So, over christmas I've had little choice but to play hearthstone for extended periods on my phone (s8 fyi). I felt the pressure to play aggro and tempo only, anything else provided simply too long a game to be comfortable. On the occassion where I was playing an opponent who controlled the board and extended the game I started to get incredibly impatient, something that never happens when I'm on my PC, and roping was ten-fold more annoying. My attention span felt affected just due to the nature of the device I was playing on, is this just my problem?
The interface in general is junk, and misclicks cost me atleast three games at different times. It felt a chore to play, where as on the PC hearthstone feels easy-breezey smooth. We know blizzard makes a lot of money from people playing on mobiles (though based on my recent experience I'm really not sure why), so I'm starting to wonder if cards like corridor creeper only exist as an effort from blizzard to try and speed the majority of games up?
Sounds like a personal problem. I mostly play on my phone during school lunch. Maybe its just a problem of being bored of the hyper control/hyper aggro meta. It does create a weird thing were some games end on turn 7 or 8 and others go all the way to fatigue.
I often play on my Huawai p9 lite and I don't experience any problems or fustration - sometimes I do missclick tho. accidently hitting the end turn bottom xD. I mainly play control decks and the only problem with long matches depends on the amount of battery left on the phone for me.
Being able to play on the phone is good in situation where you have to wait for a long period of time (e.g. hospitals where I live) and where you don't have a computer at your disposal.
If I have a solid connection I have no phone issues. Even riding the bus I rarely have disconnect issues. Full disclosure, I live in LA and strong signal is pretty much a given outdoors.
Got 0 problems playing on phone. only real issue is using filters on the collection, as pressing "done" also presses the classic set bc of stacked buttons.
bit slow on loading the collection and games as well, but other than that no issues.
The game works great on my Fairphone first edition believe it or not. I work in two week shifts with no computer available, so being able to at least get a few daily quests done now and then and maybe open a pack or two keeps me satisfied. I must confess i have a lot of decks consisting *only* of murlocs, 1 mana secrets, weapons, combo cards and divine shield minions just to get quests done, but i squeeze in the occasional aggro game now and then. Don't find it suitable for arena though, one mistake is costly and with thumbs the size of mine,..
But yes, 50% of the time i play on a phone that's under minimum requirements but game runs fine and i'm enjoying myself.
The phone works ok, obviously, a computer (notice the word choice, not PC) is better. My biggest issues is how in the hell do you target yourself on the phone?
I have iPad, iPhone and Mac and play almost exclusively on my phone. It’s never been an issue for me. And I can also say that playing on the phone has never caused me to misclick or misplay and caused me to lose the game because I was on the phone. Seems like a personal problem or could be the fact that the android platform is garbage.
No problems with playing on my phone. I play as fast on phone as i do on pc. Only thing that seems bit clunky to me is the collection interface. Ofcourse game looks better on pc.
Play 95% of the time on my phone. The only thing that’s even mildly jarring, is the fact you can’t read card flavour text. The game doesn’t require enough attention to warrant starting my computer up, even if I’ll be playing for an hour or so.
Misclicks are entirely your fault. Can’t even remember a time when I’ve misclicked using mobile. Just be cautious before letting go of targetable action.
Hey I didn't say the misclicks weren't my fault, of course they were, the game doesn't just do things by itself, I'm just pointing out that the sloppy interface wasn't helping. As other people have said, your collection loads slowly, and it takes longer to get into games too.
As for the game pacing issue, I guess that is just me, but I think there's a reason most mobiles multiplayer games target 5 minutes and hearthstone suffers the same issue.

Honestly, I play mostly on my phone as I travel a lot. Disconnections can be a nuisance but the game reconnects very quickly and often has zero impact on play.
Playing on phone, for me, usually leads to better playing as I am not distracted by anything else on screen and I'm actually thinking since I'm not using any 3rd party crutches to act as my memory. This is me however, but on phone I'm just more engaged as a whole.
My one critique for HS mobile is blizzard needs to fix the queueing of actions as animations and actions cant be stacked as they can on PC. So maricle decks or exodus can get punished. This is a rare occassion but in those moments if you don't know what you're doing when the turn begins you will probably rope out...
I much prefer playing on PC, but I play a decent amount on my phone. I've never really had issues with the mobile interface and I have never felt pressure to play aggro/tempo because of the device I'm using. Though I find I play for shorter bursts on mobile (I.e. 10-20min bursts) rather than on PC (I.e. a few hours).
Theres def room for improvement on mobile but I don't think it's all bad. I think they should make it so you have to somehow click 2x on mobile to confirm you actually want to end your turn. It happens to me every now and then that I unintentionally end my turn, the button is right where my thumb naturally rests when holding my phone.

Did this once or twice. Your fiddling with a card in your hand. You decide not to play it so you drop it back in your hand, which is on top of your portrait. Bad luck and weird clipping issue and you accidentally drop it between cards onto your face. Once or twice in the thousand or so games on my phone.

Accidently drag your finger to hero or you swipe the spell towards hero and finger looses contact with and it casts.

I always play on my phone, including Mill.
And yes, rope is cruel, and sometimes i misplay some turns because of it.
But i don't feel the pressure to the extent of switching decks accordingly.
I do agree tho that mobile interface is clunky and not very responsive. And this is getting worse and worse with new effects and stuff.

80% of my playtime is on the phone. Performance is rarely an issue for me personally.

Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
Works great on my iPhone 8, but of course I prefer to play on my iPad.

Question everything.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
That collections filter issue on the phone is annoying. A workaround is to scroll the filter set list all the way down before hitting done

Dibbity don't touch that!
