It is that time of year again, spooky things are coming to Hearthstone and everyone's favourite game mode will get even more crazy. Dual Arena is coming!
When you start an Arena run during Hallow’s End, you’ll choose a Hero, then a Hero Power, and the cards offered in your picks will feature cards from BOTH of those classes, in addition to neutral cards. And don’t forget, you’ll get a free Arena ticket just for logging in, so there’s no excuse not to attend the party!
Note: the first class you choose is the one that Discover pool will draw from, might make a difference for cards like Primordial Glyph or Arcane Dynamo, be aware!
Please use this thread to talk about the event itself only.
In the upcoming dual arena, what do you think will be the strongest combination, have the best synergies etc?
I'm thinking warrior/mage with paladin because of paladin having the strongest cards but not really being able to play it well b4 you get knocked down to 0 health.
I merged your thread with our sticky, Eliaspete96. We will be gathering any stragglers here anyway, so yours might as well start the discussion :)
To your question: im not too sure it will be as obvious as last time, im pretty sure there were no power level buckets back then yet, right? I think this will play a major role in what combo will be the best. Obviously the hero power will play one role, so the usual mage/rogue/pally will be pretty good pick ups, but overall i think it will be all about what kind of meta will emerge and which classes have the right cards in the lower power level buckets so you pick them up more often.
Im also interested to see, if they make any changes to power buckets for the time being at all, or if they take the opportunity to fuck with it for the hell of it. Or if they make a ninja adjustments without telling us. I guess all we can do is to play the game and discover that from our experiences :)
Druid's ramp plus shaman's overload. My worst nightmare.
To be honest, ramp isnt rly a good way to draft druid in arena, you cannot guarantee to have a use for it, nor to have enough card draw to justify it. Sure, you can make an insane ramp deck if you get lucky, but like i said, not the best strategy most of the time :)

Bloodbloom is also not a card to draft today but the event change things
It's definitely going to be fun, although it won't be as easy as last year since we don't have deathknights this year :p. Maybe I can draft jarraxus again though haha

Exactly. Dual arena offers some cards to become interesting. Im not gonna say great, cause it is still arena and if you plan on drafting your deck to be based around combos that require multiple cards, that is still probably a bad idea, but it can for sure make for some memorable moments :)

So ... pick rogue! :D But yeah, what im more worried is the power level buckets, but we wont know more until we play a game or two. I just hope it wont be like Lich King in every other deck and stuff like that.
Oh no, I just noticed something. What if someone drafts double druid????????!!!!!!!!
The world will come to an end.
Doomsayer was right, he was right all along
(sarcasm if you can't tell)
I get ur not serious, but for anyone who would be wondering, no, you cannot pick the same class twice :) That would be like playing a standard arena :)
I'm picking every Hello, Hello, Hello I come across :D
I don't normally play arena but it'll be a nice break from deckbuilding and climbing ladder with every off-meta deck i make >.<

Why would you pick a nerfed card, and unfortunately if you mean new Paladin hero, you can’t use him in arena until event ends, because you will get Uther in a costume no matter what your default hero for Paladin is. Hallow end arena event uses special hero portraits...

Mage/Priest? or Priest Mage
Does anyone remember what the good combination from last year
As far as I remember Rogue with Druid or Hunter was seriously strong.
I think Mage with Druid will be pretty daft this time around though.
hunter / warlock
because hunter has some pretty nice aggro cards, and with the warlocks hero power they never run out of steam.
it would basically be a zoolock but with hunter cards.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.

I was thinking zoolock and agro druid combination. Until I remember warlock's defile and hellfire.
BTW somehow your DONT PANIC signature, make me panic lol.
Druid's ramp plus shaman's overload. My worst nightmare.

Druid Warlock since you can UI turn 1.
Coin or Innervate > Bloodbloom > Ultimate Infestation = you only lose 5 health because you will gain 5 armor.
This will happen, dont worry :D But i think the more "reasnable" is Bloodbloom > Free From Amber T2, which will just win you the game on the spot :x
