We saw 9 cards like now. Every expansion feel great after the release but after one week if the expansion is bad is shit. By the way, like now, in any case, great in what?
This new expansion will be no different than the current. Same aggressive mindlessness or repulsive OTK awaits, only with different cards. Sorry to spoil your enthousiasm. You seem to be a nice fanboy with little selfrespect. The ideal Blizzards target audience.
*Yawns* Go find a card game where extreme greed is rewarded.
Can you explain to me the Russian humor? I don’t get it
Chef Nomi summons Greasefire Elementals which were translated into russian as "Fat-elementals" basically. Immediately after the card reveal there were a couple of memes with Silvername's face photoshopped to Greasefire Elementals (Fat-elementals) because Silvername being fat is one of the most popular themes among his fanbase.
I spent a good 10 minutes staring at the card trying to figure out what you were referring to. I don't follow the Russian streamers or HS community :(
I was expecting something built-in like the Shudderwock on play line. Nothing says "you're fucked" like when all the opponent's paths lead to your ass
I hate card design like Togwaggle's scheme. Such cards have a great potential for ruining meta like it was with Jade idol, Deathstalker Rexxar.
As a control player i just hate cards which win against non-agressive decks by itself.
Before that card is revealed I had a honest positive attitude, but not anymore. I hoped they wouldn't print broken cards like that.
This card is far from Jade Idol (druid have insanely good draw at that time) or DK hunter.
Druid draw almost the entire deck with ramp and UI before you have draw 1/3 of your deck, so many broken ramp/draw cards who made Jade Idol the problem, not the card by itself, DK hunter get infinite value without losing your draws + being the most undercosted card in this game history.
This new card add minions to the deck but the rogue player have to draw them, it is only a real problem if the win condition of your control deck is fatigue, what need something to counter like everything else.

I'm with you buddy. They always make it so difficult for control. Crazy busted OTKs is one thing, fair enough, combo beats control, I'm totally okay with that. But aggro always has a bunch of super strong decks. Like if you manage to stop them killing you by turn 5 and clear their board, they reload, you reclear, they reload. As if it's not bad enough that aggro is still coming after turn 20 and 4 board clears, then they get to switch gameplan and 'Hey, I suppose I'll just go infinite'. I really, truly do hope that they come to see how killing one of the 3 main archetypes shuts out soooo many players.
But anyways, salty rant over. I'm actually suuuuuper looking forward to this expansion. Soooooo many defining cards leaving standard, it's gonna feel so fresh for a while, and they're way better at speeding in the nerfs these days too, and multiple nerfs per expansion. I honestly think the game's future is looking kinda bright :-)

