I just posted this to the submission page, but every time I read it I trip over the wording and for the life of me I don't know if it's actually awkward sounding or I'm just overthinking it. I'm considering "For each other friendly minion on the battleifled, put a Coin in your hand." or "Put a Coin in your hand for each other friendly minion.", or even simply "For every other friendly minion, put a Coin in your hand." I also don't know if I need the comma or if it should be "add" rather than "put" a Coin to/in your hand.
Battlecry: Put a Coin in your hand for every other friendly minion
I decided to ditch the Paladin card (knowing it may never be balanced) and instead make a Hunter card (which is inspired by Beneath the Grounds). There are two versions: Which one is better? Should it cost (2) instead?
My preferred card is definitely Phalanx. For a 7 mana legendary, Hakkar pretty situational; he's only really good if both you and your opponent have a lot of minions, in which case he gets BGH'd. If you draw him off the top with no board or if your opponent has no board, he's probably worse than Boulderfist or Force Tank Max. Ritual of Knowledge seems like it'd be worse than Sprint most of the time due to the discard clause, plus the fact that, unless you life tap with Fizzlebang in play, a Warlock has no reasonable way to reduce the cost of it, whilst a Rogue can prep out Sprint. Also, y'know, the potential to horribly, horribly mill yourself if you're stupid. Phalanx, on the other hand, seems kinda cool, though perhaps a little underpowered for a class card, considering the existence of Stormwind Champion.
In other news, don't suppose I could get some feedback on my own submission?
I intend to use it for more than just this contest.
My card. Please tell me how much it should cost. (I'm guessing 6 if this is underpriced.)
e.g. You have 4 minions: Each of your minions gain +3/+3.
As others have said, this should be 6 mana. Playing Muster into Hero Power into this would be equal to Quartermaster on an empty board, but if there are any more, this could get out of hand in a hurry.
Now, as for my idea, I tried using this card for an earlier competition but did not submit him then, but here's his second chance with a slightly different mechanic:
This guy excels in aggressive decks where there is a lot of support backing him up. If his support gets killed off, though, he loses his backbone and reveals his true colors - a cowardly wreck. Yes, he will lose taunt at this point.
I wonder, if there is something that requires a maximum number of minions to activate, does it has a limit of 0 or 1, as declared for minimum amount? Or else, I've made a card that works if enemy has 1 minion only:
I know not what to make of this card... seems interesting nonetheless.
My first idea so far and i am not sure about the balancing but the idea is to create a strong minion if you are lacking board presence.
Its a druid card because it fits the idea of a talon attacking out of nowhere :D
Plus providing a beast synergy for the beastdruid
Sweet Sweden, that looks OP. Maybe raise both costs by (1)? Maybe not...
The 4/4 version is better, but it's uninteresting because we already have beneath the grounds. This type of investment card is not the way to go in this meta.
My entry this week. ^^ The art is supposed to be someone holding a coin.
Interesting card, but is it worth the mana? I think it should be 1 mana less and act like a minion preparation. You could play 3 minions, cast this one for 1 mana, then gain basically an innervate, then play an Eviscerate or hold off your Coins for a later time.
Flameborn: A 7/5 with just two minions on the enemy side? Freaking OP. I say this would be more balanced if it would be 2/2 or 1/2, and get +1/+1 per minion. Compare: Lil' Exorcist. And that girl only gets buffs for deathrattle minions, not any and every one.
Heads or Tails: This is somewhat outside the rules, it should instead use number of minions present on the battlefield. For the concept, this basically discounts all minions played by 1 mana in form of a Coin, which in turn enable combo. Good IMHO, and not too OP, as you need to play minions, not cards to get coins.
Gilblin War Mediator: Isn't the body too big for the tempo gained? You freeze the board, get yourself a turn and a 3/4 on top, that's like Frost Nova with a body. But the concept is that frozen minions are not just frozen, but bribed to not attack, is amusing.
Grand Apothecary Putress: There are several versions of this. I'm evaluating a 3/3 body for 3 mana with a conditional Arcane Explosion effect - solid. I wonder if this interpretation plays well with lore, the Apothecary looks like a lot stronger entity than just ping-all.
Immolation: This does not pose a requirement in the text, and by current mechanics it can be played on your side if the enemy does not have minions on board. Also a Void Crusher's targeted inspire effect - could be better for the name. Also with warlock the cost might get increased to 1 - Imp-losion or other token generators make this into "Sacrifice a token: Destroy a random enemy minion" card, the effect is worth 3 mana (Deadly Shot as comparison) and a token is worth 2 (Paladin's hero power to compare).
Fire Nova: Should be reworded to say "Deal 1 damage to all enemies for each enemy minion on the battlefield." Compare the text with Firesworn. Good thing is that this hits the face too, otherwise it'll be an overpriced Lightning Storm. IMHO overload makes this too weak, maybe reduce overload to 1 or drop it.
Evade: I think the text should also be rephrased to "Your next spell costs (1) less for each enemy minion." And probably drop the cost of Evade to 1, in comparison to Preparation which is otherwise better than this if enemy has 4 or less minions in play.
Gust of Wind: Fire Nova without overload. Nuff said.
Lady Rimewind: A Frost Nova, a direct damage and a 7/5 body all in one? This should cost 9, compare to North Sea Kraken for the excess of stats in form of a freeze.
Totem Pole: IMO too weak, except for mirror matches. Should probably be 2/2 base, or even more. Also this ability should be a written Battlecry, and the resultant abomination should probably qualify as Totem (after all it looks like one on the picture).
Kael'thas Sunstrider: I'm out of words for this kid. It looks like "At the start of your next turn, you win the game" more than anything else, worse than Varian Wrynn's best drop, and this is on average. But, it requires allowing enemy a board, though they usually get some dropped creatures anyway. Even one Unstable Portal played already pays for Kael'thas, anything more and you're at a card advantage for free. I say plain broken.
Wall of Death: "Each enemy minion attacks one friendly character at random". What's the reason to make enemy minions instantly attack your side? They can hit face, you know. Can't judge whether it's ever worth putting this card into any deck. If you intended this to be a board clear spell, it should require you have a board first. Probably reverse it to have your minions attack enemies at random, then you go face with your side then play this, and have them trade somehow, potentially going face again for lethal. The submission is valid, but pointless as is.
Southsea Freebooter: This lass makes Salty Dog turn into salt totally. Even on an empty board playing this as combo results in a 4/4 stealth, and should you get enough pirates to put Skycap'n Kragg, this beats Anub'arak for usefulness. Strong, borders OP but isn't OP as usually you won't pull more than a 6/4 out of her, and there's Volcanic Drake already that can be a 6/4 for 4 with preparations.
Chain Lightning: Should be (0), "Deal 1 damage to all enemies for each minion on the battlefield. Costs (1) more for each minion on the battlefield." But, there is no wording yet for dynamic overload, so maybe rewording is superfluous. I think that overload should instead be static, say (3).
Druid of the Talon: A perfect weapon for a ramp druid, and it's too easy to overextend into this. I say VERY OP, as a 6/5 charge is worth at least 7, compare Reckless Rocketeer as the only comparable charge card with enough damage. Native minion is decent, though I'd say a 5 mana 6/5 is a tad too much, while stat-wise it's in line with Pit Fighter.
Grimoire of Sacrifice: A strictly better Twisting Nether that requires a board, and also deals face damage. That board can be provided by Imp-losion or Dreadsteeds. I say broken, but not too broken. Probably deal 1 damage per minion destroyed plus 1 for the warlock himself.
@BrokenCycle At first glance, I thought this card looked way too situational, but you know what? with the new totem shaman, it's actually realistic to have a finisher like this. The only thing I might suggest is bring it down a couple mana (and price it accordingly), so that you have a bit more flexibility with playing this with other minions.
@nobravery i don't think it'll be considered trolling, but I don't know how good the card will actually be.
@Halfast I think you've underpriced it just a tad. You're opponent only needs to have 2 minions on the board for this to be worth, as it's got an identical effect to consecrate at this point. However, no one plays AOE at 2 minions any way, at the very least you wait until 3. I'd price it somewhere around 5 or 6 mana.
@Knackstone Very cool concept, but it's way overpriced. The damage is only worth 1 mana, so you need at least 3 spell damage minions to get straight vanilla value. Especially since you stated it as Spell damage minions, so cards with multiple spell damage (Like Malygos) still only count as 1. I'd suggest raising the damage to 4, and making the cost scale down with spell damage, not just spell damage minions.
Pyromancy: 4 mana, Deal 2 damage. Costs (1) less for each friendly minion with Spell Damage.
I say overpriced, there are not too many spell damage minions worth playing, and most don't stick, but combos well with Wee Spellstopper. Maybe drop cost to 3.

