    yea attempt 2 and 3 i didnt have deck tracker going and it made no difference.  I mean nothing else running (no chrome, no steam, nothing)

    Anyone else having issues after the patch.  I have tried 3 times and the game has frozen 3 games in a row with the music on a 1 second glitched loop and my machine unusable.  After hard restarting my laptop this happened again for a total of 3 times with 0 finished games.  I had nothing else open and i use a decent laptop a surfacebook.

    I prefer keywording everything because it does offer consistency.  I prefer that over 'theme'.  But that's me and my preference.  I like the idea of a keyword showing up in 2 expansions, and using old cards for something new.

    For example, if Echo belongs to Witchwood, that's fine, for theme.  But going back through older cards and being able to use them in new ways is exciting to me.  There is only 1 card right now that cares about cards you play with the keyword 'Echo'.  But what if in later sets they expand that?  A card that says 'draw a card for every Echo card in your hand', as an example.

    It seems it's a battle between theme and consistency.  Flavor versus Logic.  Maybe it can be both?

     

     Lifesteal is a better Evergreen keyword than Echo would be because it's easier to balance. It's why Charge has mostly been phased out in favour of the easier to balance Rush. The implication behind a keyword being Evergreen is that it should show up fairly frequently - this is one of the reasons given for Enrage being phased out, because it was absent for at one point five expansions in a row (from TOG to WW, when it was removed). I don't think they'll ever remove Charge as a keyword, since it has cards that interact with it, but again, it hasn't had a card in the last five expansions, as Rush has essentially replaced it, so they wouldn't be unjustified. Maybe along with a Warsong Commander change to the old effect but with Rush instead? Fingers crossed.

    Now, there are some keywords that aren't Evergreen that have similar ease of balance - I'd say Adapt or Overkill would be good candidates. Adapt is very intrinsically tied into the lore of Un'goro, so I can understand not wanting to sprinkle it in in future sets. Overkill has some good Rastakhan flavour, but would be much easier to continue its usage if they wanted to.

    The point is that you don't want to oversaturate your game with Evergreen keywords, otherwise you just come up against the problem you were trying to avoid by making some keywords not Evergreen. Clearly they don't see the need for a mechanic like Overkill to show up frequently, so they didn't make it Evergreen.

    Now, on another topic, I do think that they should re-visit keywords in future expansions, as part of that expansion's theme. I'd be pretty disappointed if our next Mech-focused expansion didn't have at least a few Magnetic cards (since they'll probably want to focus more on their newer mechanic, so we can't expect too many). I'd also like to see them try and tackle Inspire again, since I think it could have been great - or at least somewhat playable in Constructed without being bonkers in Arena.

    A keyword not being Evergreen doesn't mean it has to be gone forever. We've just not had the game exist long enough for them to dip back into their past works so heavily for mechanical inspiration, only thematic stuff with Rise of Shadows (and a slight mechanical bend, though no keywords obviously).

     Inspire was played in constructed, in fact worlds was won with a deck with an inspire card in it.  The monkey that inpired gave all your other minions +1+1

     Keep in mind that I am not saying that this is a good deck but when it comes to playtesting, 30 games is what you would be aiming for in terms of a testing phase to showcase a deck's viability. Of course we don't know the ranks but 27 is by far and in excess of a single game.

     Fair enough. Personally I try to get at least 100 games, post rank 5, before I call something a success.

    Apologies to berroni for my harsh tone, I just dislike when people claim way exaggerated win rates.

     A deck shouldnt have to be post rank 5 to be posted by someone who wants feedback and to share his success.  27 games is a big time investment for some players   100 games post rank 5 basically is a HUGE time investment... Its not an exaggerated win rate, this is his rate at whatever rank, it justay not be what you want to see for you to try the deck but others can give constructive feedback and or try his deck out.

     dude man, 27 is alot of games for some people.  Please dont belittle others, he has played 27 games and has done well and wanted to share with the community.  Also a deck gets worse or better by the day with an evolving meta, and depending on rank.  I get annoyed when people try to ruin posts like this... state feedback on the deck and dont belittle someone bc they havent devoted their life to playing enough games to statistically prove to some people whether its truly good or just luck

    Prediction: exp1(current): we have the league of evil invade dalaran ( 5 evil classes vs 4 good)...

    exp2: league of evil expands and destroys dalaran... the good 4 classes move to the outskirts (more lackeys added)

    exp3: league of evil is defeated in an epic battle by the good guys with the help of dragons! its the year of dragons after all!!! (messenger raven hints at this... send off for help!)

    Happened to me... if you draw a card and add a copy to your hand with elementary reaction, then this will happen.  Lame but its working correctly.  When it happened to me i was losing and i played the 5 cost bomb to die.  If you play it the animation has the bomb fly out of your opponents hero portrait, pretty weird

    Turn 10 in a big heavy control warlock it is almost always guaranteed at least a free life tap with some removal and a chance for some crazy plays... in wild a lifesteal rush sylvannas that then dies and steals a minion is a MEGA power turn... alot of potential for those heavy heavy control players.  I want this.  I NEED this.

    On blizzard website, login and go to the store.  You can buy any wild packs and adventure.  If you havent opened cards from old sets, getting a min of 10 packs will guarantee a legend.  Great value for new to wild players.  Join wild, join the shennanigans!

     Except it depends on your goals... do you play wild and if so thr cost goes down over time.  Are you casual then you dont need many good cards.  If you are competitive do you want one good deck of 9?   The cost is relative to your goals.  Compare this to magic both arena, online or paper and it is worlds to play hearthstonr and cheaper no matter what your goal (also we can play anytime, anywhere vs having to give up a friday or have friends who want to play that game)

    Marin was an awesome gift for most players.  A cool legend that you wouldnt normally craft but gave you some fun card interaction to play with.  I sure hope this free legend is as cool as Marin was.  Remember most people dont play hearthstone to hit legend as cheaply as possible, some just want to have fun.
