Had two quests this morning and finally had the motivation to clear them so I decided to do the Play 50 Warlock cards quest first. Built a deck of 30 Warlock cards and headed into Casual in Wild for some lols. Ended up clearing the quest in three games. Won the first game because my opponent conceded on turn 6 (I"m assuming they completed their quest cause nothing had really happened yet), lost the second vs a pretty standard Control Warrior (thanks for playing in Casual buddy), and won the last one vs a Shaman after ending my turn with lethal on the board 4 times and finally swinging with a 21/4 Darkshire Councilman.
My next quest was to win two games as Mage/Shaman. Decided to run Mage and threw together a 30 spell deck before heading back into Casual Wild. It only took three games to clear two wins, and funnily enough my two wins were vs constructed Tempo Mages.
All in all it was a satisfying morning of Hearthstone.
Yesterday, I hit Legend rank for the first time. During previous seasons, I mostly played until Rank 5, just for the golden epic. I used mostly my favorite off-meta decks to climb these seasons, like Prophet Velen Priest, Dreadsteed Warlock, and Malygos / Ancestor's Call Shaman. I had a decent winrate with these decks, but once I hit Rank 5 I completely lost interest in ranked play.
This season, I decided that I would finish the climb to legend, so I could get the card back and be finally able to say that I've accomplished the feat. To do this, I would build a powerful meta deck in Freeze Mage in Wild, and stick to it during my entire run. I was a bit apprehensive about the whole endeavour, as I've heard climbing from 5 to Legend was a long, tedious grind. For a while, that was true, as I spent several games bouncing between Ranks 3 and 4, seemingly making little progress.
It was a lot of effort, but I did it, with 12 days to spare. Perhaps I'll make the journey again in a subsequent season. For now, though, I'm extremely satisfied with what I've accomplished this season.
Recently faced an Astral Communion deck while playing a 30 card quest mage. It was going well until he astral communioned and then topdecked Deathwing the next turn. He smacked me twice with it before I could get rid of it. The next 10 minutes were grueling as we both traded when we could and smack each other in the face 1 damage at a time. I managed to pull off a sick combo where I got ice lance, frostbolt, and fireball with no card draw and no Thaurissan. Was the best game ever.
I just had the most awesome game yesterday. I was playing a N'zoth Barnes Combo Rogue thing and my opponent was playing an Arcane Giant Echo mage. The game pretty much went back and forth with me continuously bouncing N'zoth back with stuff like Gang Up, Shadowcaster, and Shadowstep to get Sludge Belchers to block his giants while he summoned more of them, for about ten turns. That was when I died when I miscalculated and didn't clear enough space on my board to get enough taunts. I think he played like 12 giants total (he had Duplicates as well), and I played N'zoth six times at least. It was the coolest thing.
I played a gimmick deck on wild, to get my 75murloc quest done, and faced a card I only have seen one time before. Eventhough I lost I think it's awesome!
I had the "play 75 murlocs" quest, so I made with neptulon, 2X everyfin is awesome and the rest was all murlocs, and played it on ranked wild (low ranks as I mostly play standard) I wasn't expecting any wins, but ended up 6-3 and even got someone to rage add me after a game to cry :)

Congratz. I did the exact same thing yesterday, only with paladin. Went 0-5. FeelsBadMan :P

Everything that isn't about elephants is irrelephant.
Yesterday I had incredible luck going to 10 wins with Tempo Mage. I had an enemy rag miss my rag on a 1 in 3, then I killed his on a 1 in 2. Then his sylvannas stole my Bloodmage Thalnos on a 1 in 3, leaving a 5/2 and my rag on board. Then he faceless manipulator'd my Ragnaros, only to have it go face again, after which I topdecked exact lethal with an Azure Drake, using 2 arcane blasts to kill his Rag, 4 arcane missiles to face, ping his face, rag shot to face for game.
2 other times during the run I had Yogg-Saron bring games back from the brink, including Healing Touch on my face out of 4 targets, Vaporize when he had only a thing from below on board, Shield Block, Mark of the Wild on himself in a situation where only 2 out of 8 outcomes were good for me, and an Elemental Destruction for only 4 on himself to keep the battlecry going. It was just incredibly lucky and I got 10 wins partly because of it.
Alright, MidRange Shaman, let me level with you here.
Your deck gets wins. Your deck can be insane. Whenever I get salty and start waiting til rope to try and BM or Concede on Trogg play, I hate your deck.
I'm sure a lot of you players are fine. I love you.
Game2: I saved one Entomb for the opponents Golden Monkey. My opponent allready was in fatigue, while I had a few cards left, but he was very high on armor. Golden Monkey had given him Alexstrasza, Ragnaros the Firelord and Reno Jackson, but I still won the match. He traded hid 6 hp Alex with my monkey and played Rag who put me to 8hp. And again Illidan Stormrage turned the tides. Flame of Azzinoth took the next Rag hit. Afterwards I was able to kill Rag and establish a board. Bolf Ramshield gave me some more hp and faitgue finished off my opponent.
I got play 75 murlocs quest, so I made paladin with 27 murlocs 2x divine favor and solemn vigil. I actually won 5 games and lost only 1 while doing that quest. 2 wins were turn 3-4 enemy concede for no reason except I had better board, than some mech priest, who didn't have fast clear, than mirror match vs all murloc paladin victory and against midrange hunter, where I got all my draws and he used hounds+explosive trap too early. Lost to shaman, who had 2 maelstorm portals. That shouldn't have happened :D It was in wild for puddlestomper, so odds are even lower.

Question everything.
Screenshots has been made week ago :D.I just love play Medivh, the Guardian in my Dragon Priest deck for insane combos like this:
1 2 Prince out of 2 Entombs and Atiesh (Still lost that game because Auchenai and flash heal combo) :D
2 Naga Sea Witch out of Atiesh thanks to Holy Nova and then Ysera and Chromaggus on next turn. Ramp Priest meta confirmed xD

Tfw when you win a game because you topdecked Totemic Might.

Just got golden druid! That's my 5th one, after Hunter, Mage, Paladin and Priest.
Got at least half of the wins with my all-time favourite deck - Beast (post- and pre-Kara). Hilarious how no one ever expects Savage Roar..

Last weekend I had two amazing matches, which were a lot of fun. I was playing Resurrect priest vs control warrior in both matches.
Game1: Thoughtsteal gave me the Map to the Golden Monkey and as it was going to fatigue, we both had played our Golden Monkey. Illidan Stormrage won the match, because I were able to clear the opponents board with Flame of Azzinoths thanks to an Acidmaw.
