Galakrond's Awakening Update: Sky Gen'ral Kragg and Licensed Adventurer are good inclusions to the core deck, and Boompistol Bully seems to be a good tech choice, but it's not a core card.
Added C'thun and Dragon packages
Basically this is the base outline of the deck, add extra cards/packages from the following. Of course you don't need to add all the cards given in a package, but be careful not to cut too many cards or that package overall will be weak. Some packages are smaller than others so you can run up to 3 packages. All cards are ordered in decreasing power level. Also be aware of the additional possible interactions between the cards (for example doppelgangster - evolve).
I will gladly consider the package ideas you post in the comments.
Packages:
Jade:
Jade Claws, Jade Spirit, Aya Blackpaw, Jade Chieftain, Jade Lightning
Evolve:
Mutate, Evolve, Mogu Fleshshaper, Former Champ, Desert Hare
Galakrond:
This package took significant hits with the recent nerfs, but is still decent.
Galakrond, the Tempest, Kronx Dragonhoof, Shield of Galakrond, Devoted Maniac, Corrupt Elementalist, Invocation of Frost, Dragon's Pack
Infinite:
Grumble, Worldshaker, Doppelgangster
Elementals:
Kalimos, Primal Lord, Blazecaller, Menacing Nimbus, Servant of Kalimos, Fire Plume Harbinger, Fire Elemental, Fire Plume Phoenix, Glacial Shard
Additional notes about this package (expand the spoiler):
There are numerous elementals already in the deck, in other packages and in additional card options (zeph, grumble, jade spirit, bog slosher, siamat, etc.), so consider your picks from this package in addition to these. Try to put a reasonable amount of elementals since "if you played an elemental last turn" becomes a hard condition to satisfy without them. Harbinger's power level goes up significantly the more elementals you have and the more greedy you can be with them. Overall this package is pretty weak compared to others, so don't expect much.
C'thun:
C'Thun, Disciple of C'Thun, Beckoner of Evil, Doomcaller, C'Thun's Chosen, Twin Emperor Vek'lor
Dragon:
Firetree Witchdoctor, Netherspite Historian, Scalerider, Twilight Guardian, Twilight Drake, Big Ol' Whelp, Blackwing Corruptor, Cobalt Spellkin, Dragonmaw Scorcher, Hungry Dragon, Brightwing, Lightning Breath, Frizz Kindleroost, Scaleworm, Crowd Roaster, Primordial Drake, Azure Drake, Twin Tyrant, Nithogg
Cards:
Draw:
Novice Engineer, Coldlight Oracle, Witchwood Piper, Far Sight
Tech:
Boompistol Bully, Golakka Crawler, Hecklebot, Kezan Mystic, Dirty Rat, Hungry Crab, Acidic Swamp Ooze
Bounce/Copy:
Zola the Gorgon, Bog Slosher, Baleful Banker, Barista Lynchen, Body Wrapper
Value:
Swampqueen Hagatha, Vulpera Scoundrel
Other:
Siamat, Loatheb, Antique Healbot, Hot Spring Guardian, Walking Fountain, Pit Crocolisk, Seaforium Bomber, Giggling Inventor
Also you can check out the variant I have posted before and inspired me to create a guide in a different format like this in the first place: Galakrond Evolve
This is the best deck post i've ever seen, and i've seen a loot; thx for putting so much effort in this!, it's just so useful.
Side note, i think tour guide could be a good option for almost every version, and for the jade packaje you can high roll and add rummaning kobold to get more weapons and bigger dudes.
Thank you for the kind words, I last updated this when descent of dragons mini set was launched, so tour guide wasn't even around then. I haven't played with this deck since then but you are probably right it seems like a good fit.
Can I play Fist of Ra'den with a reno quest shell?
My aim with this deck was to complete the quest quickly and get as much as value from the double battlecries as possible. As a result, you can see that both the main package and all the other packages are very minion heavy. If you wanted to add fist to this deck you would also need to add quite a reasonable amount of spells, which kinda defeats the original purpose of the deck. Besides, fist and the quest hero power doesn't interact at all, so I don't think it doesn't make a lot of sense as an idea anyway (no offense). But I guess you can make a reno fist deck without the quest, and I don't think I've ever seen anyone post something like that, so if you feel like it go for it.
This is my take on it. Emperor can discount either Alexstrasza or Shudder to make a massive turn 10 swing.

You have only 3 lackey generators in the main deck. Do you really need weaponized wasp?
If you draw it early you can play it as just a 3-3 even if you don't have a lackey in play to get quest progression, if you draw it late then you can probably hold onto it and play other stuff until you do eventually get a lackey. So basically it's either a cheap quest progression or 3 mana deal 6 damage, which makes it decent in any case.
Same scenario actually applies to desert hare + evolve in the evolve package as well. But desert hare is a little bit worse since it's easier to deal with in early game.
When I saw the decklist first, my thought was WTF... so less cards? But then I read the text - ah, now I understand.
Nice idea with the "do it yourself" thought :-)
Should be DIY not DYI lol but anyway what a great idea to make a do it yourself deck for idea and work into package info most definetly deserves a upvote :+)
Do It Yourself Lol Defo DIY Great Idea Well Done Nice Packages
Whoops ur right, changed it now, and thanks for the support!
