I'm fairly certain that if you have a run open when the arena changes happen your run gets retired. You get all the rewards you would have gotten and a free Arena ticket (I have like 5 now). Personally I'd go for 12 wins, sand keep playing Arena until I'm sitting at 2 losses at any number of wins and then stop playing until the expansion hits.
Since the last patch Arcane artificer doesn't give you armor if you spell have been counterspelled. (UPD: same problem with Mana Wyrm. It doesn't get buff)

There's is a tech for control warrior Mana Reservoir or Spellzerker. You can use your warpath for 6 damage with either of them.

I hate card design like Togwaggle's scheme. Such cards have a great potential for ruining meta like it was with Jade idol, Deathstalker Rexxar.
As a control player i just hate cards which win against non-agressive decks by itself.
Before that card is revealed I had a honest positive attitude, but not anymore. I hoped they wouldn't print broken cards like that.
