and entirely omittable by a working concede penalty algorithm
As it's quite obvious what these people are doing, sure having a 500 game counter temporarily halted after a certain amount of consecutive concedes would cause no issue to either gold gain or incentive to play. But apparently not. All calculations regarding that long lasting issue are done and final apparently.
Because of the phenomenon called golden hero farming.
These people you meet spend an equal time auto-conceding.
They are trying for the optimal quick 500 win for each class strategy.
Alternatively, they are horrible whales, tossing money at the screen because they want to win but still end up on low rank because they simply refuse to hero power before using Sunkeeper Tarim
Forgot to mention the other obvious advantage of the hero power. Figuring out enemy secrets!
Enemy plays a secret: Use your turn to poke with a stick, then "reboot". This gives you a huge advantage. Especially the final boss uses a lot of secrets. That and clearing the board, don't want to take 20 face damage for nothing, especially if über Toki uses that 10 mana reset spell
Certainly more fun when you have access to the more "classic" power cards that used to be auto include in midrange.
Main issue is of course the complete lack of weapons and the "must have" 3 drops that Hunter is over saturated with.
Currently mostly looking at the low end of curve, Whilst Snowflipper Penguin is crucial for early game, it's just rubbish when pulled out from an oozeling or Kathreena (except it tends to be ignored vs Spiteful Summoner and you can poison that pesky 12/12). Considering a replacement but a Wisp won't be able to get poisonous from a Crackling Razormaw or buff a Hyena.
Other than that this deck really gets rolling from turn 4 onwards, and having a 1 cost hero power really feels more stable than a 3 damage one. Perhaps this deck is a sleeper for now, but decided to share my version of it anyway. It might get more support in the future :)
To be fair that boss is an absolute pain in the butt
Had him completely pinned down with houndmaster, he even had to resort to 2 Savage Roar with no minions to clear my board.
Next turn he drops Onyxia , i'm like ffffuuu. But he only has one other card in hand and I decide I can hold him off a bit using a rush minion for onyxia, taking 12 damage from full health is not that bad, right?
Wrong. Next turn double Bloodlust , 6 x 8 damage otk,,,,, nice.
For me the key card to get was the Double Time , it's absolutely bonkers when you use it with stuff like Anti-Magic Shell on a board of random minions or Molten Reflection on cards like Ragnaros the Firelord . Oh and the Time Warp (quest reward) works with it too, giving you 2 extra turns. Built the deck around chaos and elementals with a lot of spell generators, specifically many Spellslinger (AI seems too dumb to handle random spells correctly) and 0 secrets/burn, was an interesting run. Found the hero power most useful for rerolling randomly generated spells and correcting obvious misplays. Very powerful hero power if you use it for exactly that. Don't focus on burn cards, focus on spell generation and rerolling
This card should have had the special text "can't be targetted by battlecry or combo on the battlefield"
Days of precious 15/19 Soggoth are over with all the silence tech flying around.
Also, that text would have been more fair since it couldn't be duplicated either.
Btw it's a minion i played a LOT with handbuff paladin back in the day before Vilespine Slayer, Psychic Scream and Shadowreaper Anduin, the intro sound is way more majestic with the big *Thud* it makes when it hits the board.
Now with cards like Voodoo Doll it's just sitting in my collection, forever.
Also it was a fairly tricky combo to pull off, or rather survive until you could pull it off. Adding this line would be fair in my opinion, it's still heavy cost for its stats as is.
It was a decent deal by their standards. Thing is their standards are just too high for someone who wants to play casually on the phone on the bus to work or during a break.
I mean yeah i got that mammoth bundle, didn't net me any legs. Just a bunch of dust. Meanwhile i got an entire game + its expansions for the same price which i've ran on steam for over 200 hours and likely will play all over again in a few years.
The price/playtime ratio just don't add up. I was strongly considering preordering it just for the sake i don't want to play that much for the next few months and it'd keep me up to date on my collection. But it's just that, a collection. Without any actual worth. Rather just spend my money elsewhere. "pay to play less" is a disgusting marketing strategy after all, just milking you of your self worth because your enjoyment with the game is degrading.

Happy birthday!
And please, make shot glass version of Leeroy and make it a merch, asap.
The big glass version could be the "wonderful poison" Xaril always mentions :D
I like pouring shots and drinks <.<

What i want is a more dynamic card balance system instead of "bulk nerfs" every few months.
A little tweak here and there every now and then and voilá, we'd have an everchanging meta where pretty much any deck could be viable.

Arrived too late for this expansion. Just started experimenting with my limited options.
Laugh out loud when my terrible deck turns out to be an absolute troll counter to the most well established one.
Sure, taunt, heal, boardclear. It's another highmane + hero power each turn. Go for it. See how long we last.

Queue into refined warlock or paladin with a wimpy experimental hunter in casual, over a month too late.

It wasn't about the xpac quality to be honest.
