Aether_lackey posted a message on Why HS comunity isn't demanding?Posted in: General DiscussionWhile I really like the game, and would like to enjoy it to it's fullest, I have been playing less and less. For about two years I'd actually grind the daily 100 gold you can get, but that seems like a distant past now. I can barely stand playing 5 games and not get grossed about some RNG bullshit or some other factor, like UI problems.
I hope blizzard is seeing this as an indication that something is not going so well. Dropping the game as a whole would mean all they money I put in adventures and pre-launch bundles is gone, so it's not an easy decision to take, especially when you still enjoy some aspects of it.
And we do demand, as a community, we really do, A LOT actually. But it takes centuries for blizzard to add 9 deckslots... and when they do give you this crumble of a feature you are so used to getting nothing the euphony just takes over. I really think they need some new people, get some fresh ideas around there, because it feels like they're in an echo chamber talking themselves they're doing the best they can and that ought to suffice. -

Lightspoon posted a message on Why HS comunity isn't demanding?Posted in: General DiscussionThe point is that Blizzard make the business decision, if the costumers don't like it they should stop playing. If the game loses costumers then Blizzard will change their business model. If they keep going then it's because their choices are ok for their costumers.
Complains like this topic in a forum while keep playing at HS are totally pointless.

SpeakOfNothing posted a message on Why HS comunity isn't demanding?Posted in: General DiscussionThe most powerful complaint any individual player could make would be to not spend any money on any aspect of the game. Unfortunately, this doesn't amount to much because there are still millions of players that find the state of the game acceptable enough to continue playing and continue spending, so the usefulness of complaints about the game is very limited.

Fluxflashor posted a message on Un'Goro Decks From the Pros for Dinos, Elementals, and Turtles of All Shapes and SizesPosted in: NewsEvery expansion there's a comment or two on this type of post which asks us to stop sharing decks to prevent netdecking.
This goes against largely what our community has become over the years. We're always sharing our decks with each other and because of that we're able to help players find stuff that works for them and even come up with new ideas based on what others are playing. Some people prefer to build decks from scratch and experiment with new cards (I fall into this category) and others just want to play something solid and not spend time building something new, especially if they only have a limited amount of time to play.
Plus, it's the start of the expansion. There's going to be a lot of innovation and changes over the next couple of days and even weeks before stuff begins to really solidify, so don't worry if a lot of people are playing similar decks. Use a post like this to build decks to counter what lots of players may be playing so you can stay ahead of the curve ;)
Good luck to everyone on the ladder! Enjoy Un'Goro and the freshness that it and the Year of the Mammoth have brought to the game.

Bannanawaffles posted a message on Un'Goro Experience (Priest POV)Posted in: Standard FormatI'll be dropping notes about my experience in Un'Goro so far playing a Deathrattle Priest deck in Standard~
Feel free to share your experiences too :)
- Elise the Trailblazer seems particularly strong, most of my opponents and myself are carrying her, and it's easy to see why. Her Un'Goro Pack be a pretty useful on-demand hand refill at a vital time, and as a 5/5 body, doesn't leave a huge tempo disadvantage on play. Pulling Tyrantus from her won me one game, which I'm pretty happy about.
- Completing Awaken the Makers seems to happen pretty reliably between turn 7 and 9, usually on the early side. Against most decks I'm currently fighting, I'm not finding the need to utilize her until much later in the match though.
- N'Zoth is incredible so far in this deck for regaining board control, bringing back your Tortollan Shellraisers and Cairne Bloodhoofs creates a fairly nice protective board in an emergency. Not to mention aiding in refilling your hand through resurrecting your Shifting Shades and Crystalline Oracles.
- Taunt warrior seems to start strong, but the Sulfuras ping doesn't do much when they lose board control and they seem to run out of steam quite heavily late in the matchup.
- Aggro hunter utilizing The Marsh Queen is very strong right now.
- Jesus, as is Aggro Rogue running The Caverns Below. Transforming their board into 5/5 and dropping massive threats for practically no mana is insane, and pulling a 5/5 Patches the Pirate off a Pirate is incredible too. Quest seems to be easy to complete within 4-5 turns fairly consistently and really does come off as fairly broken in power.
- Discard Warlock hits pretty strong from the start and gets stronger as the match continues. The Nether Portal can be annoying to deal with and gets even stronger when paired with smart Crystalweaver plays. I ended up losing my only matchup so far with this archetype, failing to draw my N'Zoth, the Corruptor or Un'Goro Pack on time to try to contend his Tempo, but the match did last a long time and he remarked afterwards about the sticking power of dropping Amara, Warden of Hope for the 40 health boost late in the game.
- Jungle Giants is a bit slow to complete it seems, and dropping Barnabus the Stomper, while strong at 8/8 for 5 Mana, will definitely not happen on curve and doesn't impact the board that hard besides being a ball of stats, due to only affecting the mana cost of the minions in their *deck*.