Actually it's "the Coin". See Cutpurse. Otherwise it seems correct.
Yeah, I actually did notice that but having it say "For each other friendly minion, put the Coin in your hand." sounded awkward to me since "the Coin" sounds singular when it's more likely than not you'd be getting more than one. It actually doesn't sound so bad to me now, on passing, but I do wonder if it'd be confusing regardless.
Wanted to give Demons a tool to survive against boardfloods, much like Twilight Guardian helped Dragons. Made her a 5-drop since Warlocks already have stuff to play on 4.
My first idea was this: http://i.imgur.com/aN8SCOx.png, but I didn't like the Battlecry because Voidcaller is out there. Worked with the stats a bit and ended up with her:
Gotta love the Flavour text:She's so lazy she doesn't start seducing untill 2 victims are around. :D
What do you guys think about the stats/necessity of such card?
Interesting idea, I think the balance is perfectly fine
Flavor : "Nothing looks more demonic that one big, hot, monstrous BBQ..."
Summon : "FLAME ON !"
Attack : "BURN !"
Death : "Back to ashes..."
=> My contribution to this week's contest ;)
Thoughts ?
Simple and very good card! Good for warlock especeally vs aggro. The only thing i can say about it is: The text could be: Taunt, then the battlecry, sounds weird "gain taunt"
I think you've got the wording a bit wrong, Jinzua. Drop that Taunt before Battlecry (it can't get multiple taunts anyways) and it should read 'health' instead of 'life'. Apart from that, rather weak minion, even with 3 enemy minions it's just 4/8 taunt, which - for 6 mana - is nothing amazing. The concept is interesting though, I like how we both came up with a demonic taunt for Warlocks ;)
I agree a bit, it's a good card in my opinion, can be very efficient, but for me there's no reason to be an epic etc. But anyway it's a very good card.
I just want to check before i submit, is this card legal, or does it not meet the entry requirements? I tried making a mashup of Gormok's, Lil' Exorcist's effect but with minions that are frozen, and gaining charge instead. Obviously it aims to synergise with Cone of Cold, Frost Nova, and Blizzard. If it does meet the entry restrictions, any comments or improvements would be appreciated.

