I like the new changes, game designers shouldn't focus on sexual aspects

Generally I agree, but it's not like the new pictures aren't sexy.  The characters are wearing bikini-top armor that exposes their upper chest and entire stomach.  The new standards aren't that different from the old standards, and the new standards aren't particularly modest.

But it's totally fine when it's shirtless men in loincloth and hot shirtless elf men?
Suddenly people don't even mention it altogether and there's no need for censorship?
But when it's women then all of the sudden AMAGAD CENSOR AMAGAD SO SEXUAL!?

My point isn't that the new pictures aren't modest enough*.  My point is that the pictures have been changed to meet the "different" standards of immodesty, and those standards are very likely those of the Chinese Communist Party.

*That said, I'm all for modest dress, and I think that it's ridiculous when *every* female character must have an exposed midriff.  I also don't know where all these shirtless, loin-cloth clad elf men are in this fantasy game that you've mentioned.  I'm a gay man, and I certainly would notice.  There are some ugly, over-the-topped muscled male characters with purple, orange, or green skin, but no actually attractive guys in revealing outfits.

posted a message on From the deep of my heart, please blizzard, do something about Warrior

I am happiest with Hearthstone when Warrior is in the gutter.

Control Warrior metas are the worst.  Shamanstone was made worse because Control Warrior was one of the only other viable decks.  Last month I was trying to level up with Rogue, and I simply conceded as soon as I saw that Warrior was my opponent.  Yesterday I won my first game against a Control Warrior while playing Token Druid.  I won because he drew poorly (and played poorly tbh).

The only consolation is that not everyone is playing Warrior right now.

She cast a spell during the confrontation with Rafaam in the League of Explorers adventure.  Aluth Alorray! or something.

Did that spell tell what her class was?  I forgot the context - was she trying to undo Rafaam animating the museum exhibits?

Wait wut? How is Headcrack being changed, but cards like Shadow Word: Pain and Shadow Word: Death can remain just as dark & demonic as they are...? Because they're shadow words...? They actually don't exist or...?

If you look closely, you'll see that Headcrack shows spurts of blood.  They are editing the pictures that depict spurting blood.  Personally, I could never tell what the picture was because it was so dark.

Additionally, the victim in the card is a skeleton, and skeletons cannot be depicted in China.

As for the changes in the sexy pictures: the only one I had a problem with previously was Secretkeeper.  Her pose was deliberately sexual in a "come-and-get-it" way.  The other ones were just standing around with their hot selves.  The new pictures also show skin, just with more particular (i.e., more communistic) standards being applied.  Midriffs are A-OK, apparently.

    1. Take it to the Salt Thread.

    2. The comparison between Ben Brode leaving, and the state of the game decaying, is a fallacy. Truth is, as much as 'old-school' players want to deny it, Ben left the game in a horrible state, and T5 was left to pick up the pieces and make the game semi-playable again. Yes, he was a great personality for the game, and yes, he did some great things (I will always be grateful for Whispers of the Old Gods), but he botched the last year he worked for HS. Hero Cards were an insanely bad idea, and Kobolds warped the meta for all other expansions to come.

    3. You get matched against PRIESTS on ladder? What? Did you even play in the last year?

    4. Bye. You will not be missed.

shit assholes like this one made this game worse...so sad Brode left the game, but he's in a better spot. The ones taking care of this abomination are the real ones fucked...

I don't know if Ben Brode was personally to blame for Hearthstone's previous problems, but the game has definitely improved since he left.

The latest expansions have had reasonable power levels.  The game managers have finally committed to actively managing the game through timely nerfs, buffs, and single card releases.  I can't say every single decision has been perfect, but it is obvious they are trying to keep the game dynamic without resorting to power creep.

posted a message on New Warlock Card - Siegebreaker

It's a Demon without a drawback.  It isn't terrible, and can go in some fun decks, especially if you have the "Play 20 Demons" quest.  I'm not sure you'd play this over Aranasi Broodmother in Standard; maybe I'm wrong.

    Utter garbage.

Who will ever play this?  You would need to get at least 7 points of stats and/or abilities to break even.  (I say that 7/8 for 7 mana is *barely* breaking even.)  I haven't done the math, but there are are far more small Beasts in comparison to big Beasts, so that the risk is never worthwhile.

posted a message on ARENA BROKEN

Since I am not a genius, I have to play many games in each new Arena meta before getting a good success rate, which for me is around 4.7.

I know you think that you are entitled to be good at Arena, but you might have to put in some PRACTICE.  Doing RESEARCH by reading comments from serious players also helps, like in the Arena sub-Reddit page.  Unfortunately, practice games are expensive.

Last night I broke 7 wins for the first time in this meta.  It was about my 10th game in the meta so far.  I broke down and used HearthArena since I admitted to myself that I wasn't smart enough or experienced enough yet to properly value cards in this meta.

"Ohhhh noooo I have to click two extra times and delay getting into a game by 9 seconds woe is me"

It's a bug and will be fixed. No wonder this website is going under. Bunch of whiney pansies.

If there's any reason the site is going down, it's because of thought police like you.  Ever single thread that has anything remotely negative to say at all has someone like you trying to shut it down and insulting others.

If people can't use a forum to express a complaint or concern, what the heck is the forum for?  Why do people like you insist on policing the content of this site?  What types of "non-pansy" subjects are acceptable to discuss, according to you?  Why not just ignore a thread you don't like, and let it die out on its own?

Are you so bored and uncreative that instead of creating your own discussions, you just spend your time finding other discussions to criticize?

posted a message on Is there a point for spending gold at Dalaran for a F2P player?

There's already a thread about this.  The OP of that thread did the analysis and determined that it is significantly better to buy the adventure with real money rather than gold.

That said, I am using gold to purchase it on my $5-to-pay account, since I've made a firm to decision to not spend more than $5.  I want the card back, Zayle, and the golden pack so that my account is as "complete" as it can be.  If you absolutely don't want to spend money, you should buy it with gold just to get the optional content.

posted a message on I miss wild

There are so many aggro decks in Wild now that Big Priests are much scarcer.

If you're not playing aggro and you find a Big Priest, then yes, you'll probably lose.  You are playing against the Priest's draw.  Barnes on Turn 4 is normally an auto-loss.  Concede and move on.  Archmage Vargoth on Turn 4 is likewise usually an auto-lose.  Sometimes the Priest doesn't draw any of his cheating cards, which means you have a chance.

posted a message on Avengers needs 90M to beat Avatar

I think movies are much more available online than they were when Avatar came out.  Avengers was pirated early, and everyone knows that if you wait a little while it'll be available on different streaming services.  When Avatar came out, you had to wait for the blue-ray.

Also, Avatar was unique, while Endgame is another super-hero movie.

Possible reasons why the box office performance will be worse.

posted a message on When do you rope an opponent?
    Quote from Echtvad >>

I sometimes rope people when they take so much time on their turn that they get to the rope. I would hate playing in the tournaments cause people use almost their whole turn looking at the screen. Lifecoach was the worst of them all. Hearthstone isn't rocket science so lets reduce turn time to 1min already.

    Couldn't agree more.

It's so funny when people jump to the defense of people who take a minute-and-half to spend 2 mana.

It was brilliant that Blizzard shortened the time for the first round, but they should consider some kind of sliding scale based on mana available.
