I think Sonya is a ridiculously good rogue card. Just because she’s not ‘meta’ doesn’t mean a thing. All that means is that sheep are uncomfortable playing something that they don’t see other sheep playing. The key to her use is all in the timing. She can essentially double as a Grumble, Worldshaker if you play her right, and with rogue’s even more powerful combo effects, you can wreak havoc!
oh i remember my first legendary, i had purchased starcraft for my birthday and of course it came with a code for a pack in HS so i wanted to give the game a try , downloaded it figured out how to put the code and boom first pack ever King Krush so i have been playing ever since :) that was around blackrock release.
So many of my legendaries have been bad or very average pulls, twig of world, moorabi, master oak, zola, professor putricide, voraxx, sindragosa (I don't have jaina), Valeera hollow, DK rexxar (I know some people like it but I don't really play hunter at all)
My only classic legendary is al'akir windlord after I dusted king krush for some idiot reason ages back QQ
I crafted aluneth which has seen a lot of use.. the only drop Ive had which has seen any real competitive use in my decks been using in my decks is Lyra which is super fun! I use DK anduin sometimes as well, but very rare
I'm so overdue a classic legendary though now.. fingers crossed
On a side note, no joke, I set up a random account and did the missions just as a test and pulled a golden alexstaza in my first five free packs.. never touched the account again
We all have been there, opening packs and you get graced with a legendary card. Oh the joy of the sound when it opens, the noise, the voice - then you look closer, and....its that legendary. For me recently, it was Sonya Shadowdancer. Now unfortunately my Rogue decks are severely lacking updates (I believe my decks are post Patches nerf) and I do have some cards to work up a deck, but boy would I have wanted a different one.
What time did you get that legendary and ended up being one that was so so, could be used, but not really?
I love Sonya, personally feel shes way better than what she seems and can do some crazy shenanigans
My two first legendary cards were Millhouse and Tinkmaster (post nerf). I remember the feeling seeing this orange light all around the card; "omg, finally I'll get freaking Ysera or something".. And I got those. God I hated them. Then I opened a golden Aviana a bit later, thanks to her 1600 dust I was finally able to craft a decent deck and stand a chance on ladder (I'm f2p).
But yeah usually I get crap, I remember getting Lana'thel at the beginning of KotFT... Such a disappointment. (But my free DK was Gul'dan, which disappointed me too at the time, but now I'm more than pleased!)
In gvg i openee a golden hemet as my first legendary... being free to play i used him in hunter, so so bad. I laughed at the idea of my opponents face seeing a golden hemet drop down.
I feel your pain, I myself have pulled Reckless Flurry 7 times in this expansion.....Not to mention Bladed Gauntlet 5 times. I don't play warrior but I feel like Blizzard is trying to tell me something...
At least we are not living in the dark ages of opening legendaries one already own :) Damm how many duplicates have I dusted through time...
We just live in the slightly-less dark age of pulling the same Epics over and over lol. I still don't own a good portion of the Classic Epics, but I've pulled Ancient of Lore like six times. I've been playing since Vanilla D:

Golden King Togwaggle. Honestly, my golden legendary history is a good example of how much RNGesus loves to troll me.
As for Sonya Shadowdancer ---- do NOT DE this card. She was my first craft on launch and she's incredible.
Oh I have no intention of dusting her, will fit her in somehow. I don't have a golden king T but I have just the regular, just sitting in my collection....

Sonya is great in quest rogue and with the slower meta quest rogue is not half bad. I don't jump for joy over every legendary i get from a pack but I always try them out at least once.......i think my biggest disappointment was Archbishop Benedictus, I didn't really want him and I got excited because I thought he was the priest DK at first.....but alas I got a meme legendary......
Yesterday I finally opened legend from normal packs. Oh the joy of seeing the orange border, few seconds later, oh... well.. hello there...Hogger...yeah, would totally switch that with Sonya. At least there is a tiny bit chance that Sonya will be played in the future. Now tell me what is the chance to ever see Hogger played?
I was playing a little in Wild yesterday and ran into a Mage who had Hogger....even HP pinged him to get the 2/2 taunt lol

That legendary moment was on wednesday with the free tavern brawl pack ... It was my first pack with two legendarys in one pack. The Beast and Lorewalker Cho... man that was a bummer.
Am also(mostly) F2P. But on the the flipside, during WotOG I was on the verge of dusting a fair amount of collection because a reeeeeaaaally wanted to make N'Zoth decks. Then lo and behold, just as I was ready to pull the trigger, I busted a
in all his Golden Glory! Thanks, Hearthstone!

Do or do not. There is no try.

Back when you could still get duplicates of legendaries I opened Millhouse Manastorm three times...
My first legendary ever was Sylvanas Windrunner though so I wasn't that unlucky.

I got a Golden Illidan off a reward pack - never been able to fit him in - too bad, such a great WoW character, wish he got more play

My legendaries:
WotOG: The Boogeymonster
MSoG: Madam Goya
JtU: Unite the Murlocs
KotFT: Valeera the Hollow, Scourgelord Garrosh, Arfus
KaC: Twig of the World Tree, Rhok'delar, Master Oakheart, King Togwaggle
Classic: The Black Knight, Archmage Antonidas, Cenarius
Outside Antonidas, all of these are pretty much trash. It's really disappointing when you get these instead of actually playable ones.
Dunno if I should post here, since I'm not f2p, but for me "that legendary" moment happened three times:
1. Edwin VanCleef from the welcome bundle. That card was one that I wanted to craft for a long time.
2. Golden Archmage Antonidas from a random Brawl Classic Pack (even though nobody plays Tony anymore).
3. Bloodreaver Gul'dan.
I've no clue what I'm doing...

My first legendary was lord jaraxxus and my second was also lord jaraxxus... So nice
Helloo
All of you complaining about your first legendaries being Lorewalker Cho or Tinkmaster Overspark - at least they're somewhat playable in meme decks.
My first legendary, however, was Hemet Nesingwary - Perhaps the worst card I've ever seen. Legendary or not.
I got him again as my 5th (ish) legendary, but thankfully, he was golden!
