The Headless Horseman Rides is This Week's Brawl!
It's time to battle the Headless Horseman! We'll arm you with the finest Hallow's End costumes Azeroth has to offer.
Trivia
- This is a brand new brawl.
- The brawl is a part of the Hallow's End Hearthstone Event for 2017.
- This is a PvE brawl, no player opponent this time! Your opponent is the Headless Horseman.

- You earn your card pack even if you lose!

- Witch Costume - Your hero power is Witchcraft. Your deck is based on spell synergies.
- Pirate Costume - Your hero power is Conscript. Your deck is based on pirate synergies.
- Cat Costume - Your hero power is Sense Weakness. Your deck is based on beasts and kitty things like Claw.

The Fight
- The Headless Horseman starts off with 30 Health. His hero power, Slash, deals random damage to your side of the field.
- Many of the cards in the Headless Horseman's deck are able to deal AoE damage to you - gross!
- After defeating the Headless Horseman, he removes his head (Headless Horseman's Head), a 2/35 minion.
- His head deals 2 damage randomly split to your side of the field at the start of each of his turns.
- Destroying the head, as indicated on the card text, wins you the game.

Discuss This Week's Brawl
Head on over to our dedicated discussion thread over on our Tavern Brawl forum.
A PvE fight with a terrible deck. Wow such fun. Crap job, Ben.
That might just be because you're not good enough at the game :(
Prepare yourselves, the bells have tolled! Shelter your weak, your young and your old! Each of you shall pay the final sum! CRY for mercy! THE RECKONING HAS COME! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Tryed it 3 times. To try every costumes. Starting hand was crap each time. Got my pack even if i lost and decided to not put more time into it since there is nothing to be gain for the challenge.
Im fine with people not caring about reward.
But as far i remember, i normally would be able to earn something from an event for beating it and normally not the ''Every weeks'' reward for loosing on most games lol. The goodies is the ''thing'' that normally make most people happy about beating something.
I mean I love it, but not sure if getting a pack for losing would make some people play it again. I still beat it cause I wanted to see what happened
Good job with that brawl.
I liked it a lot! - totally lost my head over that second phase!
As much as I enjoy themed fights, I was disappointed that this wasn't a Co-op fight.
This Brawl was a wasted opportunity. Imagine how much more fun this could've been if it was a versus AI that involved two human players.
nice with something new but pls, u can just play anything random from your hand and win. way to easy, takes away the fun
Witches and cats are really cool, but man pirates are terrible.
So, I sat down and played every single possible game. I have 5 wins and two were down to fatigue and there are 0 benefits (other than bragging rights) to playing all 3 classes.
also this is really hard to some people? It's just proper planning and knowing when to play the right card. It does in fact actually take skill for once.
As far as skill goes, I stabilized and he just topdecked Fear on turn 9 after having already played one on turn 7. Sure, skill is involved, but hearthstone will always be hearthstone
Ehm i know it's not a bug but it feels like a bug. If you cast sap with Witch costume you just cast one sap and you lose 4 mana crystals. Dev team definetly knew this as decks are premade. I believe that Hearthstone dev team spends more time thinking about how to fuck with Hearthstone community than actually working on the game.
Yeah i know that's why i said it's not a bug.
Because they added sap into this deck in the first place. Imo it doesn't fit into the deck. Even more when you take hero power in consideration, you are paying double mana for a single effect (Well it's double effect but not really :D).
Idea of adding this card into this deck just seems ridicolous and out of place. That's what i meant with my original post.
I do like the idea of this brawl, i just don't like Sap in the Witch deck.
spirit echo doesn't stack either...
I basically won 5 games in a row with Spirit Echo on Triple White Eyes
So who else just went in and instantly conceded to get the card pack with zero effort ?
dam that worked thanks!
Played as cat, used infest, got kingmosh, attacked the head and kingmoshed, gg
its not as hard as it seems, i lost my first try because I didnt even know the head was a thing (2/35). Most decks give you enough control to finish it, seen much harder ones before.
I just tried, beating with all 3 options, you dont get anything special. The first win/loss game you play, rewards you a single classic pack. Thats it.
