I won't lie 80% are meme or garbage, but of those meme/garbage cards at least some of the meme ones are playable.
I am a serious proponent of thinking blood worm will essentially be the next heal bot. I think it personally has really good synergy with corpse taker and decks that like beasts that lack healing. In basic terms, it seems like more than a pack filler.
If you rank heal bot as an 8/10 i'd rank blood worm like a 7/10 since its a 4/4 with soft taunt and life steal(or at least heal yourself for 4 or avoid one fireball level spell)
Isn't that the case with every expansion though? Most expansions have about 1 in 5 cards that are actually good and see consistent play and another 1 out of the 5 that are alright and see some marginal play and the other 3 out of the 5 are too situational, don't have enough support from existing cards or are plain bad.
I suspect that will always be the case, it's just too hard to design every card (Or even most of them) to be really good at the time of release, some become better later when more support is released in further expansions but many remain terrible, that's just how it is.
They also said that Dr Boom was crap... dont give a shit about it. I think the cards are great. They will change the meta. 80% are playable and thats cool.

"... but not less than (1)" is needed now more than ever!
Look back at previous expansions and people's predictions. It is clear that people failed in their predictions of most cards, this time will be no different.
Same as ever, just wait for things to settle and we'll be back to complaining about stale meta and the need for new cards and whatnot. The cycle repeats.
This expansion just feels like a near to full midrange-late game expansion. Problem is it has too many rng parts and you need combos to work really well and thus its pretty bad of an expansion. The real problem is WOTOG doesn't cycle out and thus all the meta decks right now seem to outclass any new decks. Consistency and less complicated situations for things to occur means that most of these cards are bad. Even the early game cards, while decent, there isn't enough for a proper aggro deck, or for aggro-mid to work well with the new expansion as pirate warrior and similar decks still do better.
Basically if Wotog cycled out maybe this expansion would be great, but in the current meta most decks are way too slow from KOTFT and value will get outclassed very fast. However, similar to previous expansions, while 80% (or more) of the cards are bad or gadgety, people will always find decks that work and change the meta. Cards may be bad but they will somehow see play and become new meta decks. Yes cards may be garbage but people will take them on and make new tier 1 decks.
I am a little concerned for this expansion not going to lie. But lest we forget, Toast was an irrelevant guy wearing cardboard bread on his face until he made his career entirely out of bitching at Blizzard. It is in his best interests to say things like this.
Predicting the cards without playing them is like trying to guess the nature of an electron. You can guess and hypothesis all you want, but it only becomes true once it is observed. Even if KotFT flops (I doubt it), it does set a precedent for design going forward: big cards will have bigger impacts. If that is the only success (again I really doubt it) there is still hope for future sets. Also, remember that even if this expac sucks now, it can always find its time in the sun eventually. Evolve and Eater of Secrets are good examples of this.
A lot of pros are saying this, and they are probably right. If you really look at all the cards they aren't very powerful compared to what we currently have mana for mana. The DK cards look powerful and a few tech cards like the one that kills jade idol. A lot of the others not so much, but they do look fun to play.
I think that people are too harsh on predictions atm. Sure, KOTFT will have its difficulties whereas Un'Goro had time to shine. And why? Because when Un'Goro was released, a bunch of staple meta cards were moved to Wild and killed some dominant Standard meta decks, like the Reno ones for instance. I am pretty sure if KOTFT was released before Un'Goro, people would bash it instead. So we will see how thinks turn out. As fore my predictions, I could still see an increase in Warlock decks, Secret Mages and some re-worked archetypes like Dragon Mage if its legendary turns out to be playable enough. Of course, things like Pirate Warrior will still be present but we have to wait and see how the meta will change to say which card is garbage (maybe aside from the Prince ones, the Warlock and Paladin legendaries because these are the ones that I am not convinced about)

Oh man it is not about the single card it is about the entire set you can fail to predict a single card but if you compare expansions you can clearly see level of the expansions.

In his today's stream, Disguised Toast said that most of the upcoming expansion cards are garbage, fillers or meme cards.
Not just disguised toast but alot of pros said that KOTFT has a few cards that could have an effect on the meta. I hope they are wrong.
But in a way i am affected by their negativity and they somehow killed my hype for the expansion :(
Oh, some guy on the internet said the cards are crap, there goes my fun :(
Friendly reminder that every popular streamer, san noxious, declared Mysterious Challenger to be Dust.
When the weak court death, they find it.

Crystal core is a garbage card, and will never see play, lol. Also Sunkeeper is so trashy and mediocre, rip Paladin, i guess.
Release the Kraken!

He is right, this expansion is completly garbage. I also agree on the number of 80%, even 85/90 haha
All of the following cards have convinced me that pros are often incorrect about cards' impacts on the meta:
Lakkari Sacrifice, Dr. Boom, Mysterious Challenger, The Marsh Queen, Dirty Rat, Firelands Portal, Sherazin, Corpse Flower, Unlicensed Apothecary, Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, N'Zoth, the Corruptor, Eternal Sentinel, Evolve (for 3 sets it was bad), Troggzor the Earthinator, and many many many many more.
So don't worry about it.

My mum could likely forecast card viability better than the "pro streamers".

He is right I cannot find any good card to fit into deck I wanted to create from KFT

Well i think we will have a very different meta , so it is early to say new cards are all meme cards. Try not to fit the cards in today's meta.
