I often try to create cards that have many different things going on. Flavor, both WoW related and HS related, is extremely important to me. Right behind that I hold balanced. This often leads me to create cards I find very flavorful and highly balanced, but generally boring. Here though I found something I actually find elegant and enjoyable. This effect probably seems somewhat out of place in Warlock, but if you look at the class that isn't really the case. Cards like Bane of Doom and Voidcaller are already existing examples of Warlocks cheating on mana to summon Demons. I feel like this card pushes the class in a direction it went a long time ago and then left behind, but in a way that is new and cool. This is the sort of card I'd actually love to see from a gameplay standpoint. I hope some of you feel the same.
This is a card that tells a little story. This is an initially powerful weapon, found in a long forgotten tomb, or something like that. But the years haven't been kind to it, and it snaps in half after its first hit. You're then left with half of a sword (or a "Short Sword" if you will) that is only half as strong.
Some of you may recognize this from my Worgen class. It's a pretty simple card, so it didn't need any adapting to fit into a real class. I thought Paladin most needed a card like this. They have a good weapon at 4 mana, but nothing comparable to Fiery War Axe. This card does the same damage overall, but is split up into unequal amounts, so you'll need some strategy to use it. It also is not very good with weapon buffs, because it's actually two separate weapons with 1 durability each.
"You wouldn't believe how calm good old Deathwing can get, if you just offer to buy him a beer."
Whether you need an enemy minion to lay low for a moment and spare you that one crucial attack, or you really need a minion you recently played to live and see another turn - there is almost no problem that can't be solved with a pint of cold beer.
Having 1-cost minions teme for paladin (Small-Time Recruits), why making it a priest card? Beacuse for paladin would be OP, and priest doesn't have an aggro deck to abuse it, and maybe this card could make it viable. Or maybe just as a 1-of to bring back your Northshire Clerics and Crystalline Oracles.
A card intended for Renolock, when you need to drop some spells without hurting your minions/yourself. Cards like Hellfire and Felfire Potion would deal 3 and 5 damage respectively, and cost 1. Twisting Nether and DOOM! would be 1-mana removal, with draw a card on the latter case.
Kazakus' Potions would only have the discount if you have the "Deal 1/4/8 damage to ALL minions" text, with the other effect tacked onto it. Cards such as the aforementioned Kazakus Potion and Demonwrath would only be able to target minions.
Additionally, it would be an alternate option for a deck that runs these high cost Area of Effect spells, such as a deck with Medivh, the Guardian.
Weaken your enemies before you pummel them into submission!
Specifically designed for Enrage/Control Warriors for gaining massive amounts of armour with Armorsmith or preparing a burst of damage with Frothing Berserker or Grommash Hellscream (which your opponent has a chance to counter of course). Also, we haven't had some Enrage synergies in quite a while; let's give Taunts and Pirates a rest shall we?
Compare to Hunter's Mark and Execute for balancing. Don't worry. No 1 mana trickery for Combo Warrior here.
Massive amounts of thanks to the community! Good luck everyone!
"Shooting lasers and looking awesome is his thing."
my first entry! may the most awesome card win :)
..yeah i know, priest weapon.
A cute Priest card here, it increases enemy minion's Attack and give her text to the minion killed this.
But wait, it give +1 Health to enemies. Don't worry, friendly minions can gain this text by killing enemy minions with this Deathrattle.

To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of the women.

SoonTM
I know, an unassuming card that can quickly get out of hand with spell damage. But it's fun nevertheless, and is an MTG tribute 2 times over.
Rogue Deckbuilder. Midrange/Combo player.
You'd think promotion would be quick when your boss keeps drinking his own poisons, but then you'd be wrong.
