SI:7 Fish OMEGALUL
I love this card. I really really do. It really helps handle Pirate Rogue and Odd Pally to have board control.
SI:7's line "Hah, this guys toast" would actually make more sense for an eel.

Thoughts so far?
River Croc with a decent battlecry if you meet the requirements. Have to see what else shaman is getting to support the even synergy.
When this actually works the first week of the expansion dropping:
Why doesn't this card have overload!!!!???? This is a ridiculously better Madeiv's valet with no downsides. Guess Shaman is the next class 2 dominate.
Sure, there is definitly NO DOWNSIDE to this card... Apart from the fact that you cant use odd manacost cards.
Basically replaces Lightning Strike...
Then you lose Far Sight, Lightning Storm, Hot Spring Guardian, Earth Elemental... Too much.
Gets synergy with Cost Reduction on hero power... You lose Manatide totem in a totem deck? And theres no totem synergy atm. And you can't use it with Thrall, Deathseer since he is odd. You lose a lot of Elementals too...
If the archetype for this deck were remotely feasible, I could see this card getting played. But as it stands, there's no chance of an "evens only" shaman seeing play unless there are some busted Shaman cards printed around the concept (on a similar power level to Duskbreaker, which this card doesn't come close to), and Hagatha ends up being extremely powerful.
All of Shaman's spell removal and AOE cards aside from Hex are odd cost, and most of their currently strong even cost cards are rotating out (devolve, Jades, etc...). The totem synergy cards, class draw/cycle, and Bloodlust are odd cost as well, so it's unlikely the deck will be able to make all that much use out of the hero power, especially with Warlock and Priest being the dominant decks in the current meta with only a few cards rotating out for their most powerful decks, which are loaded with AOE that punishes pressing the button (Defile and Psychic Scream being the most punishing of them).
In all likelihood, this card won't see any play, and shaman will remain the worst class, as they're losing a majority of the cards that are played the current almost-viable decks, and all of the cards that made them reasonably strong at some point or other since the rotation of Tunnel Trogg and Totem Golem.

* fast forward 2.5 months later when Tier 1 Meta is made up of only 2 decks: Even Shaman (with this card as core) and Odd Paladin*
lol
In an expansion centered around a haunted forest, the inclusion of a random-ass sea creature mildly bothers me.
Point Taken
Idk... The Other guy had a pet monkey...
Playable in arena, but the battlecry will likely never be active unless you drafted Genn, drew out your deck, or picked poorly lol. But ayy, 2 dmg that can go over the top is 2 dmg that can go over the top. In constructed, even Shaman could be ok--certainly better than this Freeze nonsense. Could be dope in the right deck. Flametongue, Hex, and Fire Ele are all tried and true. Really hoping the Hag can compete with the other DKs such that she might complement or round out the archetype. My boys, Thrall and Morgl, been hurting. Blizz pls
Wait... what? Why would this be only playable in Arena and why would it only work if you drafted Genn?
A 2/3 two drop beast has always been playable in arena. Just look at River Croc and the Plated Beetle. I'm pretty sure the arena draft expansion bonus returns with the Witchwood, so the likelihood of getting more of these Even Shaman cards goes up quite a bit. Assuming you draft Genn early enough to pick around his effect, you'll p much have a two drop Fire-Plume Phoenix--which is a pretty good arena card. Edit: Almost misread your question...mb. Tbh brother, idk if this will be an arena only card. I've seen like 4 or 5 cards from the expansion lmao. I can only liken it to things I've seen in the past--Croc/Valet/Phoenix--and hope Brode and co. don't shaft Shaman for another set
Source of that?
Is this true? I'm sure everyone already knows glitter moth and gloom stag suck harder than a Dyson in arena, but I recently read there are only 6 even/odd cards, including Genn and Baku, in the Witchwood. It's really a shame if they won't be available. There would've been some crazy arena runs if you got either legendary early in your draft. Oh well
