I think the people that complain about Pirate Warrior the most, are people that are playing Pirate Warrior. When i played PW last night in ranks 15-10(wild), i found i was queued into PW and other aggro decks at least 50% of the time. But when i switched to Buff Paladin, i only played 1 PW in 10 games(which i destroyed because of all the taunts).
I know people say its a small sample size, but i have been saying it for 2 years now.....The cards in your deck determine who you get matched up against. Play 20 games of basic PW and you will get matched up against mostly aggro(and Reno). Add in 3-4 taunts, and all of a sudden you get queued into nothing but Reno and Mid range decks.
Please sit down, take a deep breath, look into a mirror and ask yourself: What possible reason could Blizzard have for going to the ENORMOUS amount of trouble it would take to create and maintain a matching system that behaves this way?
Then look up "post hoc ergo propter hoc" and do your very best to avoid magical thinking in the future.

Firing patches into your hand would actually be a great nerf I think. It keeps him unique, giving the pirate player the deck thinning ability that makes patches a legendary anyway. I hope someone from Blizzard reads that suggestion.
I don't think him shouting "I'm in charge now" from your hand has anywhere near the same effect.
To be honest i feel like whenever i play non-meta decks i run into less pirate warriors, jade shamans, and other big decks. So maybe the solution to "I don't like this deck! its too good!" is to just play something that isn't a huge part of the meta.
Also just stop complaining so much, there will always be a way for people to abuse the current meta. whether it's Pirate warrior, Face hunter, or Secret paladin. there is always going to be something that people hate
I'd say dragon priest does very good against pirate warrior, especially the build having no cards more expensive than 5 mana. Dream curve is being pretty consistant - 1. Whelp 2. Agent 3. Talon priest 4. Twilight guardian. Potion of madness to steal cannon and trade it to STB *feelsawsomeman*. Teched ooze ofc and hero power makes the pirate match up bearable. Reno priest is not as consistant, tho. I'll check my tracker when I get on pc to see my wild renomage data vs pirate. Was wandering around rank 4-6 last season. The deck is insanely well equipped for aggro meta - deathlord, dirty rat, mistress, ooze, doomsayer, explosive sheep, Reno ofc and as much removal as any mage run, i get to live to turn 5 to play belcher :) I recall having positive WR against warrior.
I rather play against reno, but I actually don't play both of these archetypes this season (Never played any deck containing Patches).
What's fun about playing a game where this happens - you had answers to just about everything I played, and at the end you healed back up to 30, and played 2 - 10 mana spells that basically are unstoppable. Or, you played a 1 mana spell that turned into bigger and bigger minions all game. 45 minutes later you feel like it really didn't matter what you had in your deck, the game was going to play out the same no matter what anyhow. Makes you wish the game would have been 15 minutes, then you queue up again and it's a mage/warlock/druid and you say to yourself, "oh man, here goes another 45 minutes because your turns take forever and it's basically the same as the last game I played, but I gotta sit here while you comb through your cards to decide how you're going to get to 30 health and 2 - 10 mana spells again." Maybe it's just me but I want the turns to be just a little bit faster with minions on the board, not 10 cards in each players hand while they decide what's the worst card to get rid of.

So it's only the deck you lose(?) against that only "scum" play?
I ran a PW deck for a couple of days. Does that make me scum?
It's getting pretty preposterous that people are equating decks played to quality of the person. Maybe a kid decided to play HS and he didn't have enough to craft a huge deck so he tried PW. He has no idea the community has a bad view of PW and is just learning. Or maybe he sees other PW decks and it looks fun.
If you want to call anyone scum, look no further than Blizzard themselves. They made the cards.
Let's not go off-topic (which I started doing). If you want to discuss this further feel free to PM me on this forum.
No, it's not the only deck I lose against, and not only decks I lose to are scum to play. However, you know just as well as I do what the reasons are for community-members to call PirateWarrior in particular 'scum'.
Also in my opinion: people who play these decks are just as guilty as Team 5.
Problem is it depends on Reno so it won't stop the plunder for long. Jade Shaman can beat the pirates, but then you would be playing Jade Shaman. Basically, control players better hope Ungoro delivers or they may have to walk the plank.

I expect pirate warrior to get additional nerfs shortly after the expansion is out when it continues to be 30-40% of the meta with a 60% winrate. It's broken in both formats. I can't even play renolock anymore in wild, was stuck at rank 9 due to all the pirate warriors. Switched to dragon priest and am rank 7 and still climbing. Upgrade needs to be nerfed to 2 mana, frothing to 4 mana. If that's not enough, winaxe and arcanite need +1 mana to their cost too.

Pirates are nerfed? The nerfs are so pathetic weak, lacking and useless is hard to see any diference. <_<

Make Patches a 1/3 or 2/1, but remove charge.
My Priest deck eats Pirate Warriors for lunch. 65-70% win rate.

Golden legendary cards opened: Ragnaros the Firelord, Auctionmaster Beardo, Kalimos, Primal Lord
I don't think there is an algorithm that makes you queue into different classes depending on what you play etc I think it's pure "luck"

Looks greedy, and if it stops pirates, awesome.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
When I am facing lots of pirate warriors I just pick my tempo mage and destroy them.
