How is this any better than Ragnaros the Firelord? It deals 2 less damage, has a 50% chance not to trigger, has terrible stats and the effect won't even occur until the start of your next turn. All that for the ability to attack with a 2/7? That isn't worth it. I'd change it to end of turn (or have it trigger of something else) and up the stats a bit.
Hi all, leaning towards (b) for its swarm potential. With (a), I'm not sure I'd run it as 1/2 dragons is bad except for Primalfin Totem (1 is a basic). At a stretch (b) actually supports Windshear Stormcaller too as dragons in your hand don't fill the board. Follow it with Primal Talismans mates a effective Bloodlust board etc.
Also, I think there's some anti lore between Dragons - Elements, so maybe this is an issue?
Are we allowed to make epic or legendary class cards?
Nevermind, I found what to submit:
Cool idea, but imho you have to balance it a bit. Just imagine the following scenario:
Resurrect priest casting Zerek's Cloning Gallery into Spirit Lash into encore!. 4 mana is just too cheap for a powerful effect like this one.
[edit] Yeah, I understand this spell resurrect enemy minions as well, but Priest will abuse it in its Big variation builds.
Aren't we designing cards for the blackrock mountain expansion? There's no cloning gallery, no spirit lash and no other resurrect support cards except Resurrect itself.
Aren't we designing cards for the blackrock mountain expansion? There's no cloning gallery, no spirit lash and no other resurrect support cards except Resurrect itself.
True, but shouldn't we take future expansions into consideration? MODS? Even if this isn't the case, the effect is too powerful to be @ 4 mana and it becomes busted, when you decrease its cost even more. Personally I would combine it by sacrificing my big damaged minions (Y'sera) into smaller ones and once I cast it, I will actually heal them to full health. Then I will destroy my opponent's big threats (Shadow Word: Death), so I will deny the spell resurrecting them as well. This enables unfair swings imho.
I haven't played HS before LoE, so I'm not aware of the popular priest decks back then, but I can think of an annoying combo with this:
plain and simple.. like those weaklings outside Ironforge
I'd rather you waited our feedback. Your card looks like a power-creeped Ironforge Rifleman; the verb "deal" should have be written with a capital letter and the watermark symbol should resemble BrM, not the Classic set.

Personally, I think you should put far more emphasis on what would be considered okay for the time, and not worry about what came after. Those cards didn't exist yet; if some busted interaction came about because your card messes up the timeline, then the timeline would end up changed. It might dramatically alter how a future card is designed, or it might just come down to the most simple outcome: your card gets nerfed "in the future", to compensate.
It's difficult to realign one's mindset, but it's less about what currently exists and more about what might have been. That's the framework I tend to work with, anyway; same for the Big Comps. Does the Freeze Hero Power of my Lich class shut down Kingsbane in a major way? Absolutely. Would Kingsbane exist in a timeline where the Lich class is the tenth class of Hearthstone? Probably not.
*shrugs* I've only won the once, so maybe I'm wrong.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!

But this isn't that important, because the panda was part of a certain set (and you had to include C'thun in your deck, in order to benefit from the buff effect). In TBP we got a similar minion with the same stats but no extra benefit - Spring Rocket, so your minion would be better than both cards combined.
"Stop trying to make Dragon Paladin a thing. It's never going to be a thing." But if perhaps we go to the source, where Dragon Synergy truly began, and planted a seed alongside Dragon Consort, in the same vein as Wyrmrest Agent and Twilight Guardian...
The flavour is a Dark Iron Dwarf seeking some form of rebellion against the subservience to Ragnaros. As for the stats, it's not the same "2.5 -> 3.5 mana" that Blackwing Technician has, pretty much "2.5 -> 3," but Paladin can kinda get away with it given their Buff spells, and adding a "Gain +1 Attack" clause might start causing the text to shrink (even if you contract "you are" to "you're")
Also, technically, Lifesteal wasn't "a thing" until Knights of the Frozen Throne, but Mistress of Pain had the Lifesteal effect back in GvG, before it was codified, complete with that text. Soooo....
You are trying to make Dragon Paladin a thing. I like that. Please continue.

Option B is much better, and is also my favourite card in this thread so far. The flavour is great in terms of name, art and effect, and I think it's interesting how it has this really strong effect which is balanced by giving your opponent some knowledge of your hand. My only issue is that turn 3 might be a bit early in the game to flood the board with bodies. If I were you I would change it to a 4 mana 3/4, but that's just my opinion. Even in you keep it exactly the same I'd definitely vote for it.
Also if anyone is struggling to find art of Dark Iron Dwarves, try looking up "Duergar". They're a race of evil dwarves from the Dungeons & Dragons universe who look very similar.
Hey, I'm kind of new here and could use a tip for finding my way around here. I see that all winners of these contests are put into a winner's hall of fame, but I can only find a version of this hall of fame that leads up to a few years ago. How do I find the latest winners of these contests who are to be memorialized forever on this site?

