posted a message on Hearthstone Price Changes Coming to Europe for PC, Mac, and Android

G fucking G Blizztards, G fucking G. I guess this is it for me. And no, it was not fun while it lasted. In fact, fun was the last thing to be had in this game, for a long time now. To rise prices in a game when it is at its all time low is just... baffling, there is no other word for it, just baffling.

posted a message on The Significance of the 2017 Rotation

And all i want is the return of Handlock, the most iconic and awesome deck HS has ever seen :( , well one can hope.

Nice write-up btw. thanks for taking the time. I am very excited for the rotation too, mostly because i am curious and can't stand the current meta, but also because i think this might be the most important release for HS, deciding if the game will continue to be popular.

Greedier Renolock/ Handlock seems to be the way to go, to bad you autoloose to the cancer Pirates, but oh well, at least the game is over quickly :)

Thanks for answering ;), to those suggesting jarraxxus, yeah i get that, but the trouble is actually being able to clear the board in order for me to jar safely. Theres just no boardclear that actually kills anything, except twisting which comes in to late

posted a message on Genuinely Curious: how do you guys beat Dragon-Priest?

So, here we are, finally a Priest-Meta. I for one was not looking forward to it, because i find Priest quite frankly boring to play and absolutely infuriating to play against. (Thoughtsteal RNG triggers me every time, i don't even wanna think about it). However, that being said, that's not what the thread is about.

Seeing as Priest is pretty insane now, i cannot help but notice the fact that they are giving me one hell of a hard time, especially the particulary boring (and stupid) Dragon-Curve-Priest. Obviously, any kind of Rogue is equipped pretty well te beat any Priest, but besides that i am kind of at a loss and also not really interested in playing some silly Pirate-Deck to rush them down. At the Moment i am mostly playing Renolock Variants but i am pretty sure that Priest is favored there too.

Now this is where my initial question comes into play: How do you guys deal with those pesky Priests? What are your strats?

posted a message on Venting about blade flurry nerf

See that delicious "designspace"? Best leave it empty to leave it open, you see what i'm saying? Cuz if we do something with it we might limit future design, so best limit future design to not fill that opend "designspace", so that future design won't limit future design, see what i'm saying? Makes perfect sense, 10/10 reasoning, would limit again.

posted a message on ROGUE MAINS UNITE ! DEFEND YOUR RIGHTS !

I don't get you people sometimes. Sure i'd love for Rogues to get exciting cards (it is my favorite class after all, rivaled only by ramp-druid) some great weapons, some new AOE, BUT i strongly disagree with the statement, that rogue is terrible and needs a ton of help.

Those of you who have been here since before the bladeflurry-nerf will remember how people (me included btw.) saw the bladeflurry nerf as a deathsentence for the class, yet here we stand, miracle being powerful as ever, same goes for malygod and to some degree for n'zoth rogue (which is boring but not bad at all).

And did we get any good cards in the last sets? Well, we got pillager and shadowstrike (nice try there with xaril) but the rest was shite, yet that's all we needed, because the entire core of the miracle-rogue is embedded in the classic set and as long as it stays that way, rogue will do just fine. Also, from the look of it we are getting trash once again, but the coin looks promising and maybe some of the jade-shenanigans are good enough to be incorporated as well.

Now back to the point i was actually gonna make: To me rogue was always a class that required a vastly different mind/skill-set to play effectively, since it is the (literally) only class that doesn't just crap the biggest minion onto the board every turn, but instead requires a lot of finesse in setting up multiple turns, knowing your outs, knowing all the improtant breakpoints etc. and that is also the appeal the class has to us rogue-players, we are hipsters, the shamans of old, similar to priests now, the class noone plays without being truly deticated to it.

