    Hi :)

    - do you want to be good ladder player, reaching the acceptable rank every month, earning rewards and be

I'm not the OP but I would like some general help in this field. I play NA so I'm afraid I'll have to ask for your advice on the forums. I've watched the (old) Trump videos and know a little about the game but that's all. I find I can get rank 16 but never across the hump. I know it's bad play and maybe a little bit of excitement of trying to get to 15 where I can't drank again. What are general tips you would suggest?
I would wait with the Karazhan for the time you will be decided on the deck(s) you want to play. Therefore you will be able to tell, if you need an adventure, which will go wild in 1+ year, or no.
For now, I would reccomend you to start building up really budget decks, while doing only safe crafts (meaning the cards, which will be most probably good always - e.g. Kabal Talonpriest, Mana Wyrm,Firefly, Acolyte of Pain etc. ► Google for some lists). You can use mines,  or the list that I'm making right now (http://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/general-deck-building/create-thread), or just search on HearthPwn:
Once you will have your favorite deck selected, start to really invest to it, crafting the Epics/Legendaries needed for it and try to hit Rank 5 every month for 400+ dusts from rewards.
    -----
Spending Gold would be more tricky. Best way to earn is obviously learning to do infinite Arena runs. For that you need to make at least one time 7 wins have around 2-2,5+ average wins in like 7-10 runs weekly.
If you dont think you are prepared for Arena runs, I would recommend you to buy either Classic or UnGoro packs, depending on which cards you need mostly.

    Some general hints:

    - Always try to hit either 20, 15, 10 or 5 rank until last day of the month for bigger rewards (e.g. between 12 and 11 is approx 2% difference in rewards amount, but between 11 and 10 there is around 50%+ difference)
    - Give every deck you try at least 30 matches, while tracking your W-L. Don't give up after 5 looses in a row without win. They mean nothing in the long run, and u could just throw away the best deck you played without realising.
    - The slower the deck = the slower the game = slower grinding.
    - Do not disenchant any cards, even if you don't use them now and you feel like they are bad. Meta will change and what was unplayable maybe viable. Don't rush with "Disenchant the extra cards" in Crafting Tab. Wait for the moment, when you will really need the dust and will not have any other way of getting it. It's because the nerfed cards can be disenchanted for full value, tho you might be lucky and hit nerf on a card you have like 5 or 6 times.
    - Start using https://hsdecktracker.net/ everytime you play HS! It will really boost your plays and gives you valuable data. Also use http://www.heartharena.com/overwolf for very cool help with picks in arena.
    - Don't be worry to ask before any click or decision you are not sure about. Hearthpwn community loves to help and that one click could be devastating :)

Hope I helped a bit, if any questions or help with deckbuilding, write me here or Direct here on hpwn :)

posted a message on I Cannot Seem to get the Hang of Arena

    Hi,

i'm Arena player with 800+ wins now, reaching the 12 wins all classes multiple times (except warrior, i just can't :D ).

Just few tips i didn't read here yet - they are mostly general tips. The situation can differ:

    - Download http://www.heartharena.com/overwolf ! This might help you alot - not only with picking the right cards but also to understand the style of deck you want to have. This one I feel could really help you, as it did for me.

    - In most cases you want to play on curve and not play too much around removals, with the exception of Flamestrike or if you are really sure (e.g. obvious preparing for Consecration etc.)

    - I mulligan 80-90% very consistently (with average deck), keeping combination of 1x 1cost1-2x 2cost ; 1x 3cost without coin or 0-1x 1cost1-2x 2cost ; 1x 3cost  with coin. 3 cost must have decent chance to be playable on turn3 (eg. no Shattered Sun Cleric if no 2drop etc.) - i don't keep 4cost or 2x 1cost in more than 90% of games. I don't keep 2x 2cost if no coin in 60% of games, and I keep them in 70% of games when I have a coin.

    - Value is pretty much important in Arena (as said above) - but DON'T BE TOO GREEDY. It can be very costly, since you mostly don't have so much defensive tools.

Hope it helped! If you will tend to fail even after all those tips, don't give up and add me on Bnet. I can do some spectating and we can discuss the plays etc. :)

    ADD:

The tips from sigtrent are great! Well done man :-)

Unfortunately, Purify can't be replaced, unless you would refine the deck a bit removing Ancient Watcher - replacing it with Bittertide Hydra, Shadow Word: Pain etc.

Until Rank 5 it works like a charm :) 5 to legend is just way too dreamy with deck for 2k dust :)

Well, ye. The tittle Puripriest should work as a hint. that there is Purify included ^^

It's actually just 700g to reach Priest and 2100g to reach Purify - u should save gold for the adventures anyway in my opinion.

Nevertheless, i'll try to come out with some solution for you, so your hopes aren't destroyed :)

I want to make an ideal deck for the beginners without the need to have extra dust.

Still not sure with few cards - opinions?

Overall, there are too many one-ofs in the deck, which will make it harder for the deck to be consistent.

In my experience with this deck so far, sunfury protector wasn't all that good. I was running both them and defender of argus and found that only the argus made for much impact. Sunfury was either a dead card in hand or an ineffective one most of the time. I'd try to find space for 2x defender of argus.

Hozen Healer I thought would be interesting but its effect used as removal with auchenai soulpriest feels situational and a bit gimmicky. Also you only have one soulpriest so it's even harder to pull off.

You could include Tortollan Shellraiser. I found that it was underwhelming but if you're going ultra-budget, at least it's cheap. Decent body + taunt.

I'd go 2x Priest of the Feast. Found the 3 attack was very good and healing effect with the sheer number of spells you have can be good too.

Potion of Madness I don't think is right for the deck. The point of the deck is build up a big wall either in fat minions that can remove multiple for board control, setup a huge wall for taunt and to burst down with inner fire. I don't think this spell helps with that all that much. I'd remove it in order to make room for more 2-ofs that DO fit into the game plan.

Yeah, whilst this deck is generally fine, it seems as if there's really no general direction to it. Almost as if you wanted to include a bunch of stuff within the 30 card limitation. Sunfury protector, like said above, is a dead card most of the time. Defender of Argus does the same thing just better - so use that card.

Thanks for the feedback, will definitely try with Argus instead of Sunfury and will see :)

I think with 2x Argus the curve could be a bit mess (already 2x Shambler and usually u have few plays on 4-turn) - i'll definitely try the deck with 1.

I'll try to replace Hozen with Auchenai/Shellraiser to see the difference and test. Hozen Healer was so far performing fine. As a heal or just tempo 4-drop.

I don't like the +1/+1 on Shellraiser, which is not good with Silence. I wanted also to try out Mogu'shan Warden, even tho i'm not expecting him to performance somehow brilliant, he may do fine.

Well what do you suggest to stop aggro? I didn't liked it too, but it'll save you many times against Warrior/Rogue.
For instead it's the only win condition against Quest Rogue (you take his Igneous Elemental and pop a 1/2 elemental's to your hand.

Finally, thank you very much for feedback!
