Rank 3 so far! Changed the list up a lot since I started with it. Took away some of the durdlier cards; added more stat sticks.
It does indeed stomp paladin decks! EXCEPT for Baku Paladin, unfortunately, as the matchup is kinda bad if they have a really good curve which they often will. Spiteful is very doable the games where they don't have the t2 Keleseth + top deck nut draws. Same with Cubelock if they don't curve out the weapon; finding enough minions on curve and a Sap/Spellbreaker usually seals the deal. Turn 7~8 lethal most games is pretty sweet, especially for climbing!
Feel free to replace the Spellbreaker with a second Elven Minstrel. Makes for better consistency, and Spellbreaker won't help at all against Cubelock if they draw their legendary weapon. I figure this is less of a Spellbreaker meta and more of a "go big or go home" meta, where everyone really needs to stick to their own game plan.
What makes the deck work, though? I'd have thought 1-mana Rogue power would be kind of useless? I can see more uses for it in Wild as there are cards to take advantage of it.
Rogue hero power is the best hero power in the game, tempo wise. So it is the best turn 1 play you can imagine anyway. Even for 2 mana it is so good that many rogue decks consider that their best play on t2. Also having it for 1 mana is good, if you have good proactive turn 2 plays (2 mana 3/3 (bloodsail raider), Mana Addict), then you can milk your hero power together with Backstab on turn 2 already. I didnt try it, but i can see the archetype workin, thought about something like that myself already.
Trying out this deck atm.. Not a paladin in sight though however a few cubelocks and aggressive hunters have been slain in true rogue fashion.. It's a really cool deck refreshing and fun. The tempo seems really high without being broken I like it a lot.
btw congrats on legend with a non meta deck. Thats how hearthstone should be.

This deck looks really good, will give it a try. But I am wondering if Fan of Knives could improve matchup against Baku Paladin (and also vs Aggro Mage) ?! Did you made the experience that it is not needed?
Fan of Knives in this deck will NOT improve matchup against Paladin for one odd-vious reason.
So how do u deal with turn 6 tyrantus with this '?
You don't either you are far ahead and can ignore it or you just lose to spiteful decks. I had to give up on the deck for now as 50% of all matches currently are spiteful decks :(
every deck is easy to beat as long as you have the luxury of having the needed cards.. Spiteful decks are make it or break at turn 6 if opponent has removal they lose, if not they win.. Today I'm in a bad spot every time I face spiteful decks. Thus giving the deck a break.. (not saying its bad or anything) just stating facts of current situation. :)
Best of luck if you try this deck out! Go stomp some Paladins! It's got the tools needed to beat Cubelocks and Spiteful decks, too!
Edit:
REACHED LEGEND!!! MANY PALADINS WERE SLAIN!!!!!
Edit2: Now try out the exclusive Mad Hatter Edition!
Looks good. I really like Cursed Castaway ability to reload with Minstrel and he takes care of most taunts.

First time legend, baby!!! And with my own brew! So stoked!!!

Goblin Auto-Barber, Tinker's Sharpsword Oil, Naga Corsair.
The archetype can rock even better in Wild, and it could even be a place for Jades to shine.
I'm so happy i crafted Genn.
Cool deck, props.
Gratz on the legend!

Was it actually meaningful to have your hero power cost 1? Seems surprising
What's the winning condition here?
Wow, grats on legend man, very interesting deck.
