card game.
Regarding complexity, I would say that M:tG is more involved, especially if they still have the "Stack" (the ability to interrupt the other player's turn by playing a card from your hand). With technology, this would be easier to ensure proper interactions and less confusion arises, but it does add a level of complexity and it would require the technology to stop a player's turn regularly to ask if you want to play a card from your hand.
One frustration with M:tG is having to fill your deck with mana-generating cards ("Lands") that you have to draw to put into play, whereas HS grants one guaranteed mana every turn and you don't have to clutter up your deck with them nor do you have to have a specific type of mana to play a card like M:tG does. This means M:tG decks typically have 1/3 of their makeup in mana generators. If you draw too many then you don't have anything to play, and if you don't draw enough then you can't play anything. Nothing funner than getting mana screwed.
Another difference is M:tG doesn't have heroes with specific powers. The entire game revolves around what you draw, so if you can't do anything from your hand during a turn and you don't have a field then you are out of luck.
I'd be interested in seeing what other people have experienced from the game more recently, but that is my experience, for what it's worth.
Good luck in making your decision.

This. Exactly what I would say

Blizzard didnt put the gold límit because of greed. At least not only because of that. Bots farming gold was a serious thing (they still exist) and they improved a lot, to the point that some people cannot tell the difference.

Yes, they are many odd paladins. But there are plenty of even palas as well. I dont know what rank are you now but I also see plenty of cube/control locks, spiteful druids/priests and hadronox druids too. Even big mages.

Mhhh... some of you never worked for a company it seems.

When you get fired, specially for big companies, many times you don't leave right away. You usually stay a couple of days or weeks before leaving, completing what you were doing. Also, the company usually says that you should not mention anybody that (probably mentioned in the contract).

So, opposite to what many may believe, this is probably not sudden at all and both Brode and Chu knew this way before.

posted a message on The End of Hearthstone?

Remember when chris metzen left Blizzard and Wow kept going normally (and legion being a really popular expansion)? Or when when rob pardo left and wow is still a thing?

Well this is the same. Blizzard wants to sell games and trust me they will not hire random people. Specially if the people leaving were in the interview (like brode)

And this is nothing sudden. They probably knew they would leave blizzard some time ago and they are annoucing it right now.

So yeah this isn't the end at all.
