Please, tell me, how to activate a Cube in turn 5 is any kind of "slow"?
But the user has a point. How do you picture this in rogue? With a cube? Well, what are you going to cube? What other DWs are you planning to run.
Shadowblade is arguably better than this and it only saw fringe play back when miracle was still popular (and Patches was still strong). The new rogue weapon is really mediocre, almost bad. If this was implemented in WotoG, then yes, I would have agreed. But rogue currently can't support a slow arch-type and the standard DWs can't really pressure the opponent.
So once again, what synergies are you seeing?
This weapon in 3, attack if need, turn 4 Pinata vs control or 2/3 3 armor beast + eviscerate vs aggro, turn 5 Cube and weapon attack getting a lot of value or survavility, it is not the fastest play but I don't call slow.
But for me the best for this weapon is turn 3 weapon attack and remove a minion, turn 4 coin the new legendary discover something like Cairne or another summon in deathrattle and attack again, here is the best tempo play you can get, remove two opponent minions, get two in board.
Ok, I hate talking about something and not mentioning any examples.
So here are the current DW minions and here are the ones from the upcoming expansion. Let's Roll the Bones.
From the current DW minions I would probably make a deck w/ Cairne Bloodhoof, Carnivorous Cube, +/- Rotten Applebaum, Kobold Illusionist, Devilsaur Egg, Bloodmage Thalnos, +/- Plated Beetle. There are also other fairly good DW minions (Sherazin, Corpse Flower), but the problem is there isn't a connection between them except their on-death effect. Some of them give you health, others cards or board presence. You can probably make an egg deck, but imho that's kinda slow. In the Boomsday project Myra Rotspring comes to mind - she isn't a bad minion on her own, but the problem is, that she's too slow for a rogue.
I know, I know - we should wait until we see the rest of the set, but this also goes for you guys as well.
[edit] But, fuck me. Someone is going to make a tempo deck and I'll probably eat my words.
Roll The Bones is crap, believe me I really try to make this card work.
You don't need a full deathrattle deck with pathetic weak cards like Roll The Bones or Spellstone, just put x2 of this new weapon, some good Deathrattle minions and you ready to go, this card make Valeera finally have good survavility with 2/3 beast and 4/5 taunt restore 4 life, fix the major weakness of the class, if you play vs control, Pinata + New Legendary + this weapon is very good enough value generator.
- Rogue has plenty of tools against control. Either Tess Greymane, Pick Pocket, Academic Espionage, Pogo-Hopper and the list can go on and on. The Weaponized Pinata is kinda useless since it only generates a random card, which might not always be in your favour (either the minion will be too expensive or it won't synergize w/ your deck like Clutchmother Zavas or it will be a vanilla body like Baku the Mooneater). So imho there are a lot better tools for rogue against control decks and the DW minions aren't that impressive enough w/o N'Zoth, the Corruptor.
- The things you have mentioned might not be the slowest plays, but my question is - Can they compete with the current popular rogue decks? Is playing a weapon, followed by a DW minion better than a Hench-Clan Thug with a weapon attack on turn 3, followed by a 3-drop and a Cold Blood or Fal'dorei Strider on turn 4? Is Carnivorous Cube better than Fungalmancer?
All of this makes me think, that a DW rogue deck can't really make the cut. I can be mistaken though, but only if someone makes a tempo variant of this idea.
Rip the last remaining exclusive identity of the Hunter class (triggering Deathrattles). This card has a lot of potential.
Rogue also had plenty of tools for DWs. Maybe not such, which could trigger those effects on their own, but still there were some nice synergies to go along those minions (Unearthed Raptor).
... and a nice set up. Those are 7 cards in summary and a TTK. I'm not making a joke about it - Elven Minstrel is still present, but rogue only needs to get a powerful tutor card for spells and this will work.
I really want to sneak out Malygos to shuffle six copies in the deck and combo Dollmaster Dorian, Preparation and Myra's Unstable Element into 6 Malygos copies with 3 open mana to do over 9000 damage. Or close to that :D
This weapon definitely makes it more likely to control your deathrattle timings :)

How about 4 manas draw 4 spells from your deck costing 0, 1, 2 and 3.
If druid can have broken OP bullshit like that why rogue not?
Cool. I love deathrattle triggers. Yeah, it’s gonna make for a slow deck that probably can’t handle aggro (though there is a ton of healing potential with Deranged Doctor, but it’s a fun casual archetype.
garbage. rogue cant afford to play slow deck like this
It fits into any rogue deck though. Aggro can play it with eggs. Miracle can trigger illusionist for maly or mecha'thun even. I mean bloody hell this card suddenly became one of the best deathrattle activators in the game and people still trying to call it bad?
Huge tool for Deathrattle Rogue. I don't see this as a Tier 1 deck, but it will certainly have a shot!

And to think you still have 3 mana left for another sinister strike/ eviscerate.
Let's get some stuff out of the way:

[edit] Roll the Bones - I just wanted to make a joke.

(1) Sinister Strike - 8 Dmg
(1) Sinister Strike - 8 Dmg
(2) Eviscerate - 9 Dmg
(2) Eviscerate - 9 Dmg
Total- 34 Damage. Seems cool.
That's what I do; I drink and I know things.

U can make some insane stuff with this. But we'll have to see, if it's consistent enough. If it's too broken a weapon removal meta will just come back
My brother and I both got legend - and he climbed to 316 with it. Check out our guide!
This will be very good in Dane's wild big rogue deck, I'm sure he will approve of this card.
Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.

so how does this combo work. surely it can't all be played on one turn?
Naw, that's a bad play. Don't forget to Backstab your Kobold Illusionist.
3/1 weapon
(4) Kobold Illusionist
Destroy weapon
1/1 Malygos
(0) Backstab Kobold Illusionist
1/1 Malygos
(1) Sinister Strike - 13 Dmg
(1) Sinister Strike - 13 Dmg
(2) Eviscerate - 14 Dmg
(2) Eviscerate - 14 Dmg
Total- 54 Damage. Now that seems cool.
Auto-include card for Rogue, from now until forever.

This all feels a bit silly now that Mecha'thun has been revealed lol
It fits into any rogue deck though. Aggro can play it with eggs. Miracle can trigger illusionist for maly or mecha'thun even. I mean bloody hell this card suddenly became one of the best deathrattle activators in the game and people still trying to call it bad?
Nevermind, just realized that Mechathun himself counts as a minion and this weapon won't work on him most likely. Maly still good though.
