We got a lot of new toys which could completely fit in a cool control Shaman. For example we have the new legendary Hallazeal the Ascended, and Thing from Below. And don't forget about the fact that Shaman has probably the most removals in the game! Like an almost free class silence Earth Shock, a broken Hex, powerful board clears and single removals. Are you afraid of overload? We have 4 solutions for it! There are lots of combo possibilites, for example Malygos with cheap spells, or Leeroy Jenkins and Windfury, etc.
Why isn't so much tryhard deckbuilders who can do a really good list? Dumb aggro is too sexy for us? Yeah climb fast and get bored, I don't think it's so cool. I really hope that somebody will make a really broken control Shaman. My best rank ever was achieved with control Shaman (old Reincarnate type) and I want to do it again.
Please do something about Shaman's renown! Share your ideas! :)
I dont think shaman board clears are thay great when compared to pally or priest. Also, outside of hex, shaman does not have much in the way of dedicated removal. Most spells they have are better to go face with. Finally shaman tends to run out cards late gamr due to poor card drae options. All these has lead to aggro shaman being ideal.

Azure drake is neutral, mana tide is 0/3 draw a card ( rarely do you get to draw more than one card), ancestral knowledge is decent but worse than arcane intellect. To tackle the overload issue shaman has 4 options, do 2 damage, or summon a 3/2, and this is fine in aggro, but in control, where you want every card to be a large threat or an answer, these cards are too little impact.
Oh and I'm trying out this crazy idea, but while it sounds brilliant as trump when I thought abt it, the list looks lackluster, hope someone can preach me abt my build:
Your primary board clear is on turn three, which can be useful against aggro decks. Chromaggus is not totally useless, but it tends to be a marginal card. I think even in control you will want to play tunnel trog, as it has overload synergy, as well as unbound elemental of course. You will want double doomhammer, and maybe you can even find room for hammer of twilight. Control shaman will have trouble aganist most other control decks, and will likely have trouble against aggro shaman as well. I think to improve your win rate your going to need some kind of combo finisher, like bloodlust combo, al'akir/rockbitter, or doomhammer/rockbitter.
Elemental Destruction has its own problems, as if you use it on tun 5 or before you don't even have the 2 mana to deal with the overloard, and even if you do have the mana you need the correct card to not skip your next turn. It is decent at clearing the board, however. Also don't forget that priests use excavated evil now. Lighting storm is still the best shaman board clear.
The reason I don't play control shaman is because there are better classes that do it like paladin and warrior.
I think Shaman is a class that encourages tempo gameplay not control. Hex is cheap and Shaman overload cards are lower costed. In order to take advantage of its low mana cost, you need to follow it up with something.

With Elemental Destruction the new legendary become Reno, it is a turn 8 removal, before maybe not the best option.

Priest? i hope you are talking about wild format , cause priest without Lightbomb in standard format has average board clear not "great"....Elemental Destruction on the other hand is amazing...i dont count priest's Wild Pyromancer combos as board clear ..... Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing is cool though but i prefer Elemental Destruction cause sometimes you just miss one of the combo cards you need for the board clear...plus shaman has the best healing in game after paladin ....easily from 10 hp to 30hp
If you did count Wild pyro priest would have a board clear for every damage amount under 5.
Where are your stats to say they just win against these classes? As far as i can tell shaman is not being played on ladder, which tends to mean it has been tried in this meta and has not worked out. The draw mechanics are not as good as other classes, the board clears both have problems, outside of hex the single target removal is damage based with the highest damage I can think of being 5 (lava burst), and then you need to think about how you finish the game. The finisher can be difficult for shaman as a control class, as blood-lust, Malygos, and rockbitter combos can all unwieldy to use. Halazeal is useful, but is less good in control match-ups, compared to say lightlord.
You know you want to watch them attempt to permanently remove skeleton knight until they finally do, only to have to remove it again once N'Zoth resurrects it, with no guarantee of not putting it back into your hand to have to remove again. And possibly again.
I know it sounds obvious, but there's not a lot of control Shaman because midrange and aggro Shaman are both more efficient, effective, and reliable decks, on the whole. Shaman has a lot of really interesting and powerful control tools and swing cards, but ultimately a lot of them can be deployed in aggro and midrange to greater effect, on top of the volume of Shaman cards that already favor aggressive or midrange play pretty exclusively. Further, a lot of the neutral cards that would support control Shaman can do the same thing better in other classes.
That's not to say control Shaman is non-viable and unfun (I personally get a lot of pleasure from playing it myself), but when decks lack consistent, arguably broken core mechanics they tend to drift to the margins.

Playing Hearthstone since Oct 2015. Favourite class: Warlock.
Aaaand I have 99 skills, but the english language ain't one. :D
Because aggro shaman is easier to build and play.

I think there are a few threads out there, this one should be a thread that's discussed most lately

My greatest achievement yet:
Not disenchanting my double Shadowbomber

I'm running a control Shaman on Twitch right now at rank 2. It can definitely be effective in this meta.
Twitch: CrusherHS, Youtube Channel: Hearthstone Crusher
Season 2, 12: Divine Tempo Paladin (Peak NA Legend Rank: 48, 80)
Season 3: Ancestral Control Shaman (Peak NA Legend Rank: 777)
Season 6: Handmage (Peak NA Legend Rank: 301)
Season 7: Deathrattle Aggro Paladin (Peak NA Legend Rank: 135)
Season 10: Deathrattle Tempo Druid (Peak NA Legend Rank: 335)
Season 15: Inner Fire Combo Priest (Peak NA Legend Rank: 1315)
Season 22: Silent Hybrid Druid (Peak NA Legend Rank: 138)
and more...
I literally counter all of what you say with my Dragon Control deck.
And this deck seems to handily counter most control decks I've played against.
I build decks that focus on fun with a dab of competitive thrown in: Thrall, Master of Scales & Shadow C'Nsumes
The reason I don't play control shaman is because there are better classes that do it like paladin and warrior.

Because there are cheaper and more cards that support aggro shaman. Control shaman is awesome, but most people don't like playing 15 Minute games.
Because:
"この 先は 暗い 夜道 だけが も 知らない それでも信じて 進むんだ 星が その道 を 少し でも 照らしてくをるのを"
Come on, you know you want to try it.

Here's my list. Kudos to Mhantra for The Skeleton Knight idea.