I agree with you on this one, feels strange they would print such a powerfull anti-fatigue tool. But its for rogue and rogue isn't really a control/fatigue class and doesn't have access to healing and armor. I really hope that it doesn't turn out like jade idol, because Pogo-Hopper is a thing. Actually several copies of Zilliax and several buffed Pogo-Hopper does provide both removal and healing. We'll see I guess
Edit: Actually rogue loses Elven Minstrel and that's a huge hit.
Haven't pre-ordered yet, still considering. Not sure If I'm a big fan of the alt hero for priest, tho I do need one.
The concept of the expansion seems pretty fun, and I'm hoping the solo content is a step up compared to the last 3.
But the thing to be most excited about I think is the standard rotation, we are losing some of the most oppressively toxic cards in the game. I just hope they don't make the same mistakes with the next 3 expansions of going way too far with the powercreep.
Yeah, standard rotation will be massive this time. Too bad we can't yet predict anything what archetypes will stay, but at least we know what archetypes won't make it
I dont wanna judge it for now,but the things i've seen are really interesting. I like the flavor and the atmosphere of this new exp and the new cards are really cool. We will see,but i'm optimistic :)
Remember when they thought it was a good idea to reveal ticking abomination as the first card of the KFT reveal season? Yeah, they really upped their reveal game, that's for sure.
I'm excited. As long as they don't royally fuck up this expansion, they're no way it can be that bad, because the rotation will already have such a good impact on the game. They're given a really great blank slate to add in vanilla "greed" based cards that will no longer have to compete with infinite value, and that's what I'm the most excited for. Kalecgos and Rafaam already do that for me, not to mention togwaggle's scheme.
This new expansion will be no different than the current. Same aggressive mindlessness or repulsive OTK awaits, only with different cards. Sorry to spoil your enthousiasm. You seem to be a nice fanboy with little selfrespect. The ideal Blizzards target audience.
I'm not a fanboy by any means and I've spent $15 on 2 welcome bundles max through 3 years of playing. I'm obviously not the kind of consumer Blizzard wants. I hate what Blizzard has turned into and also I really dislike people like you, sorry. You're a pure elitist and think you're the smartest person on this forum always bringing your negativity to every discussion. Just let people enjoy things dude. Not everyone cares about the future meta, not everyone thinks that skill should be the deciding factor in this game. Some people just want to collect cards and have fun with their collection while laddering from time to time.
The first sentence of this thread is here for a reason
Really, no fanboyism here? You want to have 'fun' (while the past shows time and again only those who don't mind aggression or OTK have fun), you are 'exited', you want to let people 'enjoy' things (while there is little to enjoy with devs deliberately constructing a meta which is win conditions-undiverse, steepening RPS, let classes fall from ladder...), and last but not least 'skill' as a word delivers you a bad taste in your mouth....
Major trait of fanboys' comments: absence of words like skill (as a prime reason to win). Balance is another word you don't see in their comments. Diversity is another one lacking. Fanboys don't think, don't analyze, they just adore. Unfortunately just want have fun, feel good, 'exited', enjoy, only want to be 'happy'....
And I certainly don't want to deny your happiness, but it comes with a price. Through history, in all aspects of life (gaming is just a modern example) this moral attitude (I just wanna have fun, enjoy and feel good) gave usurpators an easy acces to power. From Hitler to Trump harnessed this longing to their own eery benefits with all dire consequence. And don't come with: dude it is just a game.' It is a principle to shut out people by giving the 'fun' longing people what they want..... Enjoy, because thinking gives you wrinkles, right?
And what happened to those who actually were thinking, protesting against unfairness, unjust decisions which resulted from abuse of power? What happened to their writers? They were banned to prison, killed, ridiculed, disenfranchised..... nothing new here.
This same principle is harnessed by Blizzard especially on fora like these: give the fanboy what they want, let them enjoy and they wil ridicule those actually thinking and protesting unbalance, unfairness,... albeit developers stay in power. It's called divide and rule so the target fanboy audience have a proud reason to support them: bandwagon comments and fellow travelers.
So you call me an elitist. Well if elitism means thinking, analyzing, protesting unfairness, unbalance, steep RPS, undiversed win conditions, classes falling from ladder, low skill floor, dominance of aggression and OTK, polarization....well then I'm proud to be an elitist. Luckily I won't be imprisoned, killed as yet. Most likely banned one day from this fanboy invested forum. In the meantime maximally ridiculed by you and your bandwagon kind. With the compliments of devs.
So you call me an elitist. How shall I call you then? An unelitist (if that is even a word). A mindless retard with a decommissioned intellect? Or someone that' s not actually stupid but overwhelmed by a constructed need for an easy winrush?
But one thing is clear: your species of human kind is Blizzards way to make Hearthstone a hell for those who actually want to play a game of skill. And the you'll say: go and play something else. Go leave us alone. And I'll say: why should I give in to your mindless enjoyment? It's a game for everyone right? Or is Hearthstone only to serve your retarded pleasures?
So you say that you are not the costumer Blizzard wants. Well that is what Blizzard wants you to believe. Buying packs is not an epitome of fanboyism. Defending them is. Being a bandwagon commentator is. Your need for a rush is.Your calling me an elitist is...
And of course the salt thing. Calling salt whenever someone challenges devs 'wise' decisions not to give into fanboys wishes is obviously a declaration of lacking self-respect. It is the first thing fanboys come up with when they smell criticism. Fear one day you actually have to think to win your games?
To conclude. I really dig you dude. You just wanna have fun. You just wanna feel good. I recognize I spoil your fun with my 'negativity'. Actually, in return, I recognize my prompting you to think for a change makes you angry. You dislike me. I understand. Waking someone up while he wants to sleep makes angry. But hey it's 7 o'clock and you need to go to school. Remember disliking your parents for that?

Live and let die, bro. You can't change the world to satisfy your needs and wishes, that's something you have to look for alone. That's my advice as a fellow hearthpwner. :)

My deck is greedier then yours so I win IS NOT a game of skill.
Fanboys also have fast entrenched prejudices.
Lmao…. the game has been like that since beta kiddo
Not like this is anything new
A never-ending developers craving for a sustained mindless ranked meta or just the succes formula to attract mainly the EpicAD, Sherman1986 and the Strongpoints of this world ?
