Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Meta Decks - Wild Edition
For our feature this day we decided to look at some of the most successful Wild decks in the current meta. As usual, these are not the only decks that are successful, nor the only classes to have successful decks, but these are the cream of the crop. Enjoy!
PRIEST
Priest is dominating Wild, both in quality and quantity. You do have some choices with the class though, because both Big Priest and Raza Priest are very good, so pick what you prefer and climb that ladder.

DRUID
Aggro Druid has been doing very well in Wild, even with the nerf to Voracious Reader. If you want to go fast, this is the deck for you.

WARLOCK
Few things in Hearthstone have been as consistently present in the meta game as Reno Warlock has been. There's always some small adjustments that get made to use new successful cards, but the core of the deck always does well, regardless of those changes.

MAGE
Mage, like Priest, has choices to make when it comes to Wild decks. You can choose the more aggressive Secret Mage, or the control style Reno Mage. Both will do well, so choose which variant you like (or have the cards for).

PALADIN
Paladin saw a return to mainstream of their Odd-Paladin archetype, mostly based on their new card Lothraxion the Redeemed. Just like in the old days it's just a question of continually putting Dudes on the board and buffing them.

Even blind people can win with a big priest deck. Resurrect mechanic is so broken but still blizzard print cards for it.
If they remove the druid, paladin and warlock deck, they can change the titel to Wild meta.
There is nothing else then Raza Priest, Res Priets and Secret Mage.
Translation: Voldie lost one too many times to Secret Mage and Big Priest.
I think I hear the whambulance.
Never post here this shit decks. Secret Mage and Big Priest are very big cancer in wild. They should be destroyed and never exist.
Wait they called my Wild secret Reno mage a control deck?? HUH
For all the veteran players I think it would be great to have mode where you are only allowed to play let's say 5 random expansions + classic set for one season.
I personally play only wild. I have been playing HS since beta and I don't like the way the game is developing since Brode left the Dev Team. New expansions bring a few new cards but overall the game has become less innovative and exciting with every year. Battleground and Duals are even more Casio-style games than HS to begin with.
Whatever the game designers are throwing at us in their promovideos is nothing but empty words. Enhanced reward system? Innovate play? Reasonable progress system? C'mon, nobody believes in your words anymore. For instance, once you have completed the new tracking/reward path you get 50g per level, cut me some slack.
Blizzard has turned ruining a game into an art form. It has past its due date, give it some rest.
the top Decks in wild may remain the same for longer periods than decks in standard.
but the difference is: if You play a homebrew off-meta deck in standard, climbing to legend is nearly impossible
i play wild exclusively since the first Reno Jackson release, and I reached legend every month last year (more time due to COVID). I never used a meta deck or a netdeck.
i reached legend in the last months with:
reno tempo dh
galakrond big demon lock
highlander galakrond warlock
dark portal malygos warlock
milllock
treachery warlock
dragonlock
Even lock (normal and highlander)
(I play almost only warlock 😂)
Heck diamond 2 was possible even with Reno discard quest lock:D
and there are many people playing off meta/homebrew till diamond 3
standard is different
So those 6 would be Raza priest, Big priest, Odd pally, Secret mage, token druid and Renolock? Here are 10 more which have all dominated in recent times:
Even shaman, Big Shaman, Cubelock, Discolock, Painlock, Giant and Flamewaker quest mage, Kingsbane Rogue, Pirate Warrior and Mech Paladin.
Depending on which decks are on top, the supporting cast of decks also change. Also note that Soul and Odd DH are completely new and viable additions, and several decks like Even shaman kept changing considerably because of new additions.
No painlock lol
Ppl know nothing about wild. U think these are he only available meta decks? Wrong so wrong. U can with so many decks reach legend in wild. Standard cant say the same
Yeah this article is definitely missing another 3-5 tier 1 decks AND DOZENS of tier 2. They're right there on HSreplay or a variety of meta reports...
Since the Barnes nerf awhile back, the wild meta has actually been changing/adjusting at an awesome pace every expansion. Can still almost always play the deck you want in a not stagnate meta.
To the ones claiming that the Wild meta does not change: no it isn't true, and not remotely so.
First of all, token druid took a massive hit with the Reader nerf and is no longer a tier 1 decks, which it was before.
Odd paladin got a lot stronger last expansion after having gone in and out of the meta in various versions, including more general "dudedins" which are still played. It is still a sitting duck vs big decks, so I don't think it will be a meta tyrant.
Big priest and raza priest got a lot stronger last expansion with Palm Reading adding consistency. Lorekeeper Polkelt is a borderline broken supertutor in Raza priest, and the nerf barely mattered. Both decks have gone in and out several times due to nerfs, additions and metachanges.
Quest mage was an amazing deck a few seasons ago, but is just not good enough anymore. You would also expect decks like highlander hunter, jade druid, cubelock, odd DH, discolock and even shaman to be more prevalent than they are, as I am pretty confident they would all shine in Standard.
As a fairly dedicated wild player, I could go on. The last year, the Wild meta has changed a lot more than I expected!
So basically the top 6 decks are still the top 6 decks but they just got shuffled around among themselves.
Good to know. Much change.
It's a bit sad that Wild, the format that the game itself advertises is "Wild!" has had no changes over the past 2 years. Standard, however, changes constantly, even in within expansions as new decks rise and fall. I don't want to project or make assumptions about the design or balance teams, but it looks like they just don't really care about Wild much.
That's kinda the way I imagined wild.
"man, it's hard to balance all these cards and we keep making more... what if we had this big dumpster we can put a bunch of cards every year and forget about them? we can pretend it's a feature!"
Beyond broken raza priest but with yogg PogChampion If every other highroll fails , yogg sure wont. Cant wait for warlock/rogue/dh nerfs cause they are the problem amirite :))))))))
sik decks blad can't wait to try them out
So basically the same decks as the past 2 years, good to know.
Careful, Skarma gets easily offended when people comment negatively about his meta deck posts that never change....
