That the card behaves differently than Prince Malch and can't be used with quests is stupid, but whatever, but I just found out the hard way that he also can't reduce the cost of DK hero powers either. Grats on making a card just as worthless as the new Avaina but hiding how bad it is with inconsistent mechanics, blizzard.

It still makes the card totally worthless. That's not even arguable. MAYBE, just MAYBE in aggro hunter...somehow despite you losing curve badly.

Well, it's day one bud. Give it time for somebody to figure out a nice deck with Genn, and even then it's around for 2 years with half the cards introduced potentially fitting into that type of deck.
Yeah I was suprised by that as well.
Played it in new handlock before i realised 22 games later that they made the OTK shaman just too easy and good. I did theorycraft on it as well but i never expected it to blow Cubelock so hard on power level. Broken AF.
So no point playing anything than super aggro / or Shudderlol. And as I love control, well my hype for the expac died a bit xD

bepisI’ve had some pretty good early success with my even shaman. 1 mana cost totems are just overwhelming since they are a pain to get rid of. That Eel also is so good (ofc).
Tbh, the fact that it doesn’t work with DKs isn’t that much of a drawback. The power of cheaper hero powers is in the early and mid game. Not the endgame.
I reached legend with a Genn deck just hours after the expac. I started at rank 3 but still ...
Just because you can't make a card work with 5 minutes of effort put in doesn't make it unplayable

Went from rank 3 to legend in about 2-3 hours with this even shaman list I made, it certainly isn't good in every deck but if you actually consider cards that aren't usually played but have synergy with your turn 1 hero power (note Cryostasis) it can be a very powerful effect.
Even Paladin has the highest winrate on the Asian server. XD
