I also find wild to be better but lately there have been a lot of secret plaadins which is really the only cancer deck in wild that I hate with a passion. Hopefully it was just an anomaly and today and going forward I'll see more variety like I was used to seeing in wild.
I must say that standard mode has been better since I've switched to a midrange shaman deck. It's pretty strong and deals well with the very predicable meta. Standard mode is all about stupid warriors, shamans and zoo. That's 90% of the meta at ANY rank in standard and it does get boring. Hunters are in the mix too and have the same exact deck over and over. Quite dull.

Ppl just fast climb with effective deck for the ranked rewards at last minute. It's normal. At beginning of new month those who preffer to stay at legend rank all the the time will climb back to it and then it will get back to normal most likely.

It also depends a lot on the rank, also in standard mode!
Below 20 you get everything, including basic decks.
Rank 10-20 you get everything, even basic and budget decks near the lower end, lots of homebrew decks.
Rank 5-10 you get many refined decks, but also some good homebrew decks and some budget decks and niche decks, but mostly refined decks. You need a winrate to get here. Lots of netdecking here!
Rank 1-5: The best winrate decks sail to legend, the worst decks that people try hard to make work get stuck at rank 5, no more bonus stars from win streaks. The most pestilent and least diverse meta. Very uniform because unique decks that work get removed by reaching legend.
Legend Rank: Very diverse near the bottom (Many people stop caring about winrate at this point and play ANYTHING), like a tournament-meta near the top.
This is always true and has to be considered whenever discussing the meta, always say at what rank, the meta depends so much on rank, and even more so in wild mode. (Thumbs up, for forum quest, thanks :) )
As an expert in low ranks I have to disagree. In standard:
Rank 20 and below: only basic/budget decks.
Rank 20-15: some budget, mainly unique decks.
Rank 15-10: net decks (also budget versions of tier 1 net decks).
In Wild I stay on even lower ranks so I have relatively little knowledge about the meta there (partially because of the lack of it), but whatever happens in Standard, happens a few (= sometimes even 10) ranks higher in Wild, except for budget decks, which are kind of skipped.
Rank 20-10: mixture of unique decks and tier 3 and below net decks.
Rank 10+: I've heard there are signs of meta up there, but still lots of unique/weird decks.
I gotta say... Wild surpassed my expectations! All sorts of silly and fun decks in higher ranks... then I play r5 to legend and still saw hugely diverse meta. In my 57 games I saw: zoo, renolock, tempo mage, freeze mage, casino mage, control warrior, patron, pirate warrior, miracle rogue, mill rogue, aggro shaman, n'zoth priest, secret pally, control pally, dragon priest, and midrange hunter.
Was really fun playing against so many archtypes... <3 wild. Or I can just play against dragon warrior and aggro shaman 70% of the time in STD.

No Druid? :'(
TBH in my 57 game climb after r5, druid was the least represented class in Wild. It's a pretty small sample but I think I faced druid decks exactly twice. One was a board flood with sticky minions/egg > savage roar deck, and the other was more focused ramp and big drops. I might be off here, but I think that druid may be the weakest class in wild at the moment, though every class has "viable" decks.

I faced very few Astral Communion Druid rank 10-5, but mostly Paladin and Mage.
In my experience, the match-up is just solidly favored for secret pally, but definitely not landslide (maybe 60:40?). All decks have good and bad match ups! Having good RNG with your anti-secret cards helps, as does being very thoughtful about when you unleash the hounds (really helps punish muster and other early board flood). Learning the match-up and figuring out when you need to go all out face vs try to control board is also key... but of course you know this. Sometimes hunter just gets there with face damage even vs broken curve of secret pally.
If you want to crush secret pally, play aggro shaman or freeze mage. Those were the only two decks in the meta my secret pally had a losing record to... they really dominate the deck in my small sample of games.

No Druid? :'(
I played mostly Wild with the Druid Hero last season, and I play on doing so again this new season too. I'm getting good results with the N'Zoth, the Corruptor Druid deck I'm playing right now.
Can't wait to add Barnes to the mix in the near future haha Good times
dont u miss old sludge belcher and boom mad scientist and creepy challanger also thats why i am playing grim patron (nobody cares but its a lot of fun)
Wild rank 20 is dreadful. Either they play the OP netdecks of before or they concede at the very start of the match (wtf is up with that? happened three times in a row now)
Wild is just SSDF (same shit, different format). People will netdeck the best of the old decks guaranteed. People may think wild sounds like fun, but then they will just encounter people who use all the crap of the past that everyone hated and whined about and remember that nobody is playing wild for fun, they're playing to win. Just like in standard. Shocker.
Nope. No way am I going back to that fuckfest.
Tried it, lost a couple of games to unstable portal, boom bots and shredders and then remembered why nobody wants to play Wild
Tried Standard, lost to trogg+coin+trogg > totem golem > totem golem > tuskarr into totem golem.
Nope. No way am I going back to that fuckfest.
Its very easy laddering fast on standard .. you just need a deck with a good tempo start like rogue ,tempo mage or tempo warrior and then you need a good late game ... seriusly why all people of this community complaimimg about shaman ? If you gain board you won , also for zoo .
Btw i saw a lot of comments talkimg about the only deck in standard ladder are shaman hunter warrior zoo .. problably 50 % but there are a lot of weird decks too .. i play always the weirdest decks like malyrogue and yogg hunter and i have at least 70 % winrate ... so if you know how to play , you have tools for ealry game minion and a good finisher you climb so faaast in standard.. in wild is a bit different , with more deathrattle minions its hard gain easy the board (becouse standard its all about the board) .. btw i would never play wild also becpuse i know perfectly the stamdard meta ,every card ,every deck . Btw i prefear playng 1000 games against aggro shaman that 100 against the old secret pala
I definitely agree with you that there's more room for creative decks in wild that people experiment with, but that's not really going to stop all the "cancer" decks of old like secret paladin (although I guess there's secret eater now? I don't know if those decks are a thing in wild). And let us never forget Dr. Balanced, the paragon of balanced card design.
Play wild they said, Itd be fresh and fun they said.
Playing against Secret Paladin, Face Hunter and Mech mage (with no changes since WoG) is not fun. That's a good 50% of the Meta. Another 30% of the Meta is deck Copy+Pasted from Standard; Aggro Shaman, Dragon Warrior (why?), C'thun Warrior. That only leaves 20% odd for actually interesting decks. And while I am happy to see priest actually seeing playing the constant surge of Secret Pallys and Mech mages just grind me down.

Although there is Darkshire Councilman and Flamewreathed Faceless in Standard, the paragons of balanced card design.
Edited for accuracy

I win due to skill and lose due to bad RNG. :D

I played a good priest deck for the first time in months. I'm never going back to Standard Anduin, I'll never betray you again. ;_;

Forgive me, friend. I have failed.

I'll have to try Wild just because of this quote.
First Deck : Divine Shield Aggro Paladin
Favorite Deck : Mid-range Hunter

There are nearly no secret paladins there: simply because Priest is alive in wild and eats secret paladin as a small snack; thanks to Dr. Lightbomb
