You know what's actually garbage? Pros and streamers trying to review cards in a vacuum. Almost every expansion I've seen, reviews end up saying the same shit, all the cards are garbage etc. People thought fucking Dr Doom and Mysterious Challenger were garbage cards and they ended up defining the meta.
Don't let reviews ruin your hype. They are complete bullshit 90% of the time, and even if they are somehow correct and this expansion sucks, the most fun you'll have in Hearthstone is at the start of an expansion trying weird decks on ladder against other people's weird decks. Knights will at least be no different in this regard.
Toast is just angry that he didn't get a card to reveal because Blizzard is currently not too happy with him for leaking stuff and intentionally streaming game exploits. Also, it's worth mentioning that he's making comments like this to get people to talk about him.
^^this guy knows what's up, couldn't agree more with you and problem is it's working because of people posting threads like this and giving him the attention he wants. lol
I don't think that trashing cards gains anything to the toast tho I think he was right in the case of Blizzard ban.
Don't think that I am trying to protect the Toast but bashing cards almost ends up getting hatred of people who loves heartstone I just write that card is bad in the card's comment section and I get lots of negative points from the community.
So I think real courage is saying that the card is trash in heartstone community
1. It's a hyperbole, but most of the cards in any expansion will not be played much. We know that.
2. You are listening to Toast - a guy who probably missed more lethals then anyone actively involved with the game and can't get out of rank 5 for 2-3 days straight. And then gets salty and is upset because his opponents draw cards. In a card game. Yeah.
It's logically impossible for more than a few cards to be good every expansion .
Here's why : You can only put 30 cards in your deck . But in an expansion there are much more cards you could put in your deck than slots available . So the cards you don't put in your deck end up being called bad .
Even if you where to make your deck entirely with cards from a single expansion (completely unrealistic as it would mean every expansion would be a power creep) there would still be more than half the card being called bad because they didn't make it into your deck .
I think every class got 2 or 3 good cards. I think there are a handful of strong neutrals. One of the issues (if you can call it that) is that we already have a ridiculously diverse metagame. Most classes have multiple viable decktypes. So the impact of a set is muted when everything is already good.
In my opinion, the real failing of this set is that Hunter and Warlock are still bad. Mayyyyyybe Warlock has a shot. But I think Hunter is unplayable.
I think there are cards in the expansion that are not receiving much attention but might help slowing down the meta, like Saronite Chain Gang. But yeah, if the meta doesn't slow down, most of KFT cards won't be competitive.
I think Toast was talking about the Neutral Legendaries. 4 out of 5 are garbage. Only The Lich King is amazing. Arfus is also decent but has got poor stats.
This expansion has cards of different styles, like requiring various strategies, having unusual effects or interesting keyword and stat combinations, which can be interpreted as bad cards compared to others. I think we will see their true potential by experimenting with them as time goes by, I feel like many of them will surprise us one way or another.
I'm sorry, didn't notice that the Pros controled the meta (a meta that still doesn't exist) and also didnt know that the Pros are the ones that define the new archtypes of decks. What about you think for yourselfs instead of thinking what the "pros" think.
Toast sounds like he invented the wheel, but that's actually a general rule of every expansion. From constructed perspective only 20-25% of cards are playable. Higher diversity of cards can be seen only in the arena.
In MTG the percentage will be even drastically lower, I would say that it can't go beyond 10%.
This, so this. Every expansion people freak out by the number of cards that pros and streamers think "won't see play." Fact is, the majority of cards don't see play in top tier decks. This is even more true of the second and third releases in a year as opposed to the release that coincides with the standard rotation. There will always be surprises of a few cards (Boom, Tarim, etc.). Also if you take a wider view there will be lower tier decks that play many of the cards that are "garbage" or "won't see play" (looking at any deck archetype / build around that didn't quite have the power, e.g. old bolster warrior, beast druid and many of the quests).
Toast is a fun streamer, but I wouldnt exactly call him a good card evaluator. This expansion, like any other, has numerous cards that wont see play, but that doesnt make them garbage. Take meat wagon for instance, the card is actually quite strong in a deck built around it, but that deck is far too inconsistent at this time for it to see serious play.
Even if only 20% of the cards are going to be played in the new meta, the standard rotation never sleeps. After the next rotation other cards begin to shine (even more Un'Goro cards I think). IMO WotoG was the coolest expansion so far. But when these cards rotate out, a lot of new spots in different decks need to be filled with new ones. This is where the other expansions (especially KotfT I hope) can shine more! I think that a more controlish meta will start after the next rotation. Nobody will miss Patches the Pirate!
While most cards really are tech and meant for fun cards,80%?I thought Toast was cool.Low key lost respect for him :/
If you watched his stream, he was trying to be realistic most of these cards are going to be useless like most expansions that doesn't mean you can't make fun decks with them. Plus toast has already said before he doesn't like doing prediction because if you're wrong you get trashed on

Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
He's right - most of the new expansion is trash. Most people won't even try cards that aren't in net decks.
But hey, if you're happy with using the good 20% of the set - go for it.
Do streamers have access to future expansions? Or were they not suppose to know?
Does Blizzard know they know all the expansions?
I exist, I think.
Every expansion the big streamers say the cards will be garbage. Every expansion they are wrong.

Toast from Standard & Poors ratet the cards so dare you to say otherwise!
