Deathrattle effects of minions destroyed by Cataclysm trigger after the hand is discarded. Playing Cataclysm with a Voidcaller in play and a demon in hand will result in the demon being discarded, not summoned from Voidcaller's deathrattle.
I was thinking something similar, but! If you look at the wording on Cataclysm, it says destroy all minions, then discard your hand. So Mecha'thun dies before your hand is empty so i don't think this would work, sadly.

Evenlock might make use of it. Stuff like poly hex and silence is often used on lich king mountain giants and buffed hooked reavers. Meaning if u cant win per normal way u save mecha cthun and cataclysm for last. Since u draw ur deck fast enough u easily reach fatigue. Play cthun if the board is favorable it means it might live and next turn use cataclysm.

The problem is that by playing this combo Wild Evenlock (aka Handlock basically) weakens itself. What cards do you cut for this? It needs deck to be build around this combo to make it reliable win condition
Can someone link to the stream, where this combo is played on the board with Sylvanas Windrunner in play and a sticky minion on the opponents side followed by a scream of sorrow and concede?

The goal is basically to hit the fatique for your Mecha'thun to work.
Emperor Thaurissan needs to discount Mecha'thun and Bloodbloom.
The final combo looks like this:
No cards in deck+ Discounted Mecha'thun+Discounted Bloodbloom into Cataclysm into= GG
Does Cataclysm work properly tho? Yes it does

Upvoted! :)
Yeah, i believe something like that will work. Except i don't know what's gnomeferatu doing there?
Solid 2 drop against board contesting decks and sometimes straight fuck you to your opponents Hero card, combo piece or N'Zoth, Reno Jackson and such.

Why not mill druid tho? Togg into Mecha'thun + Coin + Naturalize seems like a more reasonable combo
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You need to have EMPTY BOARD and HAND, not only deck. Cataclysm much easier way to do it, beleive me.
Made a first draft of a druid OTK. Doesn't seem that hard to do tbh, and with some refining could be viable.

Seems good
We can't. Not until 7th August for sure xD

Can you explain the combo please? How do you hit the fatique, how do you kill the C'Thun and how do you empty your hand and board?
