It is stupid because it is stupidly unbalanced without banning specific cards. Shaman can try Lightning Bloom, Ancestral Knowledge and Snowfury Giant, Druid can play Embiggen and Patches and whoever goes first wins on t1 unless they get a very unlucky draw. I'm not aware of any other class that can win on turn 1
They don't win on turn one, they win on turn two, and Mage beats it with Ice Block, Ancient Mysteries, and Fireball, which seems to be the strongest deck in this brawl.

I saw that Shaman overload deck but with Snowfury Giant instead of Tunnel Trogg. Couldn't figure out what he was doing between the crystal gain and drawing until he dumped five 8/8s on me on turn 3.
Problem with this brawl is that before the new reward system, you'd want to get wins asap, to get more gold. That doesn't work anymore, quick kills give very low XP and you're better of playing longer games.

What's a good deck to stall?
Stalling? Ice block, I'd wager. Block, mysteries, fireball seems sensible enough (or replace ball with a freeze to stall without wincon), though you're not getting long games because they'll concede most of the time, I suspect.
Dunno, had no issues with them with lock (soulfire, malch imp, and silverware, though should have been fist instead of silverware, really, in retrospect - just threw some obvious stuff together). Probably looking for a quick block and then fireball spam or similar.

I've had a great time with cloak of shadows, evasion, and wicked stab. you just use evasions to block all the early damage and stall until you can otk them with 5 wicked stabs (or almost otk if they have armor)

Arcane Missiles
Black Cat
Cinderstorm
worked for me.
This seems pretty slow compared with
Counterfeit Coin
Secret Passage
Edwin VanCleef
If you're lucky you can get two enormous Edwins out on turn 1.
I just play a quick game against my alt account, get the pack and out of there
Firemancer Flurgl + Toxfin + Lightning Bloom beats most minion strategies. especially the fast ones like patches and giants
Incanter's Flow
Refreshing Spring Water
Fireball
Oh, yeah. That's solid. Totally forgot about secret passage.
Go hard or go home
Yes, this is a mage party. It can draw too many fireballs too early, but can consistently OTK on turn 4.

Ooh, I liked this one:
The Soularium
Fist of Jaraxxus
Silverware Golem
Anyone else totally love this brawl? Gonna go for 500 wins on this one.

Though other fun ones are:

Why is everyone playing Mage? Are they daft?

AOkay, I think I have found a deck that is actually fun to play!!
Renew
Circle of Healing
Auchenai Phantasm
(optionally Embrace the Shadow, but it is worse)
It CAN beat druid, shaman giants a lot of the time.
It also beats flurgl + toxfin
And best of all, it actually has a card with the word discover in it!!