My only problem with it is the conflict of ideals. Just like how Armored Warhorse isn't used due to the fact that aggro wants charge, and aggro runs small minions, this card would probably not see much play. HOWEVER, that's not to say that it wouldn't, and it is a very unique card.

I think it should cost 6 normally cause it's such a huge effect that it should be slightly below average if you aren't getting the cost reduction. Druid plays a lot of control/slower decks anyways so it's not that crazy that Druid wouldnt have many minions. Either that or make it cost reduction 3. Other than that cool idea.

Thanks guys, I fixed it. I still don't think it's a weak minion - sure, it certainly wouldn't be favored over Thaurissan or Sylvanas in most decks - since 12 points of stats and Taunt for 6 is... well, better than Toshley, who has a good body for his mana cost.
I was compelled by the idea of a taunt demon, and potentially another value card for Handlock.

Thanks for the feedback, I've always wanted a more aggressive freeze deck with snowchuggers and Water elementals that just holds off enemy minions with freeze whilst going for face, and this is the kind of card that it'd need. I'll think it over for while for improvements , but I'll probably post the card as it is.

Turn 10 this + Feral Spirit?
My attempt at a review of cards on the last page:
Flameborn: A 7/5 with just two minions on the enemy side? Freaking OP. I say this would be more balanced if it would be 2/2 or 1/2, and get +1/+1 per minion. Compare: Lil' Exorcist. And that girl only gets buffs for deathrattle minions, not any and every one.

Why Feral Spirit when you can use Tuskarr Totemic with probably greater effect? And trade your Haunted Creeper if you don't have seven. Hehe. I say cool.

My mind was still in before TGT era. Still, your Haunted Creeper idea is way better!
