Must have in mill rogue : having more cards in the deck allows to run a little more one sided card draw like azur drakes -> more consistent murloc draw. Curator + this = better mill rogue. However as we all know the meta atm is FACE IS THE PLACE which is horrible for mill rogue because everybody and their mother know that valeera is a punching ball :s
Not sure yet I want this in Mill rogue, I'll try it but I'm 100% convinced I'll scream my head off after the third time I draw a Wilfried instead of a much needed Eviscerate/Shadowstrike/FoK. If there is ONE deck which is not allowed to have a single turn without an answer, it's Mill.
I don't know. I think I'd be pretty excited to get Wilfred Fizzlebang from Prince Malchezaar while playing mill rogue, considering you can only get neutral cards and cards from your class.
So this card is next to unplayable if you're actually trying to climb ladder. Don't get me wrong, my favorite decks are all rng circuses but even I think this card is bad.
Topdecking sylvanas when you need an answer in bad.
OMFG SYLVANAS UNPLAYABLE !!!
:)
/brain
That isn't an answer it's a 6 mana 5/5 which in this case wasn't even intentionally put into your deck. It might be good in some best case scenarios, but as any cg player knows you need answers for when you're behind, because if you're winning it doesn't matter. Granted it's one of the better legendary cards, it's one of what, 100 cards you might see?
I want this card to be good, I'll even play it in some silly decks but again, for ladder purposes you're gonna get punished for inconsistency.
What are you talking about man ?
You said Malchezaar is unplayable because you would lose the game if you draw one of the 5 legs instead of an "answer".
I then said Sylvanas was unplayable because you would lose the game if you draw her instead of an answer. This is to show you that your argument is ridiculous, because Sylvanas is one of the best cards in the game and yet it's not a topdeck "answer".
I never talked about Malchezaar generating a Sylvanas or something.
You are comparing a card that has one of the strongest effects in the game with what essentially is a vanilla minion. Not quite the same. In literally every tcg having more than the minimum cards in your deck is bad news, because it makes your deck inconsistent. No different in hearthstone. Malchazar is a bad card.
"In literally every tcg having more than the minimum cards in your deck is bad news, because it makes your deck inconsistent."
Nice troll. Play midrange or control some day, little aggro tard. Only aggro and combo decks want minimum cards. Midrange and control want more cards. I don't care about other tcg.
I pretty much exclusively play control and combo. You are still wrong. Draw consistency is key in every archetype not just aggro in combo. You are probably confusing cycling with draw consistency.
I tried him in a Renolock deck. I played Barnes into Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, into Alexstrasza. Not too shabby, but not enough to make up for some of the other plays I've received.
This card is great. For most people it may suck, but for mill rogue or any other fatigue deck, it's amazing. Probably will go ahead and craft a golden one because this will be a must include in fatigue from here on out and that's my favorite archetype. This card also has super strong synergy with Curator, drawing dragons, beasts and sometimes an unexpected murloc.
This card is meta defining in Wild Renolock, simply put. It makes Renolock top 3 strongest deck in the game. Play a defensive/ healer/ C'thun variant. Control is easy win and Aggro if you get your aoe / Doomsayer is also easy.
No weak match-up, Malchezaar allows Renolock to destroy absolutely every control match-up.

Warlock is now the ultimate control class.
This is because you can tap for cards more freely?
Malchezaar is trash....Can't believe people are still going on about it with this false belief. It hurts deck refinement....In Arena completely different story since your running Hienz 52 trash anyway...It's more likely a big improvement and you normally don't have greatest of answers anyway. In Constructed this isn't the case. In fact it does the exact opposite what it does in Arena.
No, this is because there are more anti-aggro tools in Wild, so in consequence control late game decks are stronger, and because Reno is a counter to control decks, having 35 cards is a huge bonus in turn 20++ because you can always keep 10 cards in hand for optimal play with much less fear of early fatigue (5 turns earlier is a lot).

Jaraxxas already hands you control warrior and priest matchups on a silver platter and it makes you less consistent against n'zoth priest.
After playing with this card for a little while, i dont see what the problem is, Ive been about to play a normal game almost all the time. I got Rend against someone playing Cthun and it saved my ass.

A lot of games you probably wont notice anything, butthats the same with changing a card or two in any deck. You can probably also win with silverback patriarch in a control warrior at a similar rate. It might even help you win a game that you would otherwise lose by giving you a taunt that gave you the turn to draw brawl. But in the long run your rate will go down. I used the same kind of justification to use raging worgen in a tempo mage a while back (before spellslinger was printed).

He really hurt your deck if you play aggro or combo, for midrange or control is a normal card can possible win the game for you if become a fatigue match.
I don't put him in a midrange deck but always in a control one.

I play a fatigue Warlock and this puts it way over the top. The amount of board clears that the class has is insane. Small, medium and large, Warlocks are spoiled for choice. Draw into your answers and then change your hero power to armor or healing, and the sustain is unbelievable.
What I like about PM is he allows fatigue-centric decks to be built with synergy and removal as the focus, then he adds minions on top. Usually at least 3 bombs that your opponent will have to remove. So far I have tried him in mill Rogue, Fatigue Warrior and Fatigue Druid and he's been great in each case. At least for me, 35 card decks are here to stay.
Loving this card right now, fits well in a DragonLock (look out for its release:D ) deck I'm testing out. I tried it in Reno and the very first time not only did I get trash legendaries but I never found Reno so that a bad taste in my mouth. I decided it probably fit well in Druid and I'm sure it does but I couldn't make a good list (I'll try Lat.er). Right now though I am having so much fun with it along with the new "discover a Legendary Dragon" minion lol. I have gotten to use Reno three times while getting it off of Pronce. I have gotten a rag which was nice. Got Hogger a few times for protection. Against a Rogue I got Soggoth and he won me the game.. Sometimes I get MAJORDOMO or the beast which feel like dead draws and they lose me games. This card obviously has its upsides and its downsides, some games you wont even see the Legendaries. It's definetly a gamble running this card in any deck, but I must say it is very fun, I've had few laughs as a result of it.
Honestly having ton of fun in Reno-Dragon deck. Every match he gave me something useful and my opponent had no way to deal with all the legendary cards.

Can you get other classes legendaries from Malchezaar?
Pretty cool in Renolock, not so much in other classes.
Release the Kraken!
A glorious bundle of salt.

Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"

Absolutely love this card! Gives those people without many legendaries something to cherish. Not to mention the 5 extra cards you get in general.
Wish it could give you legendaries from other classes though.

So far:
2x Justicar Trueheart
2x King Mukla
2x Mukla, Tyrant of the Vale
Chillmaw
Gruul
Onyxia
Shifter Zerus
In Wild:
Gazlowe
Mogor the Ogre
Mimiron's Head
Elite Tauren Chieftain
His body ain't bad either. 5 mana, 5/6.

The classic tier: Reno Jackson | Elise Starseeker | Brann Bronzebeard.