Livienna posted a message on Un'Goro Flavor Text Appreciation Thread!Posted in: General DiscussionToday's Patch included all the new Un'Goro flavor text. I just read through it all and damn there are some good ones!
Here are just some of the ones that stood out to me... how about you??
- Open the Waygate - Although powerful, the incantation is simple. It’s just a jump to the left, and then a step to the right.
- Devilsaur Egg - A key ingredient in all discerning Funnel Cake recipes.
- Clutchmother Zavas - A bit of a snob: still refuses to drive anything with automatic transmission.
- Tar Lord - Tar Lord, man... legendary monster? Aw, forget it.
- Igneous Elemental - We wanted to name him "Ingenious Elemental", but he just wasn't that bright.
- Primordial Drake - Before he became a rap artist.
- Vilespine Slayer - 'Cause slayers gonna slay, slay, slay, slay, slay.
- Lost in the Jungle - George and Karl were never heard from again.
- Vinecleaver - George and Karl! Thank the Light we found you!
So now we know... the secret ingredient in the
drugsfunnel cake of azeroth is devilsaur eggs...Would also love to know who writes these/what the process is. Do team five have a special forum in which to suggest flavor text, and then they sit around and read them all/pick the best? Please be real!!!
Suggestions from others:
- Elise the Trailblazer - Reno taught her that blazing her own trail is a lot more fun than following someone else's map.
- Biteweed - AKA Edwin VanLeaf.
- Evolving Spores - The most powerful mushrooms are commonly found in boxes marked with "?".
- Thunder Lizard - What? THUNDER LIZARD is adapting!
- Kalimos, Primal Lord - All that's missing is a little heart.
- Free From Amber - Bingo! Minion DNA!
- The Last Kaleidosaur - “Impossible!” exclaimed the Silver Hand Recruit, his eyes filled with fear. Uther shook his head, turning the crystal until it caught the light: “Life finds a way.”

So it looks like the "Reno" effect might come up some more in the Kabal cards: "We are at our STRONGEST when our decks only have a SINGLE COPY of each card!" Here's hoping!

This is the last paladin card of the set probably. We've seen the whole paladin class!

No... Because you also have way fewer pieces to work with. On heroic, you essentially can't make any mistakes because there is no way to recover. Normal is much less punishing, since you can keep getting queens or other strong pieces.

"His favorites are classic tragedies like 'The Hobbit' and 'Grendel'"

You should definitely sleep... You're probably not gonna make it, and if you do, you're not gonna enjoy it. Just sleep for four hours.

Sap's downside is card disadvantage.

Man! They're nerfing my Maly Paly deck with Forbidden Healing as a finisher. Lame. I better get a dust refund for this. (Kappa)

I made it to Legend with this list last season, and am still having a good deal of success with it.

Warrior: I'm overly careful and cautious, but also have a tendency to get angry and passionate.

Just crafted Malkorok because I love playing Warrior and he seems sweet. I played a bunch of games trying to get a chance to play him. I finally did, and the weapon I got was a Cursed Blade. I lost because of it.
