So, I don't even know if there's anyone of the devs hanging around Hearthpwn but if there is even one or someone who has contacts with them I just wanted to ask you one thing.
I'm not complaining about anything, I'm not trying to obtain info or being annoying in any way.
I'm just worried about my favourite deck (Handlock) being completely destroyed by nerfs as I understood you guys think Giants are a problem in your opinion. Just please don't touch Moltens and Mountains if you don't want to completely destroy the cards and never see them be played ever again. Regarding Mountains, the only deck that plays those is Handlock and that is obviously not one of the top tier decks and won't be even when the next expansion hits, not in standard and not in wild. I mean, if you think that a turn 4 8-8 is op just think that you just have to tap (and therefore pass) turn 1 to 3 and also lose 4 health. Your opponent has all that needs to be prepared until then. Remember also that if you have only 2 cards in hand, he is even unplayable. Speaking about Moltens, I mean, they already cost 20 mana. And requires you to go below 10 life WITHOUT dying. AND it's pretty easy to play around them, just not brainlessly going face and thinking about your play for more than 5 secs. I know BGH is going to get nerfed and I don't really know how but do you really think that this will make people play Handlock all over the place? Well, that's possible but imo I think 80% of the people will prefer playing skill based and slower decks such as face hunter or secret paladin.
Do you really want to kill one of the most beautiful and fascinating decks of Hearthstone? Just please think about it.
If there's anyone here that is actually a Blizzard dev, I would really apreciate an answer, even coming via personal message. I swear I won't reveal anything about nerfs or anything you don't want to be revealed to the community if you ask me to. Or also posting here.
I'm just worried and also a little bit sad.

I've seen people asking for nerfs on ANYTHING. If Blizzard one day decides to actually pay attention to the community and starts nerfing as requested, we are going to have a game with only wisps. And still someone would say wisp is op. I'm not even kidding.
Ikr. I love Handlock too, as well as combo rogue (not the FailFish control archetype they strive to fit in) and freeze mage. All of them are gonna get nerfed probably.
It would hurt me a little if I could'nt play them in standard, but at least I would have wild. But if they nerf that cards to the ground these archetypes will be unplayable even in wild, so for many of us who love these decks, that are not OP by any means, it's gonna be devastating.
That's the way it is, as the user above said, Blizzard just doesn't care about murdering our favorite decks. We probably won't stop playing and giving them money anyway.
i guess we all have decks we love and would dearly miss, if they were to get hit by the nerf-hammer (which means absolutely wrecked in true Blizzard-fashion). For me it's not primarily Handlock, but the Gadgetzan-Style Combo Rogue, which appearently might get shafted as well, because Blizz deems the Rogue Basic cards to strong -.-
I'm sorry, but as aplayer that primarily plays midrange decks, I can tell you that Handlock and Mountain Giants are absolutely broken. Passing the first few turns are nothing when I only run a few early game minions. I therefore have no clean way of dealing with an 8/8 short of dumping my entire hand while you have supreme card advantage. I understand that midrange decks shouldn't beat everything, but between Twilight Drakes and Mountain Giants, that's too much of a hard counter for most of the existing decks. It needs to be nerfed, I refuse to be forced into playing aggro to combat handlock.
If giants get nerfed, I think only molten will be hit because he's good in most classes, not just warlock and this restricts future design space. We saw echo mage flood the board with 0 mana moltens and unless you had something like brawl, lightbomb or twisting nether, you lost. That giant may end up costing 22-25 mana. Mountain giant sucks outside handlock so doubt it'll be touched, even renolocks skip on this giant. Handlocks may have a new viable build using N'zoth anyway.
The only way your giants can be nerfed is by bumping up the card cost. Mountain Giantat most will be 13, because it would be wrong to force someone to have more than 3 cards in your hand to play one card even for 10 mana. Molten Giant could probably go to up 25 without too much issue. Dropping down to 5 health for a free Molten Giant becomes less appealing, but a 5 mana 8/8 at 10 health isn't too bad. Even a 22 mana Molten Giant would be a good re-balancing.

This reads kind of like "the game should be tailored around the decks I play, please get rid of all my counters"
The whole point of games like these is that there are a variety of decks available with different strengths and weaknesses, and handlock is a great example and a healthy deck for this game to have. Players should be able to run handlock if they see a host of midrange decks to prey upon, while at the same time opening themselves up to be slaughtered by aggressive decks. Everything gets beat by something, and there aren't really any inherently bad deck types. (yes, even aggro has an important role in the health of the game)
The fact that you don't want to play aggro isn't really a good thing; by refusing to play aggro you simply deny yourself a potential strategic advantage against decks like handlock. Build yourself more decks and play what's effective, rather than advocating nerfs to your weak matchups.

"Hello. Would you like to destroy some evil today?"
I don't think Handlock is a healthy deck for this game to have, especially if BGH is nerfed. The moltens need a nerf and maybe the mountain giants too. Anyways, if they do decide to destroy the Handlock you know then you should just move on m8 there will be plenty of different Handlock variations in the future.
If BGH is nerfed, definitely giants will be as well. I'm sure Blizzard doesn't want the game to turn into 9 classes with various competitive decks, to only one class playing one deck being viable. Handlock has been godly forever too.
If BGH gets nerfed (and I hope it does) then the giants may need some modifications. I don't see them absolutely killing the deck though, just maybe tweaking the cards a little bit.
People keep saying that the bgh nerf (if it happens, and it will) will result in nerf to the giants, but why couldn't the bgh nerf just be to destroy a minion with 8 or more attack instead of 7? This frees up a significant amount of design space, while still keeping both bgh and the giants usable.

The biggest hit handlock could possibly take would be a nerf to Molten Giant. It's the only card in the game that punishes the opposing player for trying to win, and the fact that cards like Defender of Argus and Sunfury Protector exist make it one of the most broken cards in the game. It's like having a built-in "comeback win" in your deck; just start losing, then you can win. Someone who's never even played the game could read that card text and tell you it's a broken card.

Maybe it'll be reborn as a Druid deck via Klaxxi Amber-Weaver and maybe C'Thun?

Not sure why you're worrying about this right now. Reno Jackson killed Handlock nearly six months ago.

They should be nerfed, but it's going to be tricky without totally destroying them.
For "Molten Giant" could tag the text "but not less than 2" at the end.
Mountain giant...I have no idea.

Handlock is one of the decks Blizzard chose to select for the pre-constructed decks, I doubt it's in their plans to totally destroy the deck…
