EDIT: I should have added that it is way underhyped. BEST HP EVER.
>Second highest rated card of the expansion at 58% meta-defining
>Way underhyped
Something that I think is actually underhyped is Emerald Hive Queen. It could be strong in slower decks and works well with Dinomancy, since the latter is a spell with no immidiate impact.
Its just too slow and too conditional to see any play. Its forces you to fill your deck with weak cards and survive at the same time. And your win condition is some kind of a combo requiring you to hold on to numerous cards.
Most Quests; Mainly because losing a card and tempo in the early game is a big deal, seems to be too overlooked by most people.
For the Mage Quest, the OTK people are talking about is too complex to pull off/too slow.
Hunter Quest will be decent, but not has gamebreaker OP has lifecoach suggest. The deck has weakness; offer no comeback mechanism/no hard removal and its an aggressive deck that will always start behind on tempo (have to play T1 quest)
Druid Quest is bad. This type of deck will be greatly unfavored vs agro, vs control its not as great as people think, it has no mass board clear to comeback, no hard removal, will have clunky opening hands.
Rogue Quest and Warlock quest won't be viable. No quest will be metadefining.
Dinomancy will be too slow for what Hunter decks are trying to accomplish.
Envenom Weapon force you to take too much damage as Rogue, won't be viable.
Otherwise, many high cost card like the Hunter legendary Swamp King Dred because they are too slow. In that vain, Tar Lord is pretty bad, also it has to huge of a drawback on your own turn not being to do efficient trades and push damages matters.
Underrated:
Bittertide Hydra will be oppressive reminiscent of Fel Reaver. Might be wong on this one though, depends if there is a lot of Zooish decks on ladder.
I predict that the sleeper card of this set (that people only right off has an arena card) will be Vicious Fledgling. This card must be remove immediately otherwise it will snowball out of control (moreover if you can pick windfury) . Might see play in Beast Druid and Hunter.
Idk to which extend they are underrated, but Primordial Glyph, Hallucination and the 2 new neutral murloc are very strong.
Its just too slow and too conditional to see any play. Its forces you to fill your deck with weak cards...
Let see...
Babbling Book = Very Good, a card from 1 mana minion is better than playable.
Kabal Courier = playable.
Primordial Glyph = Best mage spell ever made.
Cabalist's Tome = Very good vs control but bad vs aggro because the tempo loss = playable.
Shimmering Tempest = 2/1 for 2 manas and a card + elemental synergy, gnome always be a playable card and this one is like him = playable.
Mukla, Tyrant Of The Vale = Meh, this one is the few cards not so good maybe people use for the 2 spells, I give this one for your argument but not so much = weak?
How is the Quest Mage too slow ? It's just the new Freeze...
Freeze Mage is a lot more refine. It doesn't have have to play a card that does nothing in the early game. Doesn't have to include random card generator and be force to cast them (you will have also have to cycle a lot like freeze mage, which will make your hands very clunky) and their combo cards are more versatile, burn can be used has removal, but the arcane giants will sit dead in your hands, also they don't bypass taunts.
The Quests in standard will be mediocre but in wild they will make many decks that are currently good, significantly better than decks without quests. An example of this is wild murloc quest shaman which I predict will be the new cancer.

I completely agree. Dinomancy will be a good card in certain Hunter decks but not an autoinclude. Emerald Hive Queen is an amazing anti-aggro card and the long-awaited new Zombie Chow, will be used in all control decks. Definitely the ultimate underdog of this expansion.
Lyra the Sunshard is massively UNDERhyped. You'll save your useless spells like you did with the Golden Monkey until it's time to cash them in, except in this case you get actually useful cards. Name me more than 1 Priest spell that isn't at least pretty good in some way.

I completely overlooked that one. Didn't realize it'd be another adapt every time it attacks; that is sick if you land a windfury first. And it's a three mana, so Hunter can really beef it up on curve with a turn 4 Houndmaster if it sticks.
People never really mention Emerald Hive Queen but it can destroy pirate warrior by messing up their precious early game curve. If you are a more late game oriented class this most likely does not affect you, and after its death you can probably start safely playing some taunts.

How exactly? It's only your minions that cost 2 more.
I agree, particularly if water rogue sticks around in the new meta. Synergy with The Curator, more utility than Jungle Panther, and curves nicely into Shadow Sensei, especially after the loss of Silent Knight.

Oh, i thought it was all minions. Well it looks like that card is just terrible 100%
Spiritsinger Umbra - this card seems to be the most hyped card of the set, but it will be very bad in practice because most Deathrattles are very marginable or cost a lot of mana, so even if you wanted to combo it with Cairne Bloodhoof or Aya Blackpaw, you need to keep them in hand for another 4 turns instead of just playing them since a 4 mana 3/4 will be easily removed when you play it on its own and is a lot worse then a 3/5 like Fandral Staghelm. Deathrattles are also slow by nature, so even in the dream case of Spiritsinger Umbra + Cairne Bloodhoof you only developed 3 mid-sized minions that don't have any impact on the game at that point. People like to compare it to Brann Bronzebeard, but he is cheaper and Battlecries are much more impactful or can add Value to your hand, which Deathrattles don't do, so Umbra is a lot worse. Sure there might be a Combo-deck that will use her, but she is by no means a strong standalone card or worth crafting as the first Legendary of the set.
I completely disagree with this. I'm not saying that Umbra is going to make certain decks or dominate the meta, but I think it will be so generally useful that it will find it's way into TONS of different decks, and will be very impactful in them.
The reason, I think, isn't that it will have some crazy combos like Cairne or Aya, but because it will make certain early game deathrattles impactful even when you draw them late. The first ones that come to mind for me are: Mistress of Mixtures (8 health for 1 mana!), Loot Hoarder (2-mana Arcane Intellect with a body), Undercity Huckster/card], [card]Jade Swarmer (now not a completely horrible card), even Crystalline Oracle or Bloodmage Thalnos (of course, useful any turn you draw it, but now with insane value).
I'm not sure it would fit in a deck, but imagine using Moat Lurker and Umbra on any of the cards above. The interactions are crazy. On a swarmer, you get a golem, a new swarmer, and then when moat lurker dies, you get another swarmer. Also, Umbra works when they are "summoned" not just played, so if Umbra is around when your Lurker dies that's another Golem. Even Onyx Bishop could summon a deathrattle that Umbra would trigger as it is summoned.
Overrated - Open the Waygate

Underrated - Swamp King Dred and Pyros

Idk to which extend they are underrated, but Primordial Glyph, Hallucination and the 2 new neutral murloc are very strong.
Primordial Glyph is very powerful, aside from his versatility, you can get huge tempo play like a T5 Firelands Portal, also you will sometimes get double discount with Sorcerer's Apprentice on play or double buff on Mana Wyrm.
Otherwise, aside from the bad very costly elemental like Frozen Crusher and Stormwatcher, most elementals are strong and will see play.

And don't forget one thing.
Random spells are bad, random mage spells don't, the majority of mage spells are useful/good/awesome and very few are bad.
Play random mage spells is far better than play random class cards you get with rogue.
The Quests in standard will be mediocre but in wild they will make many decks that are currently good, significantly better than decks without quests. An example of this is wild murloc quest shaman which I predict will be the new cancer.
Everyone talking about hunter and druid quests...THOU FOOLS
