posted a message on Idea: Draw card at END of turn

    Responding to a few comments:

    • Obviously, you need to start with an extra card in your hand to keep the game balance
    • It does impact a FEW cards (like Clockwork Giant) but those cases are so marginal as to be meaningless
    • Mill strategies become very mildly more viable ...

The core idea is to give me a bit us a more to think about on the opponents turn (making their turn more interesting, maybe fewer people will "watch youtube"), which could help my turn (and the game) go a bit faster.

Another approach might be to not DRAW another card, but make it so that I can hover over my deck to see the next card - then there's no impact whatsoever on game mechanics.

posted a message on Idea: Draw card at END of turn

Here's a simple idea that could have a significant impact on the enjoyment of hearthstone, and speed it up a bit: Draw your card at the END of your turn instead of the start.

There are at least two major benefits:

    1. You plan out your turn during your OPPONENTS turn, giving you more to do than just watch your opponent play.

    2. Your own turn will go faster, because of #1, speeding up the whole game.

I can't think of any real downside, other than missing the "thrill" (or disappointment) of a great (or terrible) top-deck.

    Thoughts?

posted a message on So we are already back to an aggro meta?

I'm sure there's a buff/taunt warrior that would put all aggro decks to bed. I tried one early on in the expansion and it has no chance whatsoever against control lock, but seemed like would be an auto win vs aggro.

posted a message on which cards

It's not just the case for f2p players, I bought the pre-release bundle, + 100 packs from gold, and only opened 5 legendaries. I'm looking at all the popular decks and there's not one I have the needed legendaries for - and I don't want to risk valuable dust on a legendary that might not be good. Super super frustrating.

posted a message on Whaaaat ?? 85 packs and only 3 legendarys ???

    160 packs, 5 legendaries.

I almost pity timered on every one. Feelsbadman. I pay AAA game price to pre-order, + grind all season for another hundred packs, and don't have enough to play around with ANY decks without crafting a risky legendary.

Unless Blizzard starts respecting my $$$ more, I'm not spending money on this game again. (And I have bought EVERY pre-order since this game was released).

Ridiculous. They should reduce the pity timer to 15-20 packs for legendaries.

posted a message on Sideboard idea

This essentially means, EVERY deck would have weapon hate, secret hate, highlander hate, combo hate, etc...

Which would mean playing decks that try to win doing those things would ALL become unplayable, probably reducing it to a control only game.

Many moons ago iron beak owl was only 2 mana and and big game hunter was 3 mana. They had no downside. it was TERRIBLE because it countered any big "fun" cards, so nobody played them and you were best to just stick with aggro. I see sideboards and giving the same feelz.

It could be ok in some kind of multi-deck / tournament format, but not on ladder.

posted a message on These nerfs are not enough

I think you forgot to mention that in addition to nerfing druid and paladin, the should also nerf face warrior, shard demon hunter and aggro rogue. They're all too strong. My Chiliwind Yeti mage cannot compete.

posted a message on Reached Legend after being away from the game for 2 years and..

You clearly didn't play two years ago, because there were not (and have NEVER been) 4-5 decks per class in the history of hearthstone.

And aggro has almost always been rampant.

    You just making $#!7 up.

Before we even THINK about Dr. Boom, how about Cairne Bloodhoof THE GUY GOT POWERCREEPED BY A DAMN NEUTRAL FOR GODS SAKE. Not to mention it’s a classic card so available for standard play as well.

     Which neutral?

posted a message on Why Does Everyone Get Off On Being a Douche Bag?

What I don’t understand is why somebody who sees that his opponent has lethal and doesn’t want to watch more cards get played out wouldn’t concede.

Two clicks, even with a low APM it takes less than two seconds to concede. You could probably build a keyboard shortcut to do it in less time than it would take to write a salty 4 paragraph post.

posted a message on HS has become pay to win.

I'd say Hearthstone has done a great balancing act of ... pay-to-play vs free-to-play (although it is still a bit too expensive). Even if you have all the cards and meta decks, you still need to know how to use them (and so does your opponent). And... it's pretty easy to craft a top-tier deck or two per expansion for free.

In absolutely NO criteria is it pay-to-win.

If it were pay-to-win it would have microtransactions l like...
    - Mana Blast ($2,99): your next 2 games start with 2-more mana crystals
    - Power Play: ($5.99): your next 5 games gain spell damage +2
    - Full Northshire: ($9.99): your next 10 games draw 2 cards a turn