To me, the golden Rogue-portrait has always been the most impressive, immediately commanding respect and instilling a feeling of unsafety, never knowing if you are gonna get bursted down from full health, or if you are gifted another turn. Something, which just btw. ties in very nicely with the identity of the rogue-class. And for it to stay that way, i don't want Rogue to get the Shaman-Treatment, i dont want Rogue to get 4mana 7/7s and 0mana 5/5 taunts, no rng bs boardclears, as long as we are getting a few tools to improve our so uniquely elegant and beautifully characteristic archetype, whilst keeping it skill-intensive and not that easily accessible, i am absolutely content.

posted a message on As a priest main I am enjoying the drought Rogue will have in the upcoming expansion.

Dream on, little man. Priest never had any means (except lightbomb i guess) of defending themselves against combo-rogue, no matter if we're talkin stealthed questings/ van cleefs, charging leeroys, or malygod OTK, heck even a naked gadget or azure drake is hard to deal with. And seeing as dragonfire-potion helps only against gadget, and loatheb is a wild card, it will stay that way.

As someone who plays a lot of Druid i feel like i am getting dunked on by mulch all the time. i don't know how many times i gave them an extra rag or some crazy charge-minion, i really hate using mulch as a result of it.

Are you guys joking? I can understand that you might loose against aggro with C'thun, but playing any kind of non-C'Thun Control-decks when literally every second player on ladder plays C'thun Druid and all the other guys play C'Thun Warrior is just impossible. The Card is already in my top 5 most annoying Cards ever.

And dont get me wrong, whilst i like the idea that the f2p guys have easy access to a powerful archetype it seems to me that it is to powerful. Because if you are like me and like to play Control but dont like to play C'thun, because quite frankly it is not fun to play, you are boned. Play Priest. Nep, sure Dragonpriest is a thing, but also the most boring deck in the entire game by a country-mile. Play Warrior without Cthun. Not happening, because guess what, without the ancient Shieldbearer you don't have enough healthgain, especially against C'Thun decks. Play Paladin, sure that works and i like the N'zoth version but i would like to have a couple more options. Saved an execute and en enabler for Cthun? Well you better have held on to a second pair because Doomcaller, sometimes he comes back even a third time! Or you can take a fifty-fifty brawl against a 20/20 minion, sounds like fun.

Do i sound salty? Yes, because i am. This card is nuts, a one-card combo boardclear and potential OTK. If your deck doesnt have the ability to pressure and burst the opponent down you might as well call it a day and concede right away.

A solid N'Zoth Control deck of any class, is going to shit on C'Thun decks... C'Thun decks have jack for threat density when trying to play a Fatigue game.
I get that, thats why i said pally can do it. But what other Control-class actually has decent Deathrattles? I dont want to play corrupted healbot and taurens and just put them in a different control-shell. As far as i'm concerned Sylvanas and Cairne are the only good neutral d/r minions, which is not enough to make me play nzoth warrior or priest or warlock.
I prefer to play decks with some flair that comes from the class-specific cards, like alexstraszas champion in dragon-warrior. But that deck gets shat on by C'thun decks, especially with doomcaller, my new "favorite" card and thats what annoys me. If you want to play against cthun, without playing cthun you can either go Aggro or you can go Pally and thats kind of the end of the viable options.

posted a message on Possible Rogue basics nerf?

i don't even know what to say, this by far exceeds my worst expectations. What were they thinking? In what world is BF for 4! mana!, 4!!!! mana without the facedamage a card you'd ever want to play?. Increase the cost OR remove the facedamage or at least make it 3 so it can be prepped, godDAMMIT!

But i am really glad they took those nerfs so serious and executed them so consistently, knife juggler as a 2/2? what a quality nerf that is, surely it will be cut from every deck that played it for its OP ability. Ironbeak for 3 mana? noone ever played that card for the silence effect anyway, it was just about that 2/1 body for 2 that was so very attractive, am i rite? And the fact that Doomhammer/Rockbiter still works the same makes me sick from just thinking about shaman.

Blizzard better have some serious weaponry and AOE for rogue, because they just annihilated the only somewhat working archetype with this ridiculous nerf. A shame, really. I always loved miraclework, but without a good AOE it just doesn't work.
