I think its broken af. In general they have to do something about rouge - but i simply think, that sap is too broken now. With prep it's a 0 mana hard targeted removal, which you can't play around. It's completely absurd. I hope they nerf it to 4 mana.
What do you guys think?

sap is a very flexible card. You can either consider it to heal (not take dmg) or get pass a minion to finish your opponent. The card can be used to close the game or delay.
Hot damn people. Stop trying to nerf everything rogue has and actually nerf a class that has almost never been nerfed (in terms of class cards).
You also have to keep in mind T5 intentionally pigeonholes rogue into a primarily tempo-based playstyle (cuz reasons & inconsistent "class identity"). Rogue has no consistent control synergies in almost every single standard meta (wild is different, but even there you need to make your deck really slow to make a control deck that competes with the double board swarm of warlock's Gul'Dan AND N'Zoth boards).
Give rogue actual consistent control synergies and sure you can nerf sap. If not, then you can't go around killing the ONLY playstyle the class is force fed simply because you don't like your control poster child decks losing to a faster deck than you.
Also if you remove Sap what the hell is rogue supposed to use to answer big minions? A 4 damage spell with a requirement isn't going to cut it. Rogues already have zero answers to wide boards, unless you get a kick out of vanishing your own board away for 6 mana.
Are you serious, some of you? Ok, it is a general agreement that Rogue needs some kind of nerf, but these proposals are beyond absurd. Sap is a fine card, so is Mountain giant (thah someone was whining about in another thread). Let’s nerf some truly OP cards and not point the gun at every card that you might slightly not like.
I think it's balanced, but I do think when you Sap, Vanish, etc. something that is magnetized, it should stay together. That's the one thing that feels a bit broken. Sapping a card with an enchantment... makes sense that the enchantment goes away, but magnetizing feels more like you are fusing the two together. There's my 2.5¢

card is fine, it's good tempo, but it's terrible against battlecry charge and rush as people already stated, plus it doesnt deal with the threat, it just delays it.

In what world does "hard target removal" give you the minion back to your hand again?
It becomes stronger where mechs are concerned and things like Edwin, but most of the time you just get the minion back in hand, it doesn't kill it.
rogue has prep as well, but that's a space in the deck used for it so it's fair.
Rogue is only being hated on so much right now because it's top dog.
I started maining rogue about 2 years ago and have seen it go up and down, and cards like sap and prep aren't normally even in the aggressive rogue decks. they're only there now because of a lack of cards.
Once theres another set or two with cards that better suit a fast win, prep will 100% be cut and sap might be teched in if mechs are prevalent.

I think this topic has been beaten to death. Life ain’t fair, move on.

It is a good card, that's it. You lost due to this card now. It doesn't mean that it is broken.
It is the core of rogue class in a single card.
Insane tempo and early play but poor sustentability and lategame.
You trade value for tempo, if you able to win because the tempo before your opponent can use the value it is ok, otherwise you lose.
It's not very good against a wide board. Try playing it against zoo lock when they are all one drops and battlecry.
It's also not very good against Zilliax, safekeeper, lackies, Dyn-o-matic, Hunter, etc.
It doesn't kill anything, or do damage. It's a good card for quick face damage, but that's it. Doesn't go with any other deck.
It's not that good when you top deck it.
I rest my case.

The ONLY card capable of keeping big priest (consistently) in check in wild , its s no from me
I would like to Sap this thread for 2 mana. Thanks.
Dab
Exactly this.
It's a tempo removal.
You cannot efficiently remove minions with powerful battlecry effects or rush minions.
You will also put yourself in card disadvantage.
Very powerful spell, but does nothing for controlling the board.
Yeah sure.
I suggest (11) mana. At least.
Even (13) would ok because hey they could still Prep and play it!
Jeez...
Stfu and gtfo

Yeah, feels real bad when that happens.
Why don't we just nerf every card in the game until all that's left is Magma Rager?
Perfect for rogue identity. You lost to this card, as has everyone else. My advice:
Improvise
Adapt
Overcome

That's my opinion at least.
