Shouldn't this be a beast, aren't krakens categorized as beast in WoW? It would give it a bit of synergy for what its worth.

Liked this card when I first started playing.

It's all about tempo. Being able to remove a midrange threat and developing a large minion is a great way to make a push in the late game. Many times playing kraken will set up lethal if your opponent cannot remove it. You can also send the 4 damage to face :)

No longer in standard or area though.

I like this more, a witty reference to "Release the Kraken!"

i lost 2 arenas because 2 guys drafted 2 of these in their decks, lucky F's 

1 word why this card is at the very top of neutral common (along with pioleted shreder) but never seen in constructed.

Let's be honest - it's one of the best fat drops you can get in the arena. :)
Unfortunately I can't imagine playing it in constructed :(

Why is this not a beast?! Could've shined brightly in a hunter deck (houndmaster + timber wolf + charge from tundra rhino)

I think this is an absolutely great card, but why isn't it a Beast? D: It would actually make sense from a lore perspective and Control Hunter/Beast Druid would love it.

This guy is literally a Fire Elemental and a half (with those pesky decimals rounded down).

Very powerfull in arena

One of those cards that, while not used at all in constructed, is amazing in Arena. According to HearhtArena's tier list it has surpassed Piloted Shredder as the best neutral common in the game, and with good reason: this card is basically a neutral Fire Elemental, which HearthArena rates as the best class-specific common. Like Fire Elemental, this is a card that's good whether you're ahead or behind, and provides a huge swing in a format based primarily around minion trades, since you can play a minion and remove a minion with a single card.

Seriously AMAZING arena card.

1 hour later EU dead. Dont mess with Kraken.

Rejoice! Flavor text and golden animations are released! This guy actually has a pretty good animation for not having amazing art to begin with; I love how it shows the ripply water effects and opening/closing the jaw.
