The Headless Horseman Rides is This Week's Brawl!
It's time to battle the Headless Horseman! We'll arm you with the finest Hallow's End costumes Azeroth has to offer.
Trivia
- This is a brand new brawl.
- The brawl is a part of the Hallow's End Hearthstone Event for 2017.
- This is a PvE brawl, no player opponent this time! Your opponent is the Headless Horseman.
- Passive hero powers are in use for the player, a rarity!
- You earn your card pack even if you lose!
Choose Your Costume
You get to choose a costume to wear on your first turn. This gets rid of your Stormwind Champions and draws you a new hand.
- Witch Costume - Your hero power is Witchcraft. Your deck is based on spell synergies.
- Pirate Costume - Your hero power is Conscript. Your deck is based on pirate synergies.
- Cat Costume - Your hero power is Sense Weakness. Your deck is based on beasts and kitty things like Claw.

The Fight
- The Headless Horseman starts off with 30 Health. His hero power, Slash, deals random damage to your side of the field.
- Many of the cards in the Headless Horseman's deck are able to deal AoE damage to you - gross!
- After defeating the Headless Horseman, he removes his head (Headless Horseman's Head), a 2/35 minion.
- His head deals 2 damage randomly split to your side of the field at the start of each of his turns.
- Destroying the head, as indicated on the card text, wins you the game.

Discuss This Week's Brawl
Head on over to our dedicated discussion thread over on our Tavern Brawl forum.
Don't ever use Comic Sans on a web page again.
while taking the witch hat i basically won 5 matches in a row with Spirit Echo cast on a Triple White Eyes that i got by using double Molten Reflection . The trick is to use all your taunt and big monster to clean his board and make him waste big spells. and put the White eyes when you think it's safe for it to at least survive the turn. after this you become unstoppable :)
you're right ! why throwing suspicion ? instead of throwing noobism over how slow i was to realize that i'm just wasting extra mana :)
7 matches to win
I must be doing something horribly wrong. I am 12 matches in and haven't won yet.
woah, I got Ragnaros, Lightlord and Bloodreaver Gul'Dan from the free packs... am I just lucky or is there a higher leg drop rate?
You got Bloodreaver Guldy from a Whispers pack? Hmmm...
@L_Willard some people got KOFT packs instead of Whispers due to a bug (weird huh?).
i'm still confused... other games give you tons of free stuff right now. What did i get from hearthstone?
2x old gods (80dust)
1 arena run with 7 wins... so 150 gold and a pack = two packs that turned into 80 dust
and now a brawl that have me another 40 dust
200dust, while only 160 are from the real bonus stuff... that is not even a epic card.. that is one rare and one common card.
Srsly... thats it?
At least give is 2-3 times the gold for... oh, wait.. that would also only be some small packs and more work...
Cant you just give us anoher 100% legendary or something else that is usefull for most players?
I mean you either got all the cards OR you dont have many.. so it doesnt help much at all. Come on blizzard... one free legendary OR just make it rain... 1600dust, so people can pick what they want (even from older sets). Or ppl can save it for the future.... anyone would feel rewarded this way
I think the reason might be that Hearthstone dominates the online card game market atm. Thus, they do not need to give away a ton of free stuff to maintain the player base, while other online card games try to attract/steal players from HS by giving away free stuff.
Except it is coded as a warlock card.
Infest -> Stampeding Kodo
Infest -> King Mosh
Infest -> Chittering Tunneler -> Unwilling Sacrifice or Twisting Nether or DOOM!
hmmmm..
Nice brawl, somehow difficult on 1st game
Using the Cat Costume, Infest gave me Chittering Tunneler which gave me Twisting Nether... which instantly destroyed the head boss.
I also played a Witch game where the boss managed to play two of his big head due to Manic Soulcaster. You only have to destroy one to win though.
Very fun brawl! Thanks Blizzard!
This brawl made me realize that Tundra Rhino + Hadronox Deathrattle is quite awesome, of you played your of Druid of the Claws and other Beasts with Taunt before.
In my opinion Fear is the Worst card to deal with.
but managed to win with each costume expecting a secret reward but that didn't happen.
It was fun nonetheless, Horseman is the Champ of Top-deck though !!
Fun brawl but not really one you want to replay, makes sense they did not want to distract from the dual arena this week.
Easiest win is with Cat Costume and Stampeding Kodo. You can get it from Infest. Then just play Stampeding Kodo to destroy Headless Horseman's Head for instant win.
