A Wild C'thun Mage deck with this minion is pretty fun. Newer cheap spells like Magic Trick, Shooting Star, and Ray of Frost make it easy to ramp up your C'thun's power fast. Combine with Mana Cyclone for even more value.
The golden animation is great.
Poor Man's Bloodmage Thalnos
+ 2/1 | - Card Draw
nah its good
I find it weird that it has the dragonsoul priest set armour ^^
2 mana 3/2 with Spell Damage is good and should be played in Mage. Additionally, it has a very good effect for C'thun decks that synergies well with the class. This card is very good and it should be a staple in Mage decks.
kobold with 1 extra attack and high potential to make C'Thun a beast
I like it
Very good card (wherever it is), very good art.
As a golden cards fan, I can't wait to see its golden art.
man, if this was a neutral, this would be ridiculous in druid.
the regular card with spell damage for 2 mana is a 2/2
but on classes card sometimes they are stronger than the regular so its fine for it to be 3/2 class card
It's not power creep because it's a class card & also it's a c'thun card & it seems they're trying to make them playable. Also the candle dude is in the basic set & Ben bride stated there SHOULD be a small element of progression (aka a bit of power creep) to make people feel like they're getting better cards.
also it's not power creep if the original card is rarely/marginally used.
Maybe it's meant to replace Soot Spewer for standard and supplement C'thun, also it's not got any mech synergies.
you forgot the machine tag for soot, soot was meant to have synergy with mech decks, so its not only 1 attack for 1 mana, its 1 attack and mech.
the thing about cult sorcerer it has a synergy with one card only.
Also, it's not Power Creep if the original card is almost never used.
Kobold Geomancer is definately used enough, especially in mage and rogue
Never mind the C'tun buff. 2 mana 3/2 spell damage +1 is already very good. Compare Kobold Geomancer and Soot Spewer
This is insanely good with Master of Ceremonies even if you play both on turn 5 (if somehow this sticks and you play them on curve it is just ridiculous)
C'Thun Tempo Mage, just sayin'.
Good for the spells part only.
It's seems "they" are really wanting mage do be the "Spell Damage +" class. Dalaran Aspirant. I like it stats and effect with C'Thun can help. Good card :)
