Opponent has Mal'Ganis ... I have five on the board. Drop this guy. Kills his Mal'Ganis ... kills my Dreadsteed. He concedes. In tavern brawl this week. Probably one of the few times this has ever won a game.
This + Imp-losion is good combo.....
6 Mana for a 5/4 that can kill itself???
"WTF IS THIS??!??!?? WTF IS THII-IISS??!??!??"
Like all cards, this card is not going to work in every deck. In a deck set up for it, it's good :)
Running death rattle and/or imps the cost of losing a minion can be almost nothing.
Deadly Shot Benefit: destroy minion Cost: card - 3 mana
Void Crusher Benefit: destroy minion + your minion Cost: card - 6 - 2 - your minion
You can look at this more than one way. Maybe you wanted to use your hero power anyway. If this is the case then you can look at it as a cost of 3 extra mana with the chance of greatly upgrading an imp to a Void Crusher.
The real advantage of this card is that (uplike Deadly Shot, Assassinate or whatever) the Crusher stays in play.
Your opponent must now do something about the Crusher or it repeats.
In one game my opponent just passed turns doing nothing. I think they had some big legendary they did not want in play. So the Crusher can be like a stalling tactic, you don't actually need to use it's ability.
It's pretty bad when you consider it's stats are normal for a 4 drop, and you have to pay 2 more mana for a crap shoot effect.
Really useful against Highlord Omokk on Heroic. You're already building your deck around the restriction of having random minions killed, so this card helps a lot more than it hurts.
Void Crusher can destroy itself.
Are you guys sure about that? coz i used him like billion times and it never kills himself when i have another minion on the board. if i have 1-1 on the board it always kills that. not other big ones.
or its just my luck?
It's your luck, I'd say. Embrace it - you're lucky with this guy!
Same here!
I just thought I was real lucky. I only have 1 Void Crusher and I have not used him a billion times yet but still... he has never killed himself when he had other options.
Is it not the same for all of you?
Played Wesley on a board with boombots and imps. Could not have asked better.
He promptly killed himself after taking a dragon's life.
Couldn't cope with it, he has a great heart.
Too unstable. I can see it in play with a full board of either Imps or Dreadsteeds, or anywhere with Kel'Thuzad on board, but anywhere else, it's a Deadly Shot cast on their side of table for
68 mana. One, yep. Yes, you can use him as a 8-mana counter to a Deathwing, but why bother if you can have Siphon Soul? Its only upside is that it can hit minions in stealth, like Ravenholdt Assassin or Shade of Naxxramas, but these should be taken care of by different means (ahem Shadowflame)."Destroy a random enemy minion" actually is worth 3 mana if you can't destroy weapons; see Deadly Shot.
Does he kill himself?
Yes, he is as eligible a target for destruction at his own hands as any other minion.
This card is bad
Wil Wheaton feels very proud.