The Winners Gallery has fallen behind, sadly. I wanted to take a day and get it back up to date, but apparently the situation is out of my hands: the Gallery updates automatically, except the code for it has become broken. I don't know how to fix it, and Shadows is usually busy. For now, the Gallery will remain messed up :(

Unfortunately I haven't got time right now to give feedback on everyone else's ideas, but I've picked out my favourites so far.
The card I like the most is the Dark Iron Avenger, but he's kinda weak in his current state imo. Either reduce his cost by 1 or buff his stats a bit and he will be fine. The Rogue spell has a nice flavour attached to it, but the art needs a change. It's too dark and we can barely see the victim on it. Moreover, the mana cost is too cheap - if you kill just 1 minion, you will get a better Volcanic Potion. Solemn Vigil is a 5 mana Arcane Intellect, so imho you should increase the cost of the rogue spell by 1.
Didn't realise they look so similar (same rarity, same stats, both start with "Dark Iron")
DIR - I think it needs an additional effect such as "draw a card", in order to be good. It won't make it unbalanced, since the draw effect comes with a condition (you have to have a weapon equipped and then you have to destroy it). I don't think anyone wanted to shuffle weapons in their decks in the past, so the buff is necessary. If you implement this change, you will make the card a lot better in the arena format.
DIJ - The dwarf kinda reminds me of Saint Peter, who decides who is worthy to enter the Heaven Garden and who should suffer in Hell for their past sins. So the flavour is definitely there and I also like the design. If I were you, I would enter the comp with this card just like ChildOfTheAtom said.
Sorry, mate, I don't like the card that much. It feels like Glowstone Technician with +1/+1 in stats but with a restriction in the effect. I think it will be better, if you buffed the dragons on your board. And I am not fan of the new art either.
Allows Priest to go aggressive and control at the same time.
Just a small (and probably a noob) question - isn't the 3 damage ping a bit too much? I think the card is already good in Inner Fire priest, so why not leave it at 2 damage (it will match the minion's attack)? Other than that the card is fine.
"Stop trying to make Dragon Paladin a thing. It's never going to be a thing." But if perhaps we go to the source, where Dragon Synergy truly began, and planted a seed alongside Dragon Consort, in the same vein as Wyrmrest Agent and Twilight Guardian...

Make it 3 mana 2/5 and it's good. Cards, that have dragon synergy, are famous for their powerful stats. Just think of Wyrmrest Agent or Blackwing Technician. If you keep your dwarf at 2/5, it will be like a mistress of pain with +1/+1 in stats.
BB - Hammer of Twilight. Fight for the Booze - either a 3/3 (deal 1 damage to an enemy minion), a 2/2 (2 dmg), a 1/1 (3 damage) or a plain Shadow Bolt.

I like Fight for the Booze very much, but rather would see it as a Warrior card. Here are my two ideas so far:
Balance might be off for the Grim Patron Warrior meta, but I was trying to make a card that could work with the Warrior's BRM package, Axe Flinger and Revenge.
It's more restrictive than Frothing Berserker, costs 1 more and has 2 less Health, but she has +1 Attack starting out and gains +1/+1 instead of just Attack. That can be a big deal if you can get her rolling.
I don't like it. It's not very original, and the flavor is quite lacking.
I wanted to try and incorporate Solemn Vigil and Dragon's Breath into a cycle, so I made these three cards. They're all really simple, just like the two I mentioned, and that's really the whole point of it. I couldn't come up with a better name for the Shaman spell, so I just copied the Dark Iron Arena Hero Power as a placeholder.
Now that I think of it, this probably won't work for the competition cus the cards are just not flashy enough.
Jeering Crowd is the best one, but there are too many people using that artwork already, so that might backfire.

Option B hands down. There are costs with no Totems, so option A would be problematic.
Unfortunately I haven't got time right now to give feedback on everyone else's ideas, but I've picked out my favourites so far.
My only problem with both is that they are very similar to other BRM cards: Dark Iron Avenger with Lava Shock and Dark Iron Ambush with Dark Iron Skulker.
Out of them, I'd go with Dark Iron Avenger, because the effect is more interesting and the art is really cool, but I'd probably restrict it to only target minions.
Hey, thanks for your feedback. I'm not going to lie, I was wondering whether I should make the card a warrior or a rogue one. Since it makes more sense to you to be in the latter class, I will change the frames. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Lara Firehearth: I typed this in google and didn't find any matches. I presume the name was made up, so imho you should add a title like princess or imperial highness, i.e. "Princess Lara" (or something in those lines). Secondly, since some people care about the aesthetic looks of a card, I would advise you to change the wording like so:
Taunt Deathrattle: Add 2 Mountain Giants to your hand.
I like Lara the most, but I am not really sure whether or not she would have been too powerful in Control Warrior back in BrM. Personally I would make her a 5 mana 5/5 with the same effect, though it would be a good idea to ask others how they feel about Lara's current stats.
Dark Irony: I don't get the flavour of this card. What is considered ironic here? And about its design - so for 4 mana we get Shield Block, 2 extra armour (Armor Up!) and 1-2 Durability of the equipped weapon (most likely FWA)? This is probably fine, but I have mixed feelings about it. I don't like how 3 different effects are stiched in one spell.

I just remembered, that the zombies heal the opponent, if Auchenei dies in the process. Someone could still pull it off with Holy Smite, Shadow Word: Pain or Light of the Naaru on the Soulpriest, so that she resurrects to full Health for the combo, but those are 8 cards being used. Still annoying for my standards. :Pplain and simple.. like those weaklings outside Ironforge
