As much praise as I gave wild for variety earlier today, I just went against 6 tempo mages and a zoolock in my last 7 matches. Not exactly thrilling deck innovations today.
I went all the way to Legend this season in Wild (so saw meta inside out) and I will never repeat that thing. experience was abysmal and painful and I will never go trough that again (just wanted to prove myself that I can do it).
Exactly, nobody said anything about high ranks, let alone Legend. Just stay below rank 15 with a bad deck nobody has ever heard of and be happy.
This game is fucking shit i broke my fucking laptop thats how this fucking game gets me pissed someone help me to make me stop playing this shit please
They need to reserve some new cards that are more exclusively towards countering previous expansions (i.e. Mechs), yet still solid for arena. Plus these expansions will eventually be cycling back in.
I don't doubt that eventually some cards may see their way back into standard I don't really see them bring back entire expansions.
My guess is that when it's rotated back in; they might consider series of nerf on whats rotated back in, since they mentioned they want to limit it as much as possible, but if it comes to that, they want to do it through transitions.
Nonsense, people only keep buying cards and will continue to stay excited if you keep the new cards coming. And with new i mean all of what that includes: New themes, styles, synergies, mechanics, card types, artworks, sounds. People like new stuff. People do not like it when you re-package and re-sell old crap.
Some individual cards could return eventually.
I was a fan of the way MtG rotated cards into the core set. I don't want them to keep re-releasing core sets but possibly every season picking some stand out cards that worked well to add back in. An example for me would be Lightbomb. It was a linchpin card holding the priest in a semi-competitive level. Now it's not so hot in standard. Perhaps Ben's statement about 'priest fixes' could be in the form of reintroducing cycled cards into standard.

Brah, they said every new expansion -> new season + old rotations will be included with the new expansion
After 2 seasons reaching rank 5 in standard, I will start climbing rank 5 in wild next season.
Disenchanting all the wild cards is quite unnecessary tbh, I feel sorry for those who regretted.
I have a few friends who did that, one ended up spending a few hundred dollars on packs to get back most of the cards he dusted. Others ended up quitting hs once they got bored with standard.

Blizzard is more likely to just reprint cards, they hinted at that too.
I'm having a ton of fun with this deck in Wild. I crafted Malorne specifically for it (say what you want about crafting a Wild legendary; as far as I'm concerned, with silence all but gone from the meta, he's an all-star).
Went over to check out Wild, it's so much better than standard. Win or lose I don't care, what I don't like is facing the same decks over and over again. With Wild, for the most past, I get to play a huge range of interesting match-ups.
Never thought I'd be saying it, but Wild is where it's at.
Some say Wild is full of OP cards and Standard has versatile meta, but my experience is completely opposite.
I think Wild balanced much better then Standard. Simply due to bigger available card count you can make better decks. Better decks = more challenging = more versatile meta = more interesting.
Dude I'm sorry but you're playing this game wrong. Winning is just a means to an end. The goal of the game is to have fun making cool decks and trying new interactions. I just rank up for the dust and to craft more cards honestly. Ranking up for the sake of winning, using something like zoolock or aggro shaman, just sounds supremely boring to me.
Dude I'm sorry, I don't know when you became the supreme authority on how to have fun, but you're not. Get over yourself. Different people have fun in different ways. Your fun nazi ways sound supremely boring to me.
A) I find it just a tad ironic that you accuse me of arbitrating your fun when you opened your first post by telling us that we need to redefine fun as winning more in order to have more of it.
B) You're absolutely right. I'm a dick. I am in no position to tell you or anyone how they should play the game and what decks they should play to enjoy it. Also looking back at my post I sounded really obnoxious. So for that I apologize.
C) I find your use of the term "fun nazi" counter-intuitive and honestly kinda insensitive. Nazis are anything but fun. (Sorry that was terrible. I'll see myself out)
Agreed, as someone who plays Hearthstone mainly for fun, I definetley have alot more fun playing in wild ranked than in standard, especially when the standard ladder is littered with face hunters and shamans.
Im playing mainly standart not becaus I think it's better or much more fun but actually Im able to obtain cards for that in less grindy way (crafting every single card for wild sucks.....)
The thing about wild is that it exist shielded minibots and muster for battle, piloted shredder, sludge belcher, Dr. 6 Dr.7 followed up with dr. 8.
And if you eat all those secrets, you just get aldored..
So after you finally killed all those doctors and sons of a bitches.. Dr.4 Dr.5 Dr.7s helpers and dr. 8 will come back to life with N'zoth.
nope... just nope.
I'm rank 10 (having laddered in both standard and wild) in wild and barely played any secret pally. Of course if you try to reach legend you face the best decks. Isn't that the same for standard? The difference is that in standard you face aggro even at lower rank, in wild at lower rank you are able to play against a wide range of decks.
I know.. but paladins exist in wild.. if standard hadn't arrived, I would quit the game because of paladins...
Shaman is pretty bad, and I haven't played shaman or zoo since standard arrived... but those paladins man.. I actually shivers while I think about paladins.. brrr
When the separation first hit, I played exactly 3 games of Wild, ALL against secret pally, but I recently tried it again to get some use out of my Herald Volazj and it's a much better "meta" now. Haven't seen a single secret pally in around 30 games, good variety of aggro/mid/control/combo.

No way the salt gets away in wild
Faced 2 spell only priests=entombs, lightbomb, swd, swp, holy nova, healbots+brann, new alchemists+brann
got pretty salty, was almost going to ragequit

Forgive me, friend. I have failed.
I got salty the other day with the standard meta.

Never thought I'd be saying it, but Wild is where it's at.
When I looked up "Ninjas" in Thesaurus.com, it said "Ninja's can't be found" Well played Ninjas, well played.

I'm having a lot of fun playing Wild.

Everything that isn't about elephants is irrelephant.
