The Top Death Knight Decks for Each of Hearthstone's Nine Classes
Are you looking for the perfect deck to take your new Death Knight out on a ladder destroying spree? Well, if that sounds like you, you're in luck because today we've got exactly that! Thanks to data sourced from HSReplay.net, we now know which decks rank at the top for each of the new Death Knight cards.
It can take some time to learn each deck so don't expect an immediate x% winrate! It should also be mentioned the winrates displayed below come from HSDT and so it's not data collected from every single Hearthstone player with that particular deck. Due to this, and varying sample sizes for each deck, winrates may be higher or lower than advertised.
We aren't currently recommending any particular high-cost card crafts right now, so only do so using the winrate info below at your own risk! Things are always wonky for the first couple of weeks of a new set, though The Lich King is super popular in decks so he's a pretty good (and fun) choice.

Your princess is in another castle. Meta shifts aren't being too kind here. There's been better success, though with a much lower sample size through this Pirate DK Warrior deck.

they rotate out a year at a time so I wish this wasn't the case
Something needs to be done bcause Druid is out of hand.. most top 10 legend decks are different Druid versions
You mean now in the first few days of the new expansion, where everyone is trying out new things? Mhm, big surprise.
No something had to be done long time ago.. but in the last 2 exp Druid has got some cards that fit the deck nicely and make Jade Druid imbalanced
It's the same thing over again as shaman being op cancer, then pirate warrior being op cancer now it's druid. The meta just needs to get used to them and counter it, remember that Skulking Geist is a very good tech card against druid and increases the winrate by a lot like even 10%+, yet almost no decks run it.
If druid is like 50% of the meta it seems like an easy inclusion in every deck to get that 10%+ higher winrate for every 2nd match.
It's kind of like a lot of control decks often get destroyed by aggro early in the expansion, because they are too greedy and include no early game to beat them. I think it might be kind of similar to that.
You could also argue that Ultimate Infestation isn't that overpowered because of how expensive it is and how many cards it draws. Some people argue about including 2 in the deck and include only 1 instead. Token Druid which is a strong and competitive archetype of druid still doesn't even run it. It's definitely veryyyy strong, though.
I can't believe that this is the best mage DK deck.
Just faced some kind of elemental bla-bla mage and the only thing I should say that DK mage requires Baron Geddon. You know, pumping up from 6 HP to 22 HP is pretty nice. Besides, there is a great synergy with elems in this deck, e.g. the spit of a fire elemental for 5 dmg also heals mage for 5 dmg, which is pretty insane. She had a chance to self-heal way better than my priest tho.
Anomalus Jackson is pretty good as well
IMO that build is terrible. There are no elementals in the deck besides Pyros. I mean what the fuck? I've been using DK Elemental Jaina in Wild and it's really strong. Play it minion heavy with some supporting spells, run Tar Creeper, Water Elly, Servant of Kalimos, Volatile Elemental, Baron Geddon, Pyros and N'Zoth beside some of the usual Mage suspects like Babbling Book and you're set. The games you lose are generally those where you get face-burned or your DK is at the bottom of the deck. There's no way you are losing after DK Jaina is up, cause there is only so many times your opponent can take down a N'Zoth'ed Pyros before they run out of answers. Most of the time the response to Pyros would be to just ignore it and go face, but that's hard to do when it heals you for 10 every time.
No?
Deck winrate doesn't mean the DK is good, you don't know if it would be better without the DK cards and modified a bit. There is no DK card itself winrate shown (hsreplays shows that). And if there is a better archetype for a class currently then the DK is basically useless (doesn't mean it's bad on itself, but no one uses it sooo with Trump's ratings 1 star).
And the warrior deck doesn't even have 50% winrate (so you will be losing stars with it if you play a lot of games if you aren't getting victory streaks)
A few of the DK's are super powerful if they come online at the right time in the match. the rest are of course just as situational but not as back breaking. However in Arena they are 150% busted and blizzard needs to address it ASAP.
I wouldn't say druid DK is the strongest individual card. It just fits well into an already powerful deck. DKs like lock and priest are individually strongest and worth building a deck around, those decks are just nowhere near stronger than Jade
As long as we remember that "Top" means "Most Popular" at Heathpwn, we can avoid some confusion in the future. Flux doesn't always make this obvious, because he doesn't always disclose the methodology he's using when he posts these round-ups... Or he mentions it later in the post (like this one), which most people miss because they only read the titles.
Because yeah, there is no way that some of these decks are "Top" in the sense that they have the highest win-rate.
It would help if he would just start using "Most Popular" in the titles, but hey, that's not as dramatic or enticing, so it doesn't get as many people to click the link. And maybe we shouldn't fault him for that, since he's got a job to do, and that job is to get people to click on Hearthpwn links. I think it'll just be easier if we just get used to assuming it's always "Most Popular."
What would be a good adjective to describe a deck that is both popular and has a positive win-rate, generally speaking, but isn't click-baity?
Any reason the Jade Druid has no Gadgetzan Auctioneer? o.O
Ultimate Infestation already gives you tons of cards
2xUltimate Infestation and 2x Nourish
Because it gets a new draw engine Ultimate Infestation
